Those of you who followed the TV series, Hamish Macbeth which starred Robert Carlyle as a policeman in a remote but beautiful Scottish coastal village, may not know that it was mainly filmed on location in Plockton, Ross-shire just a few miles north of Kyle of Lochalsh and the famous Skye Bridge. Vail CO Wedding Photography - Sabrina and Hamish
Sabrina and Hamish picked the most beautiful day I’ve ever seen, got married on the Vail wedding deck in a kaleidoscopic ceremony complete with butterflies, and then turned the party knob waaaaaay past full blast for about 6 hours straight. Not sure if epic reception was thanks to the pomegranate margaritas, the inflatable swords, or [...]

Hamish McRae: When you look at China all you see is growth, but a bumpy road lies ahead
From The IndependentThe annual Davos symposium – that extravagant annual meeting of business leaders, politicians and academics in the Swiss resort – has a younger sibling. It starts today in the Chinese port city of Dalian. But, rather than collect together the heads of the world's largest companies, it seeks to bring together those from the fastest-growing.Such a meeting could, in theory, take place anywhere but it is happening in the world's fastest-growing country, China, and in what I am told is China's fastest-growing city. Dalian is a pretty place, a commercial centre but also a seaside resort and, if having this new "summer Davos" happen here does nothing else, it will at least open the eyes of the visitors to China's astounding growth story. That story – growth running at more than 11 per cent, the economy about to pass Germany in size – has been told so often that it is now widely appreciated. But what I, at least, had not appreciated until the past few days is the

      In defense of Hamish Jones
Our very own Hamish Jones has come under a remarkable attack for calling a Labor member Ms Kosky a "fuckwit and a bitch". He was to stand against Bill Shorten in the safe labor seat of Maribyrnong. Hamish had no chance of winning if truth be told. He showed stunning guts to take on Labors high profile candidate in a safe seat. Hamish is a passionate person. He often uses his blog (which he has since taken down for the time being) to "vent" on. Even though one may take offence at some of the language he uses, what can not be denied is his loyalty to the party. I mean really, they have such fucktards as Russel Broadbent in their employ who seem not to know the meaning of the word loyalty. Broadbent is a small "L" Liberal (read a person who belongs in the ALP but hasn't got the guts to join knowing he would be laughed out of town), who should never have even won pre selection and only won the seat because his area is predominately conservative and his losing it in the first pl

Hamish - the guy who doesn’t have a single pair of trousers
On Friday night I was invited with my business partner Richard to see one of our friends, which we haven’t seen before - Mr. Hamish Bicknell. Hamish is a well know person in the kilt community, he hasn’t wear trousers for over 8 years now. We have had a very pleasant chat and of course I had to take the opportunity and took few pictures. Here is one of them. I would like to thank Hamish for his hospitality and the opportunity to meet such a great person as he is. Thank you.

Free Daily Tips are now situated at the bottom of my BlogMany people out there are confused by betting on horses and betting on greyhounds. They are confused about how the odds are calculated for a horse or greyhound, and they don't know how to pick a winner. In this article I will show you how a payout is calculated and I will also give you some pointers on how to make money betting on horses and betting on greyhounds. As a way of explaining how odds are calculated, let's assume that $10000 is bet to win on all horses or greyhounds in a particular race. The particular betting shop will take a certain percentage of the top to keep themselves in business. The percentage taken off the top varies between organisations. Lets assume that in this example it is 10% or $1000. That means there is $9
