News has been announced that Mark Hamburg has decided to leave Adobe after having worked at the company for over 17 years. Mark joined Adobe in the Fall of 1990, not long after Photoshop 1.0 was released and was instrumental in devising many of the ‘wow’ features we have all come to love and rely on daily when we work with Photoshop. Mark left the Photoshop team after Photoshop 7 shipped and went to work developing a new paradigm in image processing which would finally ship as the product named Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. As reported by Ogle Earth, the amazing 3D buildings in Hamburg are now in the buildings layer of Google Earth. Stefan says, “You will need a graphics card from the future — unless you are really close in, flying around Hamburg is done at extremely low fps… more like fpm”.  This will become more of an issue in the future as more buildings find their way into Google Earth. A few months ago, I suggested to the Google Earth team that they handle 3D buildings in a somewhat similar manner as Virtual Earth - low quality as you’re far away, higher quality as you zoom in.  While I’m sure that’s quite a technical hurdle, they must be considering something of that nature to help combat this growing performance problem.

Because of really heavy traffic I wasn't able to do anything I planned to do on friday. Me and my boyfriend arrived in Hamburg at 7.30 pm without beeing in Hannover for the made in germany exhibition. Everyone living in Germany seemed to be on the Autobahn on friday. It was horrible. In Hamburg I had 15 minutes to spend in H&M where I bought a dress which I have to return because it doesn't fit properly - I hate shopping out of frustration... At least my boyfriend bought a very sexy slim fit Hugo Boss shirt to wear at my ex-boyfriends wedding...On saturday I spent the morning preparing for the wedding, which started at 4 pm. I wore a dress Hang made for me. Long slim, shiny - I was dressed perfectly. I couldn't take a single photo at that wedding since I forgot to bring my battery pack, which really pissed me off since I carried the camera around but couldn't take a single photo. I'm on the road again. On our way to hamburg we'll make a quick stop at Hannover to see the Made in Germany exhibition. Andy Murray was 5-1 up and just cruising against Volandri until a wrist injury forced him to retire.BBC Sport reports that Murray appeared to have injured his wrist after one shot and then after the next crumpled over in pain. The trainer strapped it, but after the next two points Murray could no longer continue.This is desperately disappointing for Murray and his fans, especially considering that Murray had clearly regained his form quickly. There're so many things to do that I somehow don't have a minute to finish blogging about my hamburg trip, although there were many important and interessting things happening there. Day three started with an exhbition at the westwerk at an old factory located at admiralitätsstraße in the center or hamburg. See the whole documentation here.After that I met Max who just has finished his internship at the Sammlung Falckenberg located at the Phownixhallen at Hamburg-Harburg (just across the street where Mohamed Atta had lived, which was quite scary indeed!). Well. The private collection of contemporary art by Harald Falckenberg is huge and very interessting. He built his own private museum sponsored by the Phoenix company who manufactures rubber (as part of continental). Max showes us around on a sunday afternoon. Normally you have to have an appointment to get inside, but we were free to walk around and see all the things we wanted to see. Special about this private museum are rooms

... Es war einfach zum schnurren schön. Es gibt Menschen, die man lange nicht gesehen hat und doch ist wie gerade eben, als wenn keine Zeit vergangen ist. Lange Nächte, viel erzählen, schauen, neues erleben, draußen Wind und Wetter erleben. Ich komme bald wieder ... versprochen! Das Umland ist einfach plattes Land für mich, irgendwie unspektakulär. Mir fehlen die Hügel und Täler der Eifel. Aber auch hier gibt es wunderschöne Wälder und Moore in denen wir unterwegs waren. An diesen Torwächtern kommt man nur vorbei, wenn man Leckerli mitbringt. Wir haben sie mit alten Brötchen bestochen und wurden gnädig ins Haus gelassen. Liebe Auch-Hamburger oder aus der Umgebung. Das war ein ziemlicher Spontan-Kurz-Urlaub mit vollem Programm. Das nächste mal nehme ich mir mehr Zeit und dann suche ich Euch alle heim

The last Hamburg report Hanging out in Hamburg, at my family's house. Been here for the last two nights and am about to take a night train to Paris to pick up my laptop before heading back to Copenhagen (one of my favorite discoveries) and wait out the last two days til I fly home. After that, I have to find a job, and quick or I'll be stuck at the parents' house for quite some time. Any ideas?
