Most summer grilling is done for large groups and as such is not too fancy - burgers, hot dogs, steaks, and the occassional kabob. He can swim a mile, bike thirty, and still have the energy to cook up a batch of h

When I was a child my Mother had about 10 foods she would regularly make and that is pretty much what we grew up eating. Let's see... Taco Salad, Pork Chops and Mushroom Soup Sauce, Steaks, Roast and Potatoes, Chicken and canned Biscuits... But some of my favorite foods actually came from; SCHOOL! Yes, it's true I was blessed! I went to a Catholic school with an older woman who had been cook there since Jesus walked the Earth and boy could she cook! This was in the early 80's when the government didn't have a tight fist over what could/should be served in the schools and I am ever so thankful because we had school lunches that were known for miles around. All the other kids in other schools were jealous. One of my favorite comfort foods that they would make about once a month (and

When I was a kid I lived in New Orleans for several years and one of our next door neighbors, Mrs. Pettibone, used to make this soup all the time. Around lunchtime, she'd walk out into the backyard where we were playing, clang her soup ladle against the lid of a pot and cry, "Children! Come and get some hamburger soup now! Y'hear what I say?" Delicious memories! The recipe is very basic and lends itself to adding your own eccentric touches. Heh heh....Ingredients:
Breakfast on the weekend is the only meal that often troubles me living in Japan. Being used to `Bacon and Eggs` or various other typical western breakfasts in Australia i often struggle to satisfy my hunger on my days off.
What are my options considering there`s not a great deal open, in and around my area, before 11am? The locals will eat everything from Ramen to Sushi and I`ve tried both, Ramen can be a little heavy and send you back home for another hours kip and Sushi just isn`t right for me anything before lunchtime and without beer in hand … the Wasabi is too aggresive on the palet first up.
So when i`ve come around the corner at Yoyogi station and seen `Zats Cafe` advertising they do a `Sasebo Burger` all my troubles were over. They open at 11am, i can hold off for breakfast until then no problems, and believe me when i say it`s well worth waiting for.
We`ve all seen the beautiful marketing from the likes of McDonalds and other fast food chains and then
This is one of those joyous books that I never want to grow out of.The simple pleasure of reading about a young boy’s friendship with an old man who no-one wants to see any more.Mr Borthwick’s hamburger shop is going out of business, thanks to a smart new Krustyburger, sorry, Hamburger House chain that’s opened up in town. Against impossible odds, Joe and Mr Borthwick must somehow turn public opinion around and make their ancient old-fashioned burgers popular again.Along the way they meet a whole chain of people who each help in their own little way, including a chef called the Great Casarolli.I could go on, but if that hasn’t piqued your interest, then it's probably not your sort of book. The Perfect Hamburger delivers exactly what it promises.
There is a lot of slang out there about hamburgers and from time to time we will update this list. If you come across any hamburger related slang let us know. Following is a listing of hamburger and related slang (barring the obvious):$100 Hamburger: Aviation slang for a private general aviation flight for the sole purpose of dining at a non-local airport. Most often used by pilots who are looking for any excuse to fly, a $100 hamburger trip usually involves flying a short distance (less than two hours), eating at an airport restaurant, and flying home. "$100" originally referred to the approximate cost of renting or operating a light general aviation aircraft, such as a Cessna 172, for the time it took to fly round-trip to a nearby airport. Increasing fuel prices have since caused an increase in hourly operating costs for most airplanes, whether rented or owned.American Chop Suey: Macoroni with hamburger and a bit of tomato sauce.Bap: soft, flattish bread roll; hamburger bun.Burger:

Ted Nugent is an admitted draft dodger and womanizer. Paul McCartney is the greatest songwriter in rock history. Advantage Paul..
The roadies cashed their checks and signed the contract to work on Paul’s tour.. Right? Case closed. YOUR FIRED! You didn’t follow your contract. If you couldn’t go a few weeks without a burger, THEN YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE SIGNED YOUR CONTRACT.
Why do conservatives how so much trouble with CLEAR - established rules? Start your OWN tour and hire who you want. If you don’t like Paul for caring about animals, then DON’T BUY his records or concert tickets. Quit whining about others who follow through on their convictions. Danish pro Bo Hamburger has, after denying it for so many years, admitted to using EPO from 1995-1997. This adds yet another pro athlete who denied, denied, denied, and now finally admits he took drugs. In fact Hamburger was the first rider to test positive under the UCI's new testing procedure in 2001. He was later cleared as one of his "B" samples came back negative, even though he admits to doping again in 2005 after an injury. And the bad news for Danish cycling fans continued as Michael Rasmussen admitted not to doping, but to lying to the UCI about his whereabouts when he missed two pre-tour doping tests earlier this year. He maintains that the nature of his absence was marital problems, and the he lied to protect his private life. He also insists that his team knew about this and even gave him money to travel in France during this time period when he missed the doping tests."I have never taken (the banned blood-booster) EPO (erythropoietin) at any point during my career."Well,

