Color is energy and water is a conductor of energy. The two combined create a beneficial color energy bath. According to the beliefs of “Chromotherapy”, or color therapy, one must balance the chakras in order to get rid of the emotional or physical problem. Each color helps us to balance our body’s energy with [...]

I grew up believing in some white bearded powerful deity that would hear my petitions, and in some mysterious way answer my request.
I went to a private school that spoke of sin and salvation in the same breath. Most of my early life I surrendered to other people’s beliefs about who I was.
I had [...]

Pickling? What?
Most pickled items are sealed and sterilized in jars with vinegar toprotect them from degradation. They come close to being almost be asgood as fresh. Vinegar is also a good health aid.
Water and air are potential causes too, so is stress and bad selfimaging. Should we stop thinking and living?

One of my duties as a CES Coordinator is to visit teachers and students in their various classes, assisting with administrative matters. Last night, as I met with a class in central Sweden, I spoke at length with the teacher about her recent family tragedy. Her twenty-one year old son had passed away a month ago in a motor accident.
She explained that even though there had been many tears and a feeling of void in their lives, there had still been light - even peace. I asked her how it was possible? She spoke calmly but resolute: “It’s because of Christ.” I thought for a second about others who have expressed similar words, and although I for the most part have little reason to doubt their sincerity, there was something different about this woman. She really meant what she said. I could see it in her countenance; still the same person, yes, but different still.
“How do you mean?” I asked. She explained that she had always believed in the ato
When we are feeling sad, angry, fearful or grief-striken, there is nothing better than being able to talk to another person in order to release our deeply held feelings. However, sometimes it is hard to talk about our problems. It is hard to bottle up so much feelings, frustration and anger. Sometimes there is also no opportunities to ‘talk’ to anyone about our problems. Anything which goes in must come out. The best way to ‘talk’ about your problems is to your diary or journal, or simply through writing it out.
Writing can help us to resolve feelings or thoughts which have become stuck in our consciousness — especially if we find it difficult to talk about them, or even have no opportunities to talk about them. Writing is also a way to help us to take pleasure in life, on a daily basis. After writing, we often feel much better just for having ‘talked’ about it.
Keeping a journal allows you to jot down all your thoughts, ideas, sadnes

An innovative gel, made from patient’s own blood cells, heals wounds faster and more effectively than antibiotics. Autologous platelet gel, or APG, is made from platelet cells, which naturally work to stop bleeding when blood vessels are punctured. In your body, platelets form a clump at the wound site, release chemicals to make blood clot and then form a scab to start the healing process. The gel is made by concentrating blood into a rich plasma with high levels of platelets that is thick enough to rub on wounds. In one small study, wounds treated with APG healed completely in close to 80 percent of cases, compared to just 50 percent of cases treated with antibiotics.A separate study showed the gel to heal wounds faster than those treated with an antibiotic ointment. The gel may one day help to prevent infections with hospital superbugs and help people with diabetes who suffer from chronic ulcers. While APG is being worked out, though, there are already some great options to help wounds

Fifteen percent of diabetes sufferers develop ulcers, usually because of impaired sensation in their feet.Every 30 seconds, someone in the world has their foot amputated as the result of a diabetic foot ulcer. In 2001, almost $11 billion was spent treating diabetic ulcers and amputations in the United States.Researchers are currently conducting the first randomized, double-blind controlled trial investigating the use of honey for diabetic ulcers. Many experts believe that treating wounds with honey could offer tremendous benefits to the approximately 200 million diabetics worldwide.Diabetics often have decreased ability to fight infection because of poor circulation, so diabetic ulcers treated with antibiotics can become colonized with drug-resistant organisms. But honey fights bacteria in numerous ways.Honey's combination of acidic pH, low water content (which dehydrates bacteria), and the hydrogen peroxide secreted by its naturally-occurring enzymes make it effectively immune to res
When growing up I felt responsible for my mothers life, for her wellbeing and her drinking. This is not unusual for children to alcoholics, but I think my feeling for responsibility was increased as my mother lived trough me and I was the only life she had. I did not want her to live trough me, I wanted to have my own independent life and that destroyed her...at least that is how I feel. How much can you help a person who is depressed? How much is your responsibility if you have someone close to you who is depressed? None is the intellectual answer, a lot is the emotional answer. If you love somebody, you want that person to be happy, and many times you might think the resposibility is yours to make sure the person feels better.Love does not heal all wounds but love might help you heal yourself. But you need to have the courage within you to take that journey trough your soul. So I guess the answer to my thoughts (if there really is an answer) is that love the person who has a hard tim
