Located at the mouth of the Thames River, entrance to New London Harbor, Connecticut at the eastern end of Long Island Sound sits the New London Ledge Lighthouse. Tina Miloane, who is 22-years-old, and Robert Seifer III, who is 24-years-old, got married on Wednseday at a haunted house were they both work.  They did so at the entrance to the outdoor cemetery of the haunted house, 7 Floors of Hell, which is located in Ohio. Robert, the groom, made his appearance to the wedding riding in a hearse, and later rising from a coffin held by six pallbearers. Robert’s father said, “It’s weird watching your son get out of a coffin,” and that “usually when you see someone in a coffin, they’re going the other way — in, not out.” The minister for the wedding was dressed as the Grim Reaper and read The Lord’s Prayer from a scroll.  Tim Perrien, who works with the couple, said “This is the sweetest wedding that I’ve ever been to.”  Perrien’s face had Halloween make-up on it and his date to the wedding, Jessica Repas, was dressed as the main character in the movie “Carrie.&rdq

Awhile ago we took a long weekend and went to St. Augustine.  I love a good ghost story so we planned on doing a ghost tour while there.  St. Augustine is the oldest continuously occupied city in the continental United Sates. A city with that much history is bound to have its share of ghost stories. Mrs. Mai Tai looked through the available ghost tours and there are quite a few to choose from.  She chose the Haunted Pub Tour.  Awesome. You get to listen to ghost stories and you get to drink as it is essentially a pub crawl to allegedly haunted bars. We visited four different bars or it might have been three.  I don’t remember the evening got a little fuzzy.  I had my digital camera with me and the guide will tell you where to snap some pictures.  We walked past an old cemetery and the guide said take a few shots and see if any ghost orbs show up. Fortunately, the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine had crawled the site and some of the projects can still be reviewed.  After looking at some of the project pages, many of the images and graphics weren’t archived.  That’s OK, though.  There is enough info in the text and in the images that did manage to be archived that you can figure out how to complete the projects.. and improve upon them in many cases. Screamscape.com is reporting some updates for the Haunted Mansion renovation currently taking place. Screamscape has obtained some confirmed information about the Haunted Mansion rehab at Walt Disney World which will involve the addition of a new Staircase scene, and upgrades to two other scenes. They confirm that The Black Widow Bride (they call it the Haunted Bride) “who’s husbands always seem to get the ax…” is indeed coming to the attic. The all new floating Madame Leota séance scene will also be added. They mention that the new effects for the Bride and floating Leota are new and improved over what was just installed in the Disneyland mansion not long ago. The all new scene being added to a previously “dead space” will be the Staircase scene as described last week. A couple bought the 100 year old haunted school house on pleasant view hill. Its been standing empty for as long as anyone can remember.  Its supposed to be haunted, but people tend to start saying that about any building that stands vacant for very long.   The last person who bought it and tried to fix it up died a strange mysterious death so that revived all sorts of rumors.  A couple from Tennessee bought it.  I’m guessing them to be in there 40’s with grown kids.    They seem like really really nice people.  If there are spirits there I think they will like them a lot.