Topps meat factory, the largest producer of frozen burgers in the United States, cut its E.coli testing on ground beef from once a month to three times a year, mixed tested with untested meat (both foreign and domestic), threw frozen beef in with fresh, threw in scraps from other production lines, and basically kept no records of where the meat came from, where it went, or when it was supposedly tested. When E.coli outbreaks showed up in Topps beef across the country, Topps' shoddy record keeping couldn't show what batches started on what dates and pinpoint contaminated beef from safe batches. Ultimately Topps was forced to recall an entire year's production of beef, which ran them out of business.Critics have complained that the Bush administration relaxed the meat testing guidelines in 2002 to basically self-enforced testing with no oversite. If that sounds familiar it's because that's what Bush has done with every industry - push profit ahead of the safety of everyone. The end

by: Donna Monday When I was a kid Wimpy from the old Popeye cartoon show was one of my favorite characters because he expressed a deep love and obsession with hamburgers on a bun. Wimpy was always looking for hamburgers and wasn’t happy unless his plate was piled high with steaming hot hamburgers. Even though I could only eat one, I easily related to Wimpy’s love of hamburgers, especially cheeseburgers. As I grew up I discovered how easy it was to make a meal out of cooking hamburgers and putting them on a hamburger bun. Add a little ketchup or hamburger sauce and you’ve got yourself a quick lunch or dinner. While I’m not sure about the real history of the hamburger (a couple of towns claim to be the home of the original burger) I do know that they’re popularity spread quickly. Online you can find recipes for hamburger pattie or how to make foil hamburgers over fire. But some of the best hamburger recipes don’t even involve a bun. Online you can find recipes for hamburger
Thankfully the Freebie Gods are sending us lots of free food today, like these free Hamburger Helper Microwave Singles. The New York Mets' new Citi Field ballpark is under construction and is rapidly taking shape. There are already reports coming out regarding the possibilities for in-stadium eateries. One of the rumors has Madison Square Park's famous Shake Shack taking up space in the new ballpark. Shake Shack -- known for their delicious American fare and infamously long lines -- could be flipping their burgers for hungry Mets fans. The greatest hamburger mystery of our time has been solved: We have it from a high-level source near the situation that the location of the long-awaited sequel to Shake Shack is Citi Field, better known as the new Shea Stadium. (Citi Field is currently under construction; it will be finished in April 2009, in time for opening day.) And that most definitely is not all: The Union Square Hospitality Group also plans a Danny Meyer sit-down restaurant there. (We’re waiting to hear back from Meyer on both of these reports.) As for the new Shake Shack, well, if you thought ba

Have you ever seen an advertisement for a hamburger or similar food product and thought to yourself "That looks good, I think I'll get that"? Have you gone and bought the hamburger after looking at the advertisement? Have you then realized that, despite what you originally believed, the actual hamburger looks nothing like the hamburger being advertised? Hamburger advertisements are a major reason why the internet appeals to you and me.Let me explain.Advertisers know that, in order to sell their product, they have to make their product appeal to the masses. For the example of a hamburger: advertisers hire professional photographers, who use professional lighting to take shots from special angles. The advertisers spend hours putting together a simple hamburger - though, in the real world, it would take 35 seconds to slop together. They create the perfect product to be advertised. It's not cheating, but it's not quite the truth. The surprising thing is that you and I don't care. We see
When I saw this recipe on an old time recipe board I had to read through it a couple different times. I couldn't decide if you really, truly, served it cold. Ground beef and 'cold' just don't go together well in my mind.
It's a recipe that I know is at least 40 years old and I suspect even older, as I would hedge a bet I'd find similar in some of my old church cookbooks from the 30's and 40's.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson seems really upset about the New Wembley Stadium, not because his team beats by Chelsea on The FA Final Cup but the price of goods at the new Wembley is too high. “It is ridiculous, £5 for a hamburger” Sir Alex told MUTV. “The prices are extortionate. You can only kill the game that way.”
The Football Supporters’ Federation in England previously has called for a boycott by fans regarding the high price at The New Wembley. But The FA has defended the prices, claiming they are lower than many comparable grounds in London. The FSF will meet FA officials but Steve Powell, head of development for the FSF, confirmed that the boycott would take place.

Loki Beaker was surprised to find a hamburger in a medical dummy that he ordered from the Sims Home Shopping Network. “That was the last thing that I expected to find in there. I thought that someone at Dummies R Us had accidentally put left his lunch behind but that wasn’t the case.”The hamburger that Loki found just happened to be the Sacred Hamburger of King Winkie. For those who are new to Sim City, or slept through history class, King Winkie was ruler of Sim City back in 986 BC. Some said he was crazy, but it was his obsession for the perfect hamburger that drove him. The story goes that once his chefs had mastered the skill, Winkie took one bite and had the hamburger preserved forever. That hamburger was believed to be lost forever. It was delivered to the Beaker house where Loki found it while practicing his dissecting skills.
The hamburger has since been turned over to the Sim City University for further study. “We can’t wait to find out wha
