My personal review and some players' thoughts:Do you love to have a farm? :)The premise of Harvest Moon is pretty simple, at first - you are a city kid who happens to wander upon a farmer who decides to pass away his run down farm to you, with one condition, that you make it profitable in an year. At the beginning, after getting introduced to the townsfolk that live right next to the farm, you're set free to do whatever you want with the land you received. Each day consists of a 12 hour shift that roughly takes ten real minutes to pass - in that period, crops have to be planted or watered, cows and chickens have to be tended and eventual visits to town and the outskirts have to be made. Days also have random weather effects, like rain, sun or even snow. These can be previewed at the TV loc

The Farmers Guilds of both Canada and the United States of America are lobbying against Marvelous Interactive, the creators of the ever popular Harvest Moon video game series.
John Horton, spokesperson for the Farmers Guild of Canada spurred this cause in to action after witnessing his children avoiding chores at dawn -- instead devoting more attention to doing chores and farming tasks inside of the Harvest Moon world.
I watched the most beautiful harvest moon rise tonight. Unfortunately, I was riding in the car on our way home from dinner and did not have my camera with me. So as soon as I got home I tried to get some pics, of course with the horses in them. Harvest Moon is probably the most addicting game that I've come across. I have played it on different platforms like SNES, gameboy color & advance, N64 and playstation. The game will never be complete without the dog and of course, the cows. These animal papercrafts are very easy to build with only a page of parts each.Harvest Moon
We’re having a great time with the game. Might actually buy it. It’s a borrowed copy. Finally got a fishing pole. This game is really tough though. Managing time is not something I’m good at haha. I have one small plot of pumpkins, a couple trees that aren’t even growing, and I’ve been to the mine. I’m almost into Fall now I think and I’m still not getting anywhere. It’s much harder that the other HM games I’ve played. Or maybe I just don’t remember how it was to play them. Hmmmm.
I can’t figure out when to call the TV shopping. Maybe I’ll get that worked out this afternoon. Tough game, but very fun.
