Summary: A few days after Halloween, MMDT20 host David Tanny stretches for a connection between my Jerry Lewis-lite cover of Fly Me To The Moon and the haunting holiday.
"The moon is something that werewolves like to howl at. It could be a Halloween song. I don't care!" DT says.
And neither do they voters, who kept my song airborne for another week, at No. 8 on the chart.
Demand a paper trail
Folks across the country are headed to the polls this week to vote on meaningless propositions and so forth. Better you should check the box for Fly Me To The Moon on the MMDT20 ballot.
But the lever-pulling doesn't end there. The polls never close at the Dr. Demento request page. Please ask for more of my songs!

Halloween actually started out pretty sad because I've been under the weather and actually called in sick to work on tuesday and wednesday (halloween day); I ended up trick or treating anyway because the kids begged me to go.I had about twenty minutes to get ready! I threw on black, painted my face, made this thing to go under my chin to look like hair growing for the horrid hairy witch I would be and stopped off at the local Family Dollar to purchase the last wig they had ... uh, a red one!And this was the end result below: Please don't be alarmed, no real ghosts or goblins were harmed for this photo! Everything you see is cosmetically enhanced, almost everything, except the Mexican; he's real.
I picked you a pumpkin...I noticed that you had a little Halloween spirit in you, however you don't have a pumpkin out yet.I thought I would pick you up one last night on my way home.No thanks or money needed.Just enjoy. I can not believe it is our second Halloween here. It was fun, people are crazy into Halloween. Again, fog machines, people hiding and scaring people. Wow!!Here are this years costumes: Abby - Dorothy. Leah - Hermione, Evan - Firefighter (he got a lot of attention, as his costume could not have been more timely!!)
We had a very successful Halloween around here. Nobody ended up in the emergency room, so hooray for me and my mad parenting skills! The whole peanut-allergy thing makes candy a very problematic issue in our house, so an entire holiday where the whole end result is sugar-based joy makes me squirrelly.Unlike previous Halloweens, Dr. V. and I did not dress up the whole family in theme costumes. It gets much harder to get the kids to go along with it as they get older, and we ended up going without Daddy anyway because he had a work emergency. I was very pleased with the manners the kids showed all evening, not least when I informed them that Daddy couldn't meet us after all and neither one said, "Stupid sick people, always ruining our holiday fun!" Not that anyone in this family would ever think that...ok, not that anyone in this family would ever admit that...not unless anyone had a fairly anonymous blog to bitch and moan on...er, right. Moving on!For the past few years, I have met up
HAPPY HALLOWEEN, BABIES!!!
It’s November! It’s almost Christmas! Yay! The holidays always give me a certain high. I know, I know, it’s been almost a month since my last blog. I’m a fugitive! But, yep, dear readers, I’m still alive. I was busy almost the whole month of October - busy celebrating Oktoberfest! Hehehe… So okay, I admit, I was the wrong kind of busy! Guilty as charged! But I’m going to get back to being serious next week. I promise.
We did say goodbye to October last night by going clubbing at Jill’s and then attending the Halloween party at Prince of Jaipur, both of which are located at The Fort Strip, which, in turn, is known as one of the premier clubbing scenes here in Manila. There’s nothing like a party to start the month right, right? I’m sure you agree with me!
No, they’re not real costumes, but she’s a sexy chick in fight mode and I’m a (gilded) baby doll!

