Strange Cases de David Hartman parece que se perfila como una miniserie antológica por así decirlo, con cada número autoconclusivo, volviendo al bastante dejado de lado en estos tiempos método de contar una historia completa en cada comic book como hacía por ejemplo Global Frequency de Warren Ellis. The Abattor será el título del número dos y tendrá hombres lobo en abundancia en la universidad local donde desaparecen los estudiantes lo que llevará la acción a un matadero. Y David Hartman ha realizado un video montaje con sus ilustraciones que se intercalan en gran número a toda velocidad que aquí os dejamos junto con la portada del segundo número de Strange Cases.
Una vez más, y como no, David Hartman. Recientemente se ha hecho con una camara en HD que puede captar imágenes en lapsos de tiempo y la ha usado para filmar una de sus ilustraciones obteniendo como resultado estos 2 videos, en el primero dibuja y el segundo colorea por ordenador, titulando la grabación El arte de los monstruos. Esta ilustración está realizada para el sitio web de noticias de películas de terror Shock till you drop. En cuanto al siguiente libro de arte con Vanguard que se anunciaba ha sido retrasado indefinidamente hasta el año próximo ya que tiene mucho trabajo con Steve Niles y Disney actualmente.Y por cierto al parecer la miniserie Strange Cases finalmente solo tendrá 4 números y no los 6 números que iba a tener uno de los 2 nuevos proyectos en comic que había mencionado, así que esto podría confirmar que el segundo proyecto no era simplemente una historia corta o una colaboración. Por fín se revela uno de los posiblemente proyectos más ambiciosos de David Hartman en comic, artista del terror por el que tengo devoción, y seguramente se trate de la miniserie de 6 números en la que estaba trabajando, su primer proyecto largo en el mundo de las viñetas, aunque no se ha confirmado dicho extremo. El omnipresente Steve Niles es el creador del concepto, y la historia está guionizada por David Wickline que colabora habitualmente con Niles pero que tiene ya varias series independientes en curso.La historia se inicia con una reunión, convocan a los cazadores de monstruos más grandes del mundo al señorío de Holcomb para escuchar una oferta sin la que no podrían vivir mucho tiempo si la rechazan.
