Things are starting to take shape now in the new year. For the last 3 months I have working with a fellow runner train for a road marathon. I trained with her because I had a marathon myself in Feb. The endless road miles did begin to wear me down. At times I was running trails on Saturday, then running long road runs on Sunday. Now that my friend is off to Arizona for the Rock in Roll marathon this weekend, I can charge ahead, and really focus on whats ahead.I have a small trail race on Saturday (21K), then on Sunday I managed to have others join me in a early 5am trail run out in El Moro, we will be using our headlamps for about 90min. With this large of a turnout I expect to have a blast.

Enjoyed the company and caught up with Sequim life during our vacation time in Mexico.New Year's Eve midnight came fast and passed in Sequim without much ado. Just touching bases... we've been really busy the last 10-12 days or so. The diving has been pretty good, there were a few predicted swells that really didn't cause much surf here in Kona. I've got a night dive tonight. We were skunked on the dive last week, but apparently there were seven mantas on the dive a couple of days back.The photo above is of White Margin Nudibranchs (Glossodoris rufomarginata). We see them quite often on overhangs, archways or caves. Pat took it on a dive at "Golden Arches". The best way to spot them is to look for their spiral shaped egg masses, if you see an egg mass the "parents" are generally nearby. Aloha, Steve

Wow, 2 months since I have posted anything, I am certainly slacking, or nothing much has gone on. Well, you would think with the writer's strike, my TV viewing would have dwindled, leaving me with a lot of time to chronicle my days. Well it has been awhile since I've posted here on my blog or since I've read anyone's blog for that matter but it's because I have been enjoying my time off from work ... it's been great!I've spent obscene amounts of money for Christmas, been to a couple of parties and slept in late.Tonight I cooked a few things to take out to my in-law's house for our lil new year celebration. With much hype about the Ps3, it has seemed to slumped and only recently stepped up it's game with a price cut... With he Wii having very little publicity it has exceeded all expectations and is growing rapidly... Xbox has been steady all year long and I think Microsoft have to thank Halo 3 for that..