What a great day! The best costume all day? Our local Christian radio channel dressed up as a Christmas station for the day. Very creative. Although it was a bit odd to listen to Christmas music on Halloween.
As we head to church for the Harvest Carnival, Daniel worries about proper Cape Etiquette.
Has anyone else pulled out Christmas cds yet? Tim and my brother, Thom, usually have a race to see who can start listening to Christmas music the earliest. Our competitive spirit reveals itself in strange ways.
Although the children could have dressed up very convincingly as college students, they chose something else for tonight’s Harvest Carnival.
My friend Jodi surprised us with a bag of William and Mary t-shirts. Five shirts, all different! What a fun reunion gift.
Joshua and David went as Civil War soldiers. Ask Joshua how many years he’s donned some version of this costume for Halloween.
Sarah was beautiful in a Belle costume. Rachel went as a black kitty and D
Tonight Curt and I went down to Point Loma where Curt's dad lives to see all the kids dressed up. We had so much fun and there was so much love and laughter in the air. Everyone was in a great mood and the night flew by so fast. Here are the first group of pictures of Kayla as a bumble bee. She was so freakin cute I really couldn't stand it!Curt's sister who is the proudest momma I've seen in a long time:More of the other kids to come!
So, that surprise. Yeah, I’m still waiting - times two, and soon to be times three! It’s like people have discovered lives outside of the Big Brother House… odd that. (grins)
However, while we’re waiting - everyone who stops by knows that I am a huge Jessica and Eric fan, and like everyone else, I’d be thrilled to see more of them in any way possible. Some of their fans have launched a campaign that aims to get Jeric on the next season of The Amazing Race and have asked for me to let you know where to get more information!
Here’s the announcement Alexis sent my way:
Would you like to see Big Brother 8’s Jessica and Eric compete on The Amazing Race? Join the fan campaign to get them cast on the show! Fans are flooding CBS with letters and woobies to show our support for Team Jeric. To get involved, please visit the fan campaign website at http://loripadillaphotography.typepad.com/teamjeric/ for information, updates, funny promo videos, and
HAPPY HALLOWEEN (actually by the time this gets posted it’ll be a minute or two past October 31)!!! I hope yours was as nice as mine, I did a little more sprucing up around the apartment to set...
We've been Trick-or-Treating in my husband's hometown ever since my oldest nephew, who is now 15 and too cool to dress up, was old enough to be carried from door to door. As you can see the tradition has grown from one little nephew to this crazy crew of monsters. This year we had 14 kids to keep tabs on, no easy feat when the age groups vary enough to send one group way ahead of the others.

Happy Halloween everyone! With that said, I thought I'd take the time to explain about a contest being held by the tattooed Battlestar Galactica pilot. This contest will enter me in to win a copy of Halo 3 Legendary Edition for the XBOX 360!You guys might know Leo for his participation at VCON 32 and his dying love for Red Lobster's "endless shrimp" deal. Regardless, if you're interested in copy of Halo 3, all you have to do is enter his contest with a dedicated post. The contest ends tonight, so let's hope my previous contest luck will pull through again this time around. On a side note, Leo was nice enough to send me a couple tshirts. His condition was that I was to wear these and post up the pictures. Well, don't worry Leo, that post is coming soon (it's been just over 2 months)! ;)
I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! Both kids went trick-or-treating and had a great time.Birth mom called before trick-or-treating and we thought it was to say Happy Halloween to my stepson and see what he was doing. Oh no. It couldn't be for a sweet and motherly reason. She didn't even ask my stepson about Halloween or what he was going to do. She had to tell my husband that my stepson would be spending the weekend with her relatives because she works all weekend and she wanted to find out if my husband could give him some money to spend because her relatives would be taking him to some flea markets and he needed money to buy stuff. What a piece of work. He's going to her relatives and they are taking him somewhere, but we are supposed to pay for stuff. Makes a lot of sense.Maybe if we were able to supervise his spending and make sure the item he bought wasn't used by birth mom or by her other son (who was previously known as her "brother") who lives with her or thrown away in t
Hey everybody it’s been a while, but I’m working on moving my blog to my own domain and it’s been a biotch. For now please enjoy some pics from Sheena’s awesome Halloween party. <3 ginamarr
I just wanted to write a quick post wishing the whole Blogosphere to have a Happy Halloween. I’ve been extremely busy with the development of other sites. I recently registered another Domain and hopefully it will turn out to be a marginally profitable site within the next two or three months. Gotta wait and see.

