And it's not Heavenly Sword 2, though the new title will rely heavily on cinematics, much like PS3 property which Sony still owns.Cinematic action coming to Xbox 360According to GamesIndustry.biz, UK developer Ninja Theory has confirmed development of a new cinematic action game for Xbox 360 and PS3.Details are still sparse, but Nina Kristensen, the game's chief developer, says the new title will build upon the movie-like dexterity for which made Heavenly Sword popular."We're certainly targeting a triple-A blockbuster, with two and a half years in production - a big game that builds on our core strengths of story-telling, cinematics and combat," said Kristensen, while adding the possibility of including a complete CGI movie with the game."If you want to make something that's really high-en
Rumors of a Heavenly Sword sequel surfaced today after a Chicago focus group was assembled to answer questions about the title's future.Tell me what you like about meHeavenly Sword developer Ninja Theory would love to make the 2007 button masher into a proper trilogy, but first they want to make sure the final two games turn out just right. And how will they do that? With a survey that just so happens to contain major hints about an upcoming sequel.A tipster over at Kotaku said the survey was conducted by a market research firm called Chatter, which had gamers answering a series of Heavenly Sword questions about everything from the title's cutscenes to their thoughts on the title's disappointing sales. But that wasn't all. Following the recap questions Chatter also grilled participants abou
Heavenly Sword is a hack and slash action game similar to God of War, but more heavily focused on the action aspect. It has beautiful graphics and is an amazing start to a franchise despite its missteps, the biggest of which is the brevity of the game's story and single player campaign.Gameplay: 8/10Pros: 3 different stances with some great combos and transitions, engaging story, exciting and chaotic action gameplay.Cons: The ranged stance is almost entirely useless, only 2 attack buttons, not enough puzzles, and an extensive overuse of "aftertouch" (tilt controlled) aiming /firing missions.Graphics: 9.5/10Pros: Absolutely gorgeous with a fantastic art direction and amazing character design and animation. Cut-scenes are gorgeous. Impressive number of characters on the screen. A truly tech
Tantos juegos y tan poco dinero…

Aaron Thomas at GameSpot reviewed Heavenly Sword for the PlayStation 3, check out what he thought were the good and bad qualities of the game followed by his video review.
The Good
Superb presentation and excellent acting make the game feel like a movie
Having three different attack stances works well and keeps the combat fresh
Sixaxis motion controls are implemented nicely
From the moment it starts until the moment the credits roll, the game never lets up.
The Bad
So short it can be finished in an afternoon
Not enough variety to the bad guys’ design and attacks
Some bosses feel a little cheap.

As Its Title Suggests, A Godsend For The PS3
Now a lot of you have been whining that the PS3 just doesn’t have any good games. You may even say that’s why 599USD hasn’t had a PS3 review until now. But now all of you complainers can shut your mouths, because the next killer app for the PS3 is here, and 599USD has the full review up and ready for your eyes to behold.

Simply perfect. You use the Triangle button to attack and then perform a counter attack, and the Square to just attack. I guess it makes more sense just to use the Triangle, but the Square button is there so that us seasoned gamers can learn not to use it. There are a myriad of combos to use, and just looking at that redhead’s perfect body as she twirls in the air is a sight to see. The areas are also vast and diverse. You’ll play through arenas, stadiums, coliseums, and everything in between. And you’ll have a blast button-mashing through the waves and waves of en

Suscribete
Play Magazine are first out of the block with a review for the game, which is due Sept 12th (US) Sept 14th (EU). Still despite Play Magazine being a liberal sprinkler of 10's, it appears there may well be substance behind the pretty redhead and the 10GB of sound.

Now to all you Blu-ray disk haters, who says that Blu-ray is not needed! And we must say this loud and clear. We found out via Develop Magazine that the PS3 game Heavenly Sword has well over 10GB of sound alone with about 4500 different lines of dialogue and 3 ½ hours of music. Show me a normal disc that can cater this.
This really tells you that we do in fact need Blu-ray, 10GB and that is without the graphics, art, textures and so on, you get my drift.

PS3 gamers were very satisfied with the Heavenly Sword demo on Playstation Network July 26th. As you all know the demo was very short and for that reason many gamers didn't know for sure whether the game would be long enough. They have now exposed that Heavenly Sword will be offering somewhere between 12 and 15 hours of gameplay plus there will be enough extra content to make the game interesting enough to buy and play it over and over again. We can probably expect extras like: outfits and weapons for Nariko.Well, I thinks that's a reasonable amount of gamepaly. What do you think? Will you buy this game? I certainly will :)It's not really clear when Heavenly Sword will be released, but IGN says it's September 12th. Although this is not confirmed yet. Lets not hope any delay!Source: QJ

For those of us with PlayStation 3 consoles, I’m happy to say that what has all the makings of a potentially good game will be coming out very soon. Yep, Ninja Theory’s much anticipated hack-and-slash game Heavenly Sword is headed to store shelves on September 12th, 2007.
I’ve played the demo, and was certainly impressed with the game’s graphical prowess...
A video shows the evolution of Heavenly Sword from 2003 when it was still an Xbox exclusive being shown off in a concept trailer that makes it resemble Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. And then when Sony purchased exclusivity in 2005 and it made the jump to a PS3 exclusive. Very fun to see the changes in art direction.

A couple of days ago there was a rumor that Heavenly Sword will get an offline and an online multiplayer. The game would contain Capture the Flag and Deathmatch by which you could make your own custom character. Ninja Story answered to this rumor:"This is a fake. There is not a shred of truth in this. Sorry guys!"This is not the first rumor that doesn't seem to be true. This game will be released in September. Thursday next week you can download the demo on Playstation Network.*Source
Suscribete
Heavenly Sword story will not stop after the first part that is going to come out September 12th. It will get sequels. Even the story of the second part is ready. Tam Antoniades, co-founder and Chief Design of Ninja Story told this in an interview today.Nariko, the main character of Heavenly Sword has a sister, Kai. Maybe we will see her instead of Nariko in the second part of the game. Thursday next week the Playstation Network will be updated with the demo of Heavenly Sword. The game itself will be available September 12th in the stores for you to buy.

Nariko is heavenly swords main character, she is a beautiful red head who embarks on a quest for vengeance against an evil empire. The heavenly sword is an ancient powerful artifact that if used by a mortal their life slowly gets drained. The video shows the games stunning graphics, the locals that were presented the game engines amazing capabilities especially the draw distance. The fighting sequences remind me allot of God of War. I guess that not a bad thing!!! Goddess of war!!The Heavenly Sword video and other gamers day videos just click the PS3 tag .http://rpc.icerocket.com:10080/
I had heard that Heavenly Sword would be featured on last night's Heroes but I wasn't ready for how. Usually when you see a video game in a show you expect it to be some generic knockoff (a la the apparent GTD rip off in Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny.)
Had I checked out the video yesterday I wouldn't have seen it in the show, truth is when the scene in question arouse a was more than unimpressed. I thought what was looking at was just a generic God of War 2/Prince of Persia knockoff. I dunno - check out the video below and tell me if it looks impressive or not.
