Everyone wishes Sweet Dreams to their loved ones before they go to sleep. But we can't assure a really sweet dream !! There is a say or superstition in India that when a person dreams of his friendly gene or close relative getting married, the result would be bitter. They say it would lead a person of his/her relative to death in a mean time.My mom had a dream last Saturday. She dream't that her b

So we had a really good morning Saturday morning with a lot of people coming in for breakfast. It makes it really exciting when there is a lot of people because of our limited cooking abilities but we did really well this AM and everyone seemed happy. This week has been kind of an interesting week. We have started working on a new business plan and I have to say it is a challenge because of all t

Phuket Bike Week 2008 was kick started last night with an exhibition of gleaming custom choppers and other iron steeds, both old and new, showing their muscle in seven zones at Jungceylon shopping center. Yamaha, Suzuki and BMW have taken some of the stands to show off their latest superbikes, tourbikes and even jet skis until 11 pm tonight.I wandered a little bit around the exhibition zone and was frankly not too impressed as it seemed basically deserted when I came; but the real action will be anyway out in Soi Bangla tomorrow and there are already lots of big bikes and bikers around -- I guess it will be more busy than last year's event.More from the Phuket Gazette:Organizers expect more than 1,000 bikers from around the world to have ridden into Phuket for the four-day event, with ride

A guy says he's unhappy where lives. Seems there are bars all around. He's waiting to be paroled next week.Another guy I know said he ran 5 miles. Unfortunately the police are trained to run 6.TRUE STORY: Many years ago I got sick during the evening and had to run to the bathroom to upchuck.. There I am moaning and groaning and heaving like mad, when my wife runs into the bathroom to see if I am okay. She watches me a few seconds and then says, "The problem with you is that you don't know how to vomit."What would be your response to such a remark? I can't repeat what I said to my wife at that moment.

New Years Eve is a very big event in Las Vegas!! Especially for the hotels along the Las Vegas strip. It is one of the most expensive times to visit and most crowded. Evangelical United Methodists are sometimes seen as malcontents when it comes to complaining about the denomination. It is not uncommon to hear: “United Methodism is far too liberal”; “United Methodism has lost its way”; “United Methodism is apostate.”
These remarks should be seen as within the family. When it comes to outsiders, we don’t like to see our denomination under attack.
So the UM evangelical reaction to this characterization of the United Methodist Church in Joel Belz’s editorial in the November 11 issue of World magazine:
It would be hard to find two denominations that more vividly characterize the anti-evangelical spirit that became repulsive to such hard-core evangelicals than the United Church of Christ (Barack Obama’s denomination) and the United Methodist Church (John Edw
We drove by our house under construction in Inspirada this morning. It's come a long way in a week. They've put the cement/stucco exterior up. In fact, it was put up so recently it was still wet. Here's a picture. Also, the other day British grocer Tesco opened the first of several Las Vegas Valley locations of Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market right down the street from our house. Of course, we had to check it out. They had a great selection of organic meats and vegetables and it wasn't over-priced. We were quite impressed as a lot of it was priced lower than the big grocery stores like Smith's and Albertson's. Based on our experience, we'll definitely be shopping there often.Last night was also went to the newly opened Town Square Las Vegas. Although not all the stores are open it was a great shopping venue. It's unlike any other in town as it resembles a little city with narrow streets lined with restaurants and shops. It even has a children's play park in the middle. It
More changes on the strip. The biggest and loudest change was the implosion of the New Frontier Hotel and Casino. The demolition of the Frontier removes one of the last inexpensive hotels on the strip. The owners of the high end Plaza Hotel in New York city are planning to build a Las Vegas style resort on the property. Another very large hotel with over 3,000 rooms is currently on the drawing board. The Wayne Newton Christmas show at Harrah's has been canceled. It was reported to be for health reasons. I attended the show last year. The show was very good, but Wayne's voice was not in good condition! The very highly regarded seafood buffet at the Rio has been closed. It is expected to be closed until March of 2008 for remodeling. The seafood theme is planned on being retained when it reopens.A couple changes in the world of slot clubs. Tonight saw the launch of Tim Prevett's ghostly tours around Crewe town centre. All 20 places for tonight's spooky walk were snapped up last week, and other slots are almost full. In fact, a second event has been created for Wednesday night - Halloween! It's a great idea, something that celebrates Crewe and its history. Local people will be fascinated, while outsiders with an interest in such ghostly goings on will be drawn to the town. That and the fact that Tim is really passionate about the subject can only be a boost for the borough as there is a chance that further tours will be arranged in surrounding towns. The Municipal Square makes a stunning backdrop for the start of the tour, with the Market Hall, Three Lamps pub and then the Lyceum Theatre all featuring as it progresses. Check out Tim's site for full details and current availability...Information:Telephone: 07952-984229Website: click here