Yesterday our neighbor’s little girl, who’s probably about in first grade, was locked out of her apartment after school for apparently not the first time. Our other neighbors filed a report and the police came along with child services and took her away. This is not the first time the police have stopped by her house, nor the first time her mother’s been arrested, who by the way didn’t come home until eight thirty at night. Let me also say that her mother is pyschotic. Among many things, she takes up four of the twelve covered parking spots. Four of them. She parks her van right in the middle so nobody can park beside her around her, whatever. And when there are more houses than spaces, I get really frustrated at her selfishness. It’s not like her van doesn’t fit into one parking spot. One thing I can’t stand is inconsideration. Anyway, when I found out that she’s also neglectful of her children I had pretty much decided I was going to eg

Happy Halloween allerseits!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
Please expect a string of Halloween posts in the near future. I can make this promise because last Saturday night I was lucky enough to see The Creature From the Black Lagoon (in 3d). In order to even more so reassure this fact, Matt and Wynston were both there, and I could never ask for better muses of absurdity. Tonight, however, I will celebrate Halloween in my own way by reading Ray Bradbury’s classic short story The Homecoming. It is amazing. I shit you not. This book smells like pumpkins, tastes like taffy, and from the first bite you can feel the razor blade in it. I'll also be listening to The Misfits. I recommend this exercise to anyone out there who feels to old to trick or treat, or just too far away from home for anything to feel right. Halloween isn't like your birthday, it isn't depressing if you don;t do anything on Halloween, but it should be. Halloween is about getting into trouble, about stirring it up and bubbling over, and if there is any bit of little
Well, I don’t have a winning story to announce in the first annual Columbus Homes Blog Scary home buying or selling contest. That’s because no one took the time to send in an entry. I quickly racked my brain after realizing I had no grand prize winner and here’s the best I could come up with on short notice . . .
Every now and then, I will list a bank owned property that has been foreclosed on. The bank emails me an address and wants confirmation as to whether or not the property is vacant and what kind of condition it is in. Sometimes the property is a nice home on a nice block and it generates lots of buyer interest and sometimes it’s not so nice.
This particular property I listed a few years ago. It was a four family in the Olde Oaks area. It had been on the market for a long time with some other Realtor, was vacant, needed boarding up and was beginning to show its age. All in all, it was a really attractive brick four unit with a center hall and full basement.
Has it really been a year since last Halloween when we were holding our famous costume contest? Here is a review of our top three:Are you feeling inspired? Thinking about dressing as Veronica Webb for Halloween? How about Heidi Klum? Jay McCarroll? We'd love to see photos!More Halloween ideas from Nick Verreos are on the TVGuide Channel's Fashion Team Program. You can watch the entire episode on Nick's blog. It is really great. Happy Halloween! The kids are over excited. Gavin is a zombie soldier and Avlyn a witch. At least there is school today so it takes up most of the day. I hate when Halloween is on a weekend and they bug you all day about when it's going to get dark as if you control the sun. In the spirit of Halloween I thought I would post the definition of my name from the sexual dictionary. Honestly, I didn't think my name would be so sexually violent. rhyah --[noun]:A new position involving a machete'How will you be defined in the Sexual Dictionary?' at QuizUniverse.com

I've searched through ALL my photos from my many Halloween's on Maui, and would you believe this is the scariest one I could locate to contribute to Captain Lifecruiser's Cyber Halloween party?! Since our family never attends horror movies or watch frightening thrillers on tv, rarely do I focus my camera on the scary, macabre, and/or horrific. My partner and I are both like this. We avert our eyes in movies with unexpected bloodshed or violence--we're a lightweight family! That's how we roll! However, if scary things are your cup of tea, check out the delightfully ghoulish party at Lifecruisers!
Wow, finally Hump Day ANNNNND Halloween. One of my favorite holidays. Last Saturday I went to a Halloween party...dressed up...so I'm done for the year. I'm going to forgo the NYC Halloween parade and its mass of slutty nurses, sexy male nurses, cast members from the movie '300', and your Larry Craigs....and just go home and watch a scary movie. Jealous much? I thought so.Don't forget, while this may be Halloween, one of the most important days of the year happens tomorrow.....that's right; November 1st...the day all Halloween candy goes on sale at your local drug stores and grocery stores. So make sure you stock up now...I'm gonna make sure I swing by every Rite Aid and Duane Read on my way home from work. Hell, I may even use my lunch break to buy some. What? Don't judge.I have no idea who the hunk of the week is.....got him off some blog about hot dudes....so I'll just make up his info:His name is Daren and loves mac and cheese. He tells people he likes 'the blue box'...b
Enjoy your haunting and trick-or-treating!
While the ghosts and goblins are knocking at my door, I'll be at my photography class. Learning how to improve upon my images, such as the one above. And hoping to replace my camera, so I can take a workshop.
In the true spirit of Halloween, Kara and I rented Halloween Pt. 1 this past weekend as well as The Ring and carved our pumpkins. Pumpkin seeds are good. I’m a sucker for scary movies, even though they end up making me think any bump in the night is somebody with a chainsaw wearing a hockey mask. Now it’s time to read up on on your favorite Halloween scary movies…

