 Harry Reid still is trying to hold on to this notion that the surge isn’t working, despite the evidence. We are talking about the man who said, “the surge has failed” before the surge even began, so this isn’t terribly surprising. Maybe he should talk to John Murtha about that. Murtha, after coming back from Iraq, had to grudgingly admit the surge IS working, before he spun it into the Democrats new strategy for defeat, which is that Iraq won’t be winnable because the Iraqi government will fail.  Even while saying that the surge “has not accomplished its goals,” Harry Reid is forced to admit the surge might be working: However, Reid acknowledged that the surge might be responsible for reducing the violence in the war-torn country.  Oh really, you think? In case you all missed it. Rush Limbaugh sold Harry Reid’s letter to Clear Channel requesting that Rush be censured for $2.1 Million on eBay. Rush then kept his word and matched the offer, making the total $4.2 Million. All the proceeds will go to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation, a group that gives scholarship money to the children of service members either killed in war or in the course of public duty. Rush is on the board of directors of this great organization.Amazingly, Media Matters is still running with the fake “Phony Soldiers” story. Man, what is wrong with Harry Reid? He tried to take some credit for what Rush did with that illegal letter that he and other Democratic senators sent to him and signed? If you haven't heard or seen the videos they will both be at the end of this post. The first will be the video of Reid taking two words, that Rush Limbaugh said, out of context and condemning them; the second will be a link to the video of Reid thanking Rush and trying to take credit for the money being raised.Senator Reid realized that his plan had backfired and tried to steal some of the credit from Rush. What to do, oh what to do!  What they better not do is anything to upset their nutroot base at MoveOn.org and other such moonbat haunts. Just 19 percent of voters nationwide had a favorable opinion of Mr. Reid in a Rasmussen Reports survey conducted last weekend — down from 26 percent a month ago and still lower than Mr. Bush’s 35 percent favorable rating. This is the man that is supposed to lead the senate, and what a fine job he has done. Since he took over as senate majority the senate has passed numerous domestic bills, stopped earmarks, and ended the war. At least that is what they promised to do. Both Tied In Favorability Rating Of 19%....Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is now viewed favorably by 19% of American voters and unfavorably by 45%. Just 3% have a Very Favorable opinion while 22% hold a Very Unfavorable views.Reid has been very visible over the past week in the furor over immigration reform. Dennis Miller is living proof that man can learn from their mistakes and move on. He has found conservatism and moved on from the mire that was his life as a liberal. He is intelligent, witty and extremely well spoken. I am not at all surprised that he made the leap of faith to conservatism. In the video at Hot Air Dennis Miller eviscerates Harry Reid right before our very eyes. He reaches into Reids shrunken chest and pulls his black and curmudgeonly beating heart out to the light of day and it burst into flames at the first rays of clean wholesome sunlight. Today in the Washington Post there is an article regarding the war-funding deal entitled: “Negotiators Agree on War-Funding Package.” Opening with: “House and Senate negotiators reached agreement yesterday on war-funding legislation that would begin bringing U.S. troops home from Iraq as early as July, setting a goal of ending U.S. combat operations by no later than March.” I wonder who these “negotiators” are and why this tidbit of information is not elaborated on. The implication in this title and opening is that it has all been agreed upon and it is only now going to await the intransigent president to veto. So, we’ll see who really cares about the troops. Now this bill has gone through a lot of iterations over the years and the public may not be familiar with it as the "Screw Nevada Bill." Back in the '80s it was called the "C'mon, Idaho Put Out And She Doesn't Even Like Me Bill." Then there was the infamous "But Baby, I Thought You Brought The Trojans Bill."