Marketing was one of the first things on my agenda when I came aboard. Marketing was only second to straightening out the bank register. We needed new customers. I began reading everything I could get my hands on about marketing, advertising and sales. Direct mail continually came up as a good beginning to our marketing plan. All I had to do was design some post cards, figure out how to say what I wanted to say, my list of companies I wanted to mail to, and slap some stamps on them. The post card designs were fairly easy, not to mention a little fun. I decided to do two styles for two different industries we deal with. The first industry I targeted was a big money earning industry. The second is what I consider our bread and butter customers. I played with words and phrases for about a week until I was satisfied with what I was saying and sent each of the designs to the printer. In order to understand how well direct mail would do for us, I selected 100 companies in each of our targ

Happy Saturday; I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! First I would like to say that I’m sorry there isn’t a lot of new content lately and that when there is, it isn’t the best quality. My computer is still in the shop and the guy hasn’t even began to fix it yet, so I’m holding out and doing my best here with just a few minutes a day, if even. Now would be the perfect time for some guest writers to step in! You get free exposure and backlinks with your content published on another site, so you can reach new potential readers. Why not write for this blog? It’s a win-win situation!
Next I’d like to speak about the month of free advertising contest. Today is supposed to be the deadline for that, but apparently I’m in no position to sit for hours and count up credits, trackbacks, and come up with a winner. So for now, you’re still allowed to enter (even for perhaps another week or longer, depending). I’m sorry if this
I wrote a little bit Friday. Not much, mind you, but enough to keep the story alive in my mind. Unfortunately, I discovered I had goofed a bit and had to delete a couple hundred words. Luckily, I made those back up and ended up almost with same number of words I had when I first started. Weird.
That night my oldest went to spend the night at a friend's house, leaving me and the little guy at
So many exciting things have been happening in the past few days! Over the weekend I was one of twelve students from across the state of Florida to receive the 2007 Hospitality Excellence award. Along with the award I had friends from home and from Lynn in town for a few days. Also, I was able to get a backstage look at how Playhouse Disney Live on Stage! Works. I got to see how the stage works, how Disney’s most expensive costume on property operates, and many other production aspects that goes into the show. Yesterday, the happy haunts returned to the haunted mansion as it reopened on lucky number 13. This newly renovated attraction features new scenes, updated techniques, and amazing audio enhancements. This past week has been filled with plenty of exciting adventures, these are only some of the many things that have happened in the last few days, and with exciting events such as Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party ahead, I’m sure there’s plenty more to come!
A lot is happening these days. I try to slow down, but there is too much awesome stuff. For a small recap.
Last week was Leslie’s birthday. So we celebrated for the week - we usually celebrate long periods of time [that’s what she said]. Anyway, check out her latest post to see what all we did last week and ask her why the american idol came up to say happy birthday.

Elk Grove, CA home owners have been battling over 2 years now, for a Big Box Ordinance. The Elk Grove City Council last week finally adopted a Big Box Ordinance for Elk Grove.
This debate started two years ago when Walmart proposed a Big Box store within a neighborhood. Local home owners as well as other residents came together and demanded that a Big Box store was not appropriate for the neighborhood.
Big Box stores will be appropriately located outside the perimeter of a neighborhood and homeowners are reassured that their property values and neighborhood way of life will not be hampered by Big Box Stores entering their neighborhood. All is well now, with the Big Box Ordinance. Thank you, Elk Grove City Council.