在西方国家,每年的10月31日,有个“Halloween”,辞典解释为“The eve of All Saints'Day”,中文译作:“万圣节之夜”。
Working from home today, good thing too because going to work was a pain, literally, with my sprained ankle yesterday. So no costume for me or the dogs. Oh well. The dogs prefer not to be dressed up anyway. In Las Vegas at flyball and agility they had costume contests. They were fun and every year I want to get costumes for my dogs, and then I never do. Not enough time, not enough energy.
Oh well. Maybe someday. I should get some Harry Potter costume for the dogs. But since I can’t sew, making them myself would be way too much work!

It's Halloween, so that means we'll be hearing "Thriller", "Freaks Come Out At Night", and "Somebody's Watching Me" at least once today. But because I love (black) Michael Jackson, here's "Thriller" to get you in the Halloween spirit:Have a great day yall!
Well it's Halloween, and that means trick or treating with the child! Which means - you guessed it - CANDY! But I'm going to do my best to follow my own rules on my other blog and avoid the candy at all costs ;)My son dressed up for school this morning, and shortly I'll be on my way to help out with the party. oooh fun! 15 FOUR year olds in one small class dressed up, and making crafts. Can someone say 9-1-1?? Because I am so going to need to be taken out of a stretcher after it is all said and done. My son dressed up as a duck :) For everyone who has read my blog for a long period of time already knows that his favorite stuffed animal is his duckie - and he was so proud that he looked just like him. I'll download some pictures after trick or treating tonight - he really does look so cute!!Oh and if anyone ran out to Walgreen's to get their 3-D glasses to watch Live with Regis and Kelly here is a tip for you:Don't bother putting them on - it sucks. TV is just not made for 3-D.Eve
To all the ghosts and goblins out there I wish you a very safe and happy halloween. May your bags be full of safe candy and the roads be clear of cars. This is one of my favorite holidays and wish I was young enough (or foolish enough) to wear a costume to work and celebrate (but alas, I am chicken).
Some safety tips for tonights festivities:
Forbid your kids from eating any candy before you examine it
Never eat anything “prepared” like Candy Apples or cookies (even if it is your neighbor)
Always go in groups, never solo trick-o-treat.
Make sure the kiddies costumes reflect light. If they don’t, get reflective tape and put it on their legs, shoes or back.
Trick-o-treat early, even if you are older
Always be mindful of your surroundings, never approach cars asking for help
Have a flashlight, whistle and lightsticks with you at all times.
Above all, stay in an area you know. Never trick-o-treat in an area you have never been in.

