This is a pretty good endorsement to have in Illinois. Governor Edgar is about the only state wide Repubilcan with any kind of popularity. I still with that he would have endorsed Fred Thompson, but Guiliani is my second choice in the primaries. But this will help Guiliani, especially in Illinois.

the endorsement of former Illinois Governor Jim Edgar. Edgar, who
served two terms as Governor of Illinois, left the Governor’s Office
with the highest approval ratings of any Illinois Governor in recent

Just to be clear. In January of 2009, I want to see Wayne Allyn Root as president of the United States. I do know that is unlikely, but I feel it is possible.
My #2 pick (and much more likely to win) is Rudy Guiliani, and right now, he is killing me.

“If you understand how to lower taxes, you understand how to grow an economy,” Giuliani said. “I’ve done it more effectively than anyone else running for President.”
Positive economic growth, Giuliani said, comes from the private sector. Lowering taxes will allow the private sector to grow and produce jobs and income, which will help the United States stay competitive in the global economy.
He also talks about reducing spending, something I think we can all agree needs to be done. He talks about ending America’s dependency on foreign oil. Something I don’t believe will happen, but all candidates talk about it. It’s a hot button issue, and which candidate is going to say they are against it? None of them.
