Kia Soul heading to U.S and China

Choose Bari over Brindisi if you're heading to Puglia in Italy
Palm trees and benches line the pedestrian shopping street Sparano da Bari, which sports Gucci, Nike and Benetton. There's a spiffed-up and well-lighted waterfront park and public beach, and the centro storico — old Bari — is a colorful residential neighborhood in the heart of the busy commercial city.Be sure to visit the Church of St. Nicholas, an Orthodox Catholic church and major European pilgrimage site where the relics of St. Nicholas were brought from Turkey in the 11th century. You could make your way to Lecce, but there are many pretty little towns along the coast north and south of Bari. You'll need a car — it might be worth renting one for a day or two and exploring.

Cuba: Economy Finally Heading In Right Direction
Cuba’s economy was long held down by dictator Fidel Castro but his younger brother, Raul Castro, the new acting President of Cuba, has enacted some small reforms that are stepping stones toward economic improvement. He has legalized the sale of computers, DVD players and cell phones, allowed Cubans to stay at hotels previously reserved for tourists and, most recently, lifted the wage ceiling for employees in Cuba. The wage restriction was a major damper on production in Cuba and one of the strongest sources of complaints from Cuban workers because they were paid the same regardless of how hard they worked. Naturally if employees can’t make more money the harder they work, there is little motivation for them to exceed the absolute minimum for productivity. The fact the Raul Castro has

Leon Jackson Heading For Christmas No1 Spot
X FACTOR winner Leon Jackson is storming towards the Christmas No1 with his single When You Believe. The song was officially released 19th December and is on course to sell 300,000 copies by Sunday, when the Christmas chart will be announced. But he may face a late challenge from the Pogues and Kirsty MacColl, whose classic Fairytale Of New York got a boost this week from the row over Radio 1's censorship of the lyrics. Woolworths said they were selling 40 copies of Leon's single a minute, with their Scottish stores shifting twice as many as those down south.   Their branch in Bathgate, Leon's home town, sold out within two hours. Fans hurled their knickers at Leon last night as he performed in Scotland for the first time since his victory.   Teddy bears and underwear littered the stage as he sang When You Believe. More than 600 fans had queued for hours - some spending the night in freezing temperatures - to get a ticket for his appearance in a Liv

I Am Heading To The Midwest International Band And Orchestra Clinic Tomorrow
Well, I'm off.  I'm off to the see the wonders of the Midwest Clinic.  This will be my 12th or 13th trip…I'm not sure.  If you are a band director or orchestra director, in my opinion, this is a MUST do often type of clinic.  If you've never been to this clinic (or the Texas Bandmasters Clinic), then I strongly encourage you to attend this in the near future.   Attending this clinic, may very well change your outlook on what you do (certainly for the better)! The Midwest Clinic is always held this time of year and has been in Chicago for as long as I can remember.   Ever publisher that is publishing, every instrument maker that is making, every technology provider that is providing, and anyone who is anyone in our field can usually be found out there.  The days are full of concerts, information, exchange of information, learning sessions, and more. Heading to India
On Wednesday December 19, 2007, the Wild1 will be spreading his wings and heading off to India. I will be there until January 1. The main purpose of the trip is to attend my cousin’s wedding, but why not try and turn it into a money making opportunity? So other then visiting and hanging out with my relatives, I am going to try and see if there are any worth “wild” investments that grab my attention. I have already planned to meet with the Founder Sameer Nerurkar of Samira Habitats. His business has made rapid moves in the last couple of years and one of the hottest acts in the Mumbia area. Their expertise lies in strategic land development. Basically Samira Habitats is looking for investors to purchase a bundle of land, while they develop the land and surrounding area. Eventually they will buy back the land from you at the agreed upon contract, and all parties will be better off. But, of course, this is just a short excerpt of what the company does. I will be sure t

      Q. What are the defendant's options after being served? A. At this point, most defendants will hire an attorney to prepare their defense to the suit. The attorney will need to hear the defendant's version of events and scrutinize the complaint and summons. If the complaint appears deficient, legally or factually, the defendant may be advised to file one of several motions attacking it. Q. What

As a kid– no kidding– I hit tent revivals hosted by most of the major players in the evangelical community of the time. I had my head anointed with holy jesus oil by big names like Oral Roberts and Jimmy Swaggart and good old Billy Graham. I sat through several filmings of Jim Bakker’s TV show– agonizing. We're Heading Toward Financial Chaos
We are only at the beginning of the financial world coming to its senses after the bursting of the biggest credit bubble the world has seen. Everyone seems to acknowledge now that there will be lots of mortgage foreclosures and that house prices will fall nationally for the first time since the Great Depression. Some lenders and hedge funds have failed, and some banks have taken painful write-offs and fired executives. There's even a growing recognition that a recession is over the horizon. But let me assure you, you ain't seen nothin' yet.Rest of the article is....hereAnother interesting article is... here

Are we heading towards a new American-Russian cold war?
Is it evidence of Russia's increasing might? Evidence of their increasing aggression? Or a natural response to the building of the Mother of All Bombs (MOAB)?The U.S. Massive Ordnance Air Blast ,nicknamed the" Mother of all Bombs" is a large yield satellite-guided, air delivered device, which previously enjoyed the dubious accolade of most powerful non-nuclear weapon in history. These are thermobaric weapons which use oxygen from the atmosphere rather than carrying oxidizing agent in their explosives. They produce more energy than normal weapons but are hard to control. The U.S. used similar weapons to clear jungle for helicopter landing during the Vietnam war. The Soviet Union also developed its own fuel air weapons, deploying them against China and in Afghanistan. So even if nuclear bombs are banned, a big if, the potential for destruction by regular bombs will still be huge - almost equal to nuclear bombs. Some inputs from Tim Worstall, GroundReport.com, Gudem--