Remember the busy month of June post I did? Well, the list is only half of what's happening. We are busssssyyy! I don't think we've had any "quite" weekend since Tatay and Nanay arrived. I told them to get used to it - it won't slow down as much :)Last weekend we had some family friends come over to celebrate Father's Day. This coming Saturday we are having an aloha party for our very good friends and neighbors who are moving to the mainland. We volunteered our house for the "goodbye and goodluck" party..there will probably be 100 people coming. OK, maybe 75....So, some of you might be waiting to hear how my parents are adjusting. I think they are adjusting well. Tatay may be a little "homesick" but I think he's happy to be here with G and N and he's happy to see Nanay happy. You see, my mom has the tendency to have psychosomatic symptoms and sickness when she's depressed, lonely and problematic...but my dad told me that she hasn't complained about anything since t
Well it’s all been happening lately…
Firstly, on Saturday, I had an orgasm standing up on the local runway. Yes you read that right. Tony took me on base with hopes of getting me a closer look at the hornets. Got a close look alright. Just as we were signing in, two of them landed with another two on their way in….we made it to the end of the runway and got out of the car just in time for them to land. I had to change my undies. And not because I shit myself……it was awesome. It was mind boggling. It was everything I thought it would be and more. My god those things have got balls! And they aren’t the biggest ones either….best not think about that, need blood to stay in brain and not migrate elsewhere…..I’m not sure what it is about them I love so much. The noise, the sheer power, or maybe just the fact that for a species that can’t fly, we sure have turned it into an artform haven’t we?
Secondly Zoe had a sligh

If you haven’t noticed or known already, there’s quite a few changes going on at my house. For those who know me well, and those who don’t here’s a brief update/insight into Ariah’s Life and Blog these days.
In less then one month our little household community will begin to disband. It’s been an exciting year, and a life changing one. I’ve spent the last ten months in a house hold with 8 other people, two of them young children. It’s been an incredible time and I think it has shaped and changed each of our futures in dramatic ways. I’m sorry I haven’t blogged more about the experience, I think it’s a hard task to write on when your in the midst of it. I think I might interview all our housemates on how this experience has effected and changed them and post those as podcasts…
And the big change for me is coming any day with the birth of our first baby. I’ve had the last week off or work to clean and prepare
In honor of my recent 13th wedding Anniversary.