IN THE NEWS: According to World Magazine, "To draw new students, the University of California, Riverside, says it will try out a petting zoo at a Nov. 3 recruitment fair for local high-school students. But the university plans to have only one animal available for petting: cockroaches. University officials say the fair is geared to future science teachers and engineers who may not be completely grossed out by the idea of petting roaches. Even so, school representatives plan to have plenty of rubber gloves at the ready." Well, I'm back from my little getaway! Open? But stay out! If you were a family of four with two young children, would you eat here?
I'd like to see their cash inflow on the days before and the days after putting this sign up. This sign, to me, says "Go away. We don't want your business."
Imagine all the other things they could have done...
"Kids under 12 in costume eat free!" That might have attracted some new business.
OR--what if the "treat" at Young's was a 10% off coupon? Then whole families might have come back at a later date.
Or--what if the treat were a Chinese pastry of some sort? Maybe a mooncake? That would have introduced people to new types of Chinese food. (The Chinese--not really known for their sweets, right?)
OR--what if the staff dressed up in Halloween Costumes? That might have attracted lots of people, just to eat there and oogle the waitstaff. OR what if You
All of us here at Candy Addict want to wish you a very happy Halloween! Some people have Christmas, some may love Valentine’s Day, but for us, it’s Halloween all the way. What could be better for a Candy Addict than a day dedicated to free candy? Well, maybe one dedicated to free candy for everyone. I mean, why should only small people get to partake of the free joyfulness? I say Halloween should be made equal! Free candy for the world!
While you’re taking a break from making your placards and creating petitions for our new Equal Halloween movement, why don’t you check out a few of our previous Halloween articles - maybe they’ll give you some inspiration! Or at least a fun read.

I was lying on my couch the last night and could not sleep well .. don't know why. I was alone in my house. Suddenly with the clock stucking 2:00 am, the silence broke with a rustle in my bathroom. It sounded like the bubbling cauldron. I looked up at the closed door but couldn't walk down to check out if anybody's there. I called out, "Who's there?" almost in my chocking voice. Of course, nobody answered…but the sound went off.Can you imagine the situation if this would happen in reality? But it can really happen to anybody this evening. Today's Halloween. I'm going to rent a couple of scarry movies and enjoy the real thrill of horror with my friends. What about you? If you are a fan of halloweem movies like me, then I would suggest you to watch "Exorcist", "The Others", "Evil Dead", "Frankenweenie" and not forgetting John Carpenter's "Halloween"Just put off your lights and hold on your friends tight, put on the DVD and I'm sure you'll have a perfect Halloween shiver.Let me

For some mysterious reason, my street gets no Halloween traffic. In the four years we have lived there, we have given out a total of maybe one handful of fun size Snickers. For this reason, I find it a shame that my pumpkin creations shine their lights for no one. This year, I would like to give them their turn in the spotlight. Indulge them please...
We test drove our costumes today at Adam's work Halloween party. Everyone was supposed to have their kids come in dressed up to go trick or treating at all the offices at his firm. They didn't expect me to come dressed up too. I got a lot of wide-eyed stares with my huge hat and weird costume.Penny is Charlie Chaplin this year. We taught her to say "hau hau hau" like a snooty frenchie and she tips her hat. I've spent the past few weeks showing her Chaplin videos so she really has a feel for what she's doing. The funny walk, the silly smile, she's got it. I made her costume from head to toe except for the felt bowling hat. She also has a cane that goes with the costume except I hid it from her last week because she kept swinging it up in the air and now I can't remember where I hid it.Charlotte and I are King Kong and the Chrysler Building. Before you purists get all up in arms, I know Kong climbed the Empire State building, not the Chrysler, but the Chrysler was so much

I feel like it should be Christmas already, sort of screwed for waiting aren’t I? Due to this marvelous holiday of darkness and pumpkins I have gotten rid of the “Pink For October” theme and uploaded the Halloween theme! Any k2 users are welcome to download it from here. Just add it to k2 styles, enable it and off you go, all it does is change your links to orange! Have a Happy Halloween!

It's October 31 - and that means it's trick or treat time. This afternoon I'll be escorting Ella and Zac around the neighbourhood as they go trick or treating in search of candy.Ella will dressed in her traditional Halloween costume of a pink fairy. A very cute pink fairy. And Zac will be dressed as a baby boy. A very cute baby boy. And me, I'll be dressed as a game developer (jeans, t-shirt and sneakers). Did I mention that I was throwing a mini-Halloween party for a bunch of toddlers? It happened yesterday and went incredibly well. I was expecting 7 children and ended up with 11, and all of them were dressed up in cute little costumes! I was disappointed that my camera battery died just before everyone started arriving, but here are some photos of the decorations, and of course, my gorgeous Elliot dressed (again) as a pumpkin.