      Heading for the North Pole?
From Twenty Four Hours a Day, Nov. 23 : "Many of us use the excuse of not being able to do something perfectly to enable us to do nothing at all... we say to ourselves- I might make a mistake, so I'd better let the whole thing slide.... The mere fact that we will never reach these goals should not prevent us from doing the best we can."Recently I heard someone speak about compasses- They point to the North Pole. Does that mean that everyone who uses one plans to go to the North Pole? Obviously not. A compass is used to show us the "direction of north"- that is the goal towards which we aim(not the North Pole itself). In life, we often have a main goal- a direction towards which we'd like to aim, as well (by the time we reach 120 years). This might be something in "self -improvement", a career, an exercise profile, etc.But because the road to that place sometimes seems so long, and the end-goal seems so distant, we often give up without even starting.Writing these meditations is an e

USD Bounces - Heading Down Again.
Yesterday, the greenback continued it’s much needed recovery and it made some significant gains against the EUR and the Sterling. The main reason for the USD rebound this week was concern that U.S Banks will continue to project credit related losses and this caused carry trades to unwind. The leading financial institutions in the U.S have already reported more than $50 b in losses and many investors are sure that there is more to come. Therefore this created a risk-aversion scenario as investors reduced there risk abroad and backed away from investing in higher yielding currencies. Last week, Fed Chairman Bernanke created more negative sentiment surrounding the greenback by stating that the he expects the rising oil prices to increase inflationary pressures and that there will be a significant U.S economic slowdown in the near future. However ,with investors now shying away from carry trades and with losses in financial stocks expected to spread globally, the greenback may just be

Is the Property Market Heading for a Fall?
The housing market is becoming unstable and there are a number of areas now that are experiencing the first dips in property prices for years. Is the property market now heading for a fall and are the property prices sustainable? Some areas in London primarily have been seeing some falls, and there are a lot of people now moving out to some of the more regional areas of the country where the fall has not begun. Can we expect the whole country to experience the dips in prices or is this just a blip due to the current problems with the banking and mortgage crisis that are hitting the economic sector. With the shortfall of property and the lack of first time buyers getting onto the property ladded then it can only be expected that the market is going to slow down. The government have promised to invest heavily in building millions of start and cheap housing on brown field sites in the UK over the next 10 years, but has this come to late for many. It has been said that in order for a

The rental prices start heading up in Northern Ireland
Rental prices tend to lag the corresponding rises in house prices, essentially because rental contracts are generally 6 to 12 months in duration. With the incredibly strong rise in house prices in Northern Ireland over the last year to 18 months it could only be expected that the rents being asked for would make a move after the customary time lag. Now, the house prices have levelled off at the moment but that’s not stopped the rents starting to shift upwards. For example, in one estate which we have a vested interest in, a typical house was £130k in September 2006 vs £225k now. The increase in rents being asked is also heading upwards over that time from a typical £425 last year to £495 now. So far that’s only a 16% rental increase compared to the 73% price rise but I suspect that it’s merely a taster of things to come from the landlords as they test the water for reactions to that rise. Certainly if the prices of the houses resume their progress upwards I would

Tyler Zeller heading to Tobacco Road
As expected, Washington (IN) big man Tyler Zeller announced his intentions to attend North Carolina in an afternoon press conference. Zeller tried to downplay the role of the recent sanctions imposed on Coach Kelvin Sampson as a reason for spurning the Hoosiers, but one of his quotes following the press conference caught my attention. Zeller was asked how the sanctions affected his decision and here’s what he said: “A little bit, but not really. You gotta look at the long run and the more I looked into it, the long run was kind of confusing. I wanted to get it over with and I couldn’t figure out what exactly was going to happen. So a little bit, but like I said, I just felt more comfortable with North Carolina,” Zeller said. My good friend Dylan has been offering Alex and me a great deal on a room at the new Sidney Pier Hotel and Spa since he started working there in March as the Front Office Manager. So, we’re headed to Sidney BC, on Vancouver Island to take in all that the Pier has to offer. We’ll be staying in a Promenade Guestroom, which includes an ocean view from the bedroom! SWEET. Being a new hotel, their prices are still reasonable. Add in the special friend’s rate, and it’s impossible to pass up! I don’t know much about Sidney, other than it can rain like nobody’s business. I know this first hand from helping Dylan move there back in March. From what I gathered during my initial brief visit, it’s a sleepy, coffee shop ladened, book shop blessed, artsy, laid back, seaside kinda town. It’s only 20 minutes drive from Victoria, so there’s lots to do and see while over there. We’re planning on a relaxing stay, so we won’t get into too

Spyro heading to the big screen as a 3D CGI film.
The next game series to transcend from a video game to the big screen will be the purple and adorable Spyro the Dragon. According to a report today in Variety, The Animation Picture Co. picked up the film rights from Sierra Entertainment and is planning to turn Spyro into a 3D CGI feature film.Writers Steve and Dan Altiere (Dr. Dolittle 4 and 5) will pen a script based around the recent Legend of Spyro games, which are being planned as a trilogy. The most recently released game in that series was last week's Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night for the Wii, PS2, DS and GBA.Spyro will be The Animation Picture's third feature film; the company just finished Garfield Gets Real with Garfield creator Jim Davis. Considering that the Legend of Spyro game developers hired some big name Hollywood voice talent for their titles -- namely actors Elijah Wood, Billy West and Gary Oldman voicing Spyro, Sparx and Ignitus, respectively -- I would wager these individuals may be contacted to do the film.
