      Harajuku ~ Meadow Lodging
The newly opened 'O' Hotel in Koregaon Park, bang opposite the German Bakery, has a cozy Japanese meadow lodging ~ Harajuku. It's a well set, but as of now a sparsely populated restaurant. The maroon ambiance is well balanced by the use of gold and curvy arrangement for private seating (and we thought it was the tank which held fresh sealife, sheesh!). The lighting is appropriately dim and the sak

Miley Cyrus is a Harajuku Lover - Fash Match!
Miley Cyrus is taking over the tween world and we couldn't be happier. There has been Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and a couple other superstar tween's and so far all of them have been rather bad role models. Britney is bi-polar, Christina went dirrrrrty and well, Justin did okay but he bounced from the Backstreet Boys as soon as his contract ended and went solo so he never really did the tween thing. Miley Cyrus on the other hand seems to be doing okay. Her dad is a country singer, and an actor on her show 'Hannah Montana'. This makes her a little bit more used to the land of celebrity than most. So she isn't deviating too badly. When Miley does rarely go out it's generally out with her mom Tish for some mother daughter bonding time. Super cool parental guidance is definitely keepin

      Harajuku: Bargain Hunting and Sight-Seeing
I first heard about the word and place Harajuku from our HR in Makati. She would always tease me not to fall in love with girls in Harajuku. Well, I finally set foot on this place. I can say that this is like an upscale Okachimachi. Takeshita street is filled with so many souvenir shops, fashion accessories, clothes shops, jewelries, lingerie shops, RTWs, crepe shops and restaurants. Compressed and just one street and this place is filled with so much people who want to find affordable fashion wears.Along Yamanote line, get-off at Harajuku and then when you go out of the station, this street is already visible from the other side. One thing for sure is that your money here can buy more than you can buy in the fashion streets of Ginza, Roppongi and Shibuya.Wolfgang's restaurant is also here. I don't really know if this is really his restaurant. But from outside, it seems that this restaurant serves delicious food. Many foreigners fill this road. When visited this place, most people we

so i ended up getting a little behind in writing comments for photos... sorry about that! i ended up posting a number of images from harajuku this week; i hope that you enjoy them! one of the neat things about seeing the different cosplay (costume-wearers) people in harajuku is how foreign tourists can't take enough photos! it's really odd: many tourists will be wearing awkward grins (like grandparents reacting to nipple piercings) but forget their mixed emotions long enough to snap a few dozen photos. i will be posting a few photos in the future on their reactions-- i try to take photos of people taking photos. it's weird. but i find it so interesting that people give me faces with such contempt and bitterness when they find my lens following them-- even though they feel

It was Japan's second Monday off in a row, last Monday having been Respect for the Aged Day (Keiro no Hi).I spent the day enjoying what has become the very slightly cooler weather of the past few days, walking through Tokyo's Shinjuku and Yoyogi down to Harajuku. Harajuku, one of Tokyo's hubs of street culture, was as packed as ever on a holiday and also, as ever, full of as many fashion permutations as you can imagine. It wasn't exactly fashion, and it wasn't tradition, either – a middle aged guy sitting on the edge of a flower bed on Omotesando Avenue in ripped jeans and sunglasses with his four dogs, all of them coolly decked out, if not in ripped jeans, then in sunglasses, too!Book a hotel in Japan with BookingsJapanese FictionJapan Book Shop Amazon UKHappi CoatsTagsJapan Tokyo Kyoto Nagoya Kyush
