Heritage Vancouver has pulled out the big guns
At the top of the list is the iconic art deco Burrard Bridge, completed in 1932, which has earned a spot on the list for the past six years because the city is pushing to overhaul its look with outer bike lanes, known as outriggers. It's akin to placing a stainless steel hula-hoop over your grandmother's ball gown, Heritage Vancouver notes dryly. Second on the list are about 40 to 60 of the city's historic public schools, which continue to be threatened with demolition as part of a seismic upgrading program. Downtown's Robson Square Complex, which is 30 years old and an internationally recognized architectural landmark, is third on the list because of the province's proposal to cover it over with wood laminate for use as a public meeting place.

Forbidden City Constructed during the Ming and Qing dynasty eras, native Chinese call it Gu Gong while the tourism board and guests alike now call it the Palace Museum. It holds the record for being the largest palace complex in the world, sprawling over 74 hectares of property located at the very heart of Beijing. Bam, heritage night.
Last Friday was Falls Church High School's Heritage Night :). My group did a martial arts portion. I'm the girl in the middle with the ugly stance (I didn't know my knee was bent x_x;; Those capris are too tight anyways!). It was a Romeo & Juliet thing, Leo being Romeo, and I'm the dear Juliet, except I didn't kill myself. The VSA Dance was stunning with the girls' light show and the boys' breakdancing even though they pulled their routine together in three days.Other than that, just yesterday I submitted my application to Youth For Understanding USA to study abroad this summer to Japan. I actually first submitted my application to AFS (another study abroad program) with a $75 application fee but changed my mind because it was too expensive ($6,100!!). I then applied to YFU because the