In the first year of our marriage we moved in with my parents and had our first child. I became a SAHM and we went from having 2 incomes to one.
In the second year of our marriage we squirreled away every dime to buy a house and looked at houses all over Central NJ while we waited.
In the third year of our marriage we bought a townhouse and my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
In the fourth year of our marriage (during one month) we lost my mother and suffered a miscarriage.
In the fifth year of our marriage after months of tests and surgeries I was eventually diagnosed with endometriosis.
In the sixth year of our marriage we had our second child, and almost lost her to a placental abruption.
In the seventh year of our marriage my hubby dealt with a period of unemployment and we moved back in with my father, 2 kids in tow. I rejoined the workforce on a part
I had my first taste of fish at Manhattan Fish Market and I've ate something that even I don't have an idea about - Alaskan Pollock Fish & Chips. I've decided to give it a try and I think I might be able to figure out what is it but after I see what is it, I am stunned since it was like common, well, fish meat. I googled it and found some details about the Pollock fish. Check it out.Alaskan Pollock Fish I've broke my promise (Sorry...) about posting my travelling pictures from Penang to my college here since that day, Sunday, the stations and streets are full of people and with the fear of getting snatched or picked, I failed to take any photos but I think it will not be long for any photos I took myself to appear. Just wait and keep track of my blog...An update of football. My favourite team, Manchester United had won the Premiership title earlier as Arsenal held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw! I hereby announce we are the Champions of England again! Manchester United fans, get some of the
I forgot that today was April 1st. How I could forget is beyond me.Most of my friends know that I have a pretty twisted sense of humor andfind most anything funny.Being that I hadn't made a singleattempt at making the most of this day of fools, I guess my mind justskipped it. Mentally I went from March 31st to April 2nd without even batting an eye.The mischievous midget had other plans.Ali got a call this morning at about 9:30. I was expecting it to be his morning wake-up call for soccer. Alas, it was not.Hebecame quite serious and began speaking in tones too low for his motherto hear. He knew that I couldn't really understand what he was sayingso he didn't even bother to leave the room. He forgot that he doesn'texactly have a poker face though. The second he hung up the phone I asked him what was wrong. Apparently Yacine and Saleh had gotten into a huge fight early this morning. About what, we didn't know. The long and short of it was that Yacine stormed out of the house with most
Hi folks.
Yesterday NetZen and Dolphin posted on the NetProfitsGroup Forum about a forum post made by Butch, the admin over at the ASA forum in regards to XLO.
I know Bob has his hands full right now with all the other issues going on. In order to stay competitive he is making MANY changes right now [...]
After upgrading WordPress to version 2.0.6 I noticed a database error occurring in my feed. It looked something like this:
WordPress database error: [Duplicate entry ‘474′ for key 1]
INSERT INTO `wp_tla_rss_map` SET post_id = ‘470′, advertisement = ‘’
Now, wp_tla_rss_map looks to be part of Text Link Ads’ WordPress plugin. While I do have some slight understanding of PHP and WordPress programming I have no idea what’s going on here.
I should stress that I don’t think this is the fault of the Text Link Ads program. Recently I came across a post on digg that suggested there were some rss related issues with WordPress’ 2.0.6 security upgrade.
That said, I have disabled the Feedvertising portion of my Text Link Ads account until I can figure out what’s going on. As it stands none of the advertiser links are being shown properly, once I can confirm they’re back up and running I’ll re-activate it.
I wasn’t sure when to come back and start up the Rudicus Report, but I figured after I won Time Magazine’s Person of The Year Award, I couldn’t disappoint my fans.
That cop-out, ole award is the perfect capper on a year of what we in the industry call crap.
Saddam Hussein the evil tyrant who terrorized millions and was personally responsible for the 9/11 attacks (wait, that wasn’t him), but he did attack the U.S. through sponsorship of Osama Bin Laden (wait, not him again either)..well he DID try to get plutonium for nuclear weapons production and had a warehouse full of WMD’s (not him again?). Well regardless, he has paid for his crimes.
As with everything else, this also provided a fitting nightcap on the year. This year which we will see as the year of exporting democracy, proved to be very enlightening.
I find it particularly interesting that the exported democracy is not very democratic at all. We exported democracy so we could bypass US laws and tort
Hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend, and is ready to get back to some serious TV watching. Because, ’tis the season to be a lazy, fattening bum watching sports of various genres. Yay! No baseball!
Is it just me, or is Tennessee basketball actually pretty exciting to watch? Team’s down by 10? It’s because they’re eating lunch. Down by 15? Got them right where they want them.
Dane Bradshaw, the basketball-playing torso has at least 5 balls. That guy, is all balls.
Well, as far as Chris Lofton is concerned, if there was ever a need for a last second heave ho of the ball, he could just shoot it like normal. That LeBron James commercial? Lofton can do it for real.
Shot taken from Knoxville, when playing in Nashville… Chris made the shot.
The Tit(an)s are the same way. I think they sometimes get down in score on purpose.
VY is a ballah~! That kid, with the weird ass sidearm throw, can throw a ball that doesn’t even arc.Â
I have a friend who has some pretty interesting things happening to him lately; here are a couple of his recent stories. Now before you read them, keep in mind that this is a pretty serious, concrete kind of guy - usually. These past few months, however, he's been experiencing some out-of-the-ordinary phenomena. The first incident occurred late one night last week. I had just gone to bed and was sort of half- asleep when I had the sensation of an earthquake. Our bedrooms are on the second floor and during the last big one in Feb of 2001. I was upstairs and felt the whole house sort of sway. This sort of felt like that for a brief second, enough to startle me. I sat upright in bed and then the quake-like sensation stopped and I felt a very strong energy or presence coming down the hallway towards my bedroom. As it approached the open door I got really scared as this force was palpable; I could hear and feel it. The energy literally passed by me as I sat in bed and then dissipated and
A few changes are coming to the Las Vegas strip. First the biggest change, the implosion of the Stardust Hotel will happen in early March. Another of the old time casinos is biting the dust! Of course to be replaced in a few years with a new Boyd's hotel and casino. I have been unable to find the exact date of the implosion. Early March is what I hear. They usually do this late at night to keep the crowds minimal. Another hotel change is not as drastic, not yet anyway. Harrah's has taken ownership of the Barbary Coast and renamed it "Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon". People are waiting to see if the hotel rates will go up. And if the gambling will be more favorable to the house. Will have to see how long this lasts. There have been rumors Harrah's will rebuild from the Imperial Palace down to the new Bill's Gamblin' Hall. At the Wynn, the show "Le Reve" will be closing for around a month in March. The theater is being remodeled. And a new show "Spamalo
The Snow Forts Clock has completely broken down! The time is constantly changing and it displays really random messages. The Cuckoo Clock in the Lodge has also gone out of control. The Cuckoo clock comes out every second now. It looks like this is the Polar Bear's doing.
Rockhopper is ...
