Casey Calvert, guitarist for post punk/ rock band Hawthorne Heights, was found dead early Saturday morning. Calvert was 26-years-old. According to several accounts Calvert appeared healthy on Friday night while spending time with friends before going to sleep for the night. One thing is clear. The media is no longer shy about exposing the housing boondoggle. We can easily fall into the category of looking at all the macro information and forget about one simple fact regarding the housing market, the house itself! Hawthorne's bilingual program, where 200 students are taught in Spanish for half the school day and in English the other half, is one of only two of its kind in Kentucky.The other is at Maxwell Elementary in Lexington.Since adopting the programs, both schools have seen their test scores increase dramatically."When we first started it, people were afraid that the students wouldn't do well," Hawthorne teacher Flora Martinez said. Hawthorne Heights is still rocking on, despite lately having a feud and leaving their label Victory Records. They claim that Victory Records posted multiple messages that they claimed to be from the band, including one that told fans to try and drop Ne-Yo's sales. It read:"As for Ne-yo, the name of the game is to decrease the chances of a sale here. If you were to pick up handful of Ne-yo CDs, as if you were about to buy them, but then changed your mind and didn't bother to put them back in the same place, that would work.
