The unit of `Happy Days` has once again expressed their happiness at the stupendous success of the film. Addressing the media at the Prasad Labs, Hyderabad, Dil Raju (distributor of the film) said that the movie has turned out to be the sensational hit of 2007.Dil Raju said: "Sekhar Kammula is a trendsetter. In view of the heavy demand for the movie among the audiences, we are going to increase the number prints. At present there are 90 prints running. Another 40 or 50 would be added. Tollywood producer Dil Raju, with a Midas touch, announced a film, which will have Varun Sandesh of Happy Days fame in the lead. The film will be directed by Srikanth, a new comer to the helmers tribe. He is said to have told this storyline to the producer during the filming of Arya. This director, who is making his debut, had been assisting the directorial departments of successful films like Tagore, Arya and Bommarillu. Prakash Raj plays the role of the father of the hero. A reputed yesteryear heroine has a very pivotal role as mother. A new face will play the heroine. The other members of the cast and crew are in the process of being finalised. There appears to be only one formula to get big openings for small films. It is sure that big films need not have very big pre-release publicity. If they do, that adds a little extent for the openings. But small films definitely need publicity. Many small directors and producers assume that the audiences would gush into theaters if they arrange for 4 press meets and 40 posters before the release. Today, even distributors are not coming forward for such hype. The only thing that pumps in life for the collections of any film is ‘good mouth publicity’. That is possible only when the film comes out well. Small directors and producers have no other way other than making films in very interesting way. Right story, right screenplay and right interesting element are the core points for success. All this makes a film get good collections.

As the movie is tasting an unprecedented success for a low budget movie, according to reliable sources, MAA TV bought the Satellite Rights of Happy Days for an astounding Rs. 1.15 Crores. It is for sure that even MAA TV would make a lot of profit out of it...The Tamil rights have been sold to Prakash Raj. Earlier Dil Raju bought A.P. Rights of Happy Days for about Rs. 6 Crores. So, all in all it seems Sekhar Kammula has made a table profit of at least Rs. 6 crores in INDIA alone. For a movie which released with just 50 prints in A.P., these figures are simply superb. First half of the film is neat though some of us might feel that Sekhar Kammula kind of emotional scenes are not there. But in the second half of the film, he added good emotional episodes and made sure that you get connected with the film. The plus points of the film are direction, fresh cast, music, cinematography and editing. On the flip side, the pace of the film slackens at times. Happy Days film was released on 28 of September with 7 prints all over USA and opened with excellent response. By looking at the positive feedback, distributed is adding 6 more prints for the second week. These prints are being shipped now. The unit of Happy Days will be visiting all the theaters playing in Hyderabad on 2nd October.
‘Happy Days’ is going to be dubbed into Tamil shortly as per the grapevine. Prakash Raj bagged the rights of the film to release it in Tamilnadu. The fresh talk also says that the producers from Bollywood are coming forward to buy the remake rights of the film. For the amount of natural appeal in subject with lively college story, it is appearing to be universal.
The film is appealing for all USA audience in bigger way and the soft humor in the film is tickling the present day student community on a whole.
Right now the talks are going on with two different producers from Bollywood as per the grapevine from industry sources. There are no official announcements on this yet.
The film is set to release tomorrow in AP.

Tollywood director Sekhar Kammula picked all new cast for his upcoming film “Happy Days” that is slated to release on september 14th. Barring Tamanna, the film has all new cast and is a youth film. The film is set in college backdrop and as per Telugu Cinemass reports, the film might be well received. Every one can identify themselves with one or the character in the film. Sekhar’s films have already got a grip on the A centers and overseas.
Meanwhile, some of the new faces already are on roll in the industry by bagging offers. Rahul, who played Tyson in this film, got chance in Sukumar’s next film. Allu Aravind might present this film. It was a good day today winning 5% with two bets at Ripon. I had to sit and be patient until 4.35 though as the earlier races made absolutely zero appeal and I just couldn't find any edge. Apache Nation was my first lay and at 3.55 is was in my opinion, far too short for a competitive handicap. It was off a very high mark and he's been kept busy of late and he was extremely poor value. My next lay was Just Lille and she's been in fine form winning four on the bounce but I thought this race on soft ground was a step too far. I luckily layed her at an avg of 3.95 before a total monster of a drift to over 8.4 on BF. I decided to reduce my liability before the off as she was just getting too big to ignore. It only cost me 1% profit and although it didn't matter in the end, I'm glad I did.I posted on the BF forum that I thought Blackmail was a good lay but I wouldn't be laying it as I had finished for the day. Whatever is wrong with the AC must be pretty major, he’s been in the attic the whole time. The whirly deal outside is what we thought was broken but maybe not. I spoke to both of the guys yesterday and they are just thrilled. They're really, really happy. Each of them thanked me about a dozen times. I felt funny saying "You're welcome!" in a situation like this so I just thanked them in return for letting me be a part in this. They both kept asking if there was anything they could do or if there was anything I needed. I told them that unless they could give me a few extra hours of sleep at night there really wasn't much I thought I needed. Anyway, we're all very happy and excited and it's good to be official.My meds change a little bit now.
