The two weed smoking friends are back. This time they become suspects of terrorism by bringing a bong onto an airplane. When they are in Guantanamo Bay, they luckily escape and join a group of Cuban escapees going to Florida. Although not as good as the first film, this film is still good for a quick laugh. This film is almost completely different from the first expect for the type of humor and characters. This one relies heavily on raunchy jokes and racial jokes for it's humor. I didn't expect it to be some great piece of comedic work or anything going into it. There is no doubt that John Cho and Kal Penn have great chemistry together. I enjoyed the heck out of Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. If only for the Neil Patrick Harris cameo. I think he is an absolute riot for making fun of himself in that way. Obviously now we know that he is gay but does that make his character of Barney on How I met Your Mother any less of a womanizer. Nope. Barney and Neil Patrick Harris (from the Harold and Kumar movies) would get along pretty well. Although I think that NPH would be way more than Barney could handle.The premise of the movie is that Harold and Kumar are heading to Amsterdam to follow the girl from the first movie. However they are mistaken for terrorists and and then on a cross country trip to evade the law. This movie will actually provide much more social commentary than the quest for the perfect meal. According to a December 6, 2007 Schedule 13E3 by Harold’s Stores, shareholders voted in favor of a 1:1,000 share reverse split. My 999 shares (that I bought for $0.18/share) should be redeemed for $0.30/share very soon. This is a 66% profit in a matter of months. Another easy $100+!! On 11/13/07 I purchased 999 shares of Harold’s Stores (HLDI) for $0.18 a share. Why? Because according to their most recent definitive proxy statement, on December 6 they will be voting on a 1:1,000 reverse/forward stock split with fractional shares to be paid out at $0.30 per share for every pre-split share. This means that in just over a month I will make a 66% profit on my investment (as long as shareholders vote in favor of the split). I originally attempted to purchase the shares when they were around 15 cents, but due to a positive quarterly report the price went up a bit. So I will have to settle for 66% instead of 100%. There is still time to get in on this one. Just “do your own due diligence” before any transaction.

American games magazine Game Informer will have exclusive coverage in their December issue about an upcoming Ghostbusters 3 videogame. We’re tentatively calling it the Ghostbusters 3 game, here’s the quote that explains why… “Harold Ramis, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd are getting back together and revisiting their roles to make a sequel to Ghostbusters 1 and 2 – in video-game form. Surely bodybuilding fans from around the world will be happy to hear that the former Mr. America and Mr Universe, Harold Poole, decided to return to the public eye after a very long absence. The last time he competed was at the 1982 IFBB World Pro Championship. After that he removed himself from the spotlight. We can see the interest towards bodybuilding thanks to Poole's new Website: www.haroldpoole.com You can check it out, it has some interesting information there.Harold Poole started it all as a quarterback on his football team at Shortridge High School in Indianapolis. After that he placed fourth in the school wrestling championship and had a lot of physical achievements. His bodybuilding career was also filled with success and all culminated with the induction in the IFBB Hall of Fame in 2004 and in the WBBG Hall of Fame in 2007. He still lives in Florida and keeps and training and practicing martial arts. Truly a great body and a great inspiration in bodybuilding.

Kal Penn's Kumar Patel is perhaps the most popular portrayal of Desi youth in a major motion picture (he played a foreign student in the National Lampoon movies, not an AB Desi). Yes the movie was bad awful in a lot of places, but we do remember Freakshow's [Swedish] wife? Anyway, Harold & Kumar are both coming back next year for part deux. I saw the first Harold and Kumar movie in the theatre.  I had high expectations.  I left the theatre disappointed. A few years later Harold and Kumar 2 is being released.  I am willing to give it a chance but I will wait to see it on DVD.

Hold on to your tofu–Harold and Kumar 2 is coming in 2008! Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle is one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen–and I’ve seen it at least 40 times! I’d often watch this classic during my work day at EA as I slaved away on the EAK team. If you haven’t seen Harold and Kumar (you’re an idiot ), then you’re missing a comedic masterpiece that ranks up there with American Pie and There’s Something About Mary. It’s basically about two guys–Harold the Korean and Kumar the East Indian–who get the munchies and must have White Castle. Man, that first joint was hilarious, between the cheetah riding scence, NPH’s outlandishness, to Freak Show & his wife’s promiscuity, it all made for an unexpected classic. All you Michael fans out there, rejoice for he is back! Executive Producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof have let it out at TCA that Harold Perrineau will be back next season on LOST. I have been wondering whether or not Michael was going to make a reappearance any time soon, turns out he is. I cannot say that I feel any excitement, I haven’t really been attached to the character so, I guess it’s cool. I do like Harold Perrineau (I still think of him as Mercutio in “Romeo + Juliet”…) Anyway, so keep a look out for him this season. I might also have more news about this at Comic Con. Ok so The MOVIE OF THE SUMMER finally is here and we finally got time to go see it! And.... I was disappointed in it! What is more frustrating is I am not sure why. Ok I have read the book about 5 times (mostly because I wanted to have it down when the movie came along... but what actually ended up happening was I became really attached to certain characters in the book and they were not developed very well in the movie. Delores Umbridge who was played brilliantly by Imelda Staunton was a hoot to watch but as evil as she was in the movie, she was worse in the book. She was so corrosive in the book and the way she insinuated herself in Hogwarts and affected the students and the teachers lives was really underscored in the movie. My other beef was with Luna. I pictured her character as much more lackadaisical and goofy. The movie, while addressing that sorta did not really show that for her enough. I am not quite sure exactly why I was disappointed. I just reading up on Orioles.com today and saw two articles posted on whether Harold Baines or Albert Belle are legitimate candidates for the Hall of Fame.Well, let's consider Harold Baines first. He always seen as a quiet, focused, but steady and consistent. He's a local guy from across the Bay Bridge and although he came up short of 3,000 hits (he had 2,866 career hits), he played 22 years for the White Sox, A's, Rangers, Orioles and Indians. Baines finished with a .289 average, 384 home runs, 488 doubles, 1,299 runs scored, 1,062 walks against just 1,441 strikeouts and 2,830 games played.Should he get in: Yes.
