Here’s a list of the fabulous prizes waiting for you:

“guest blogging”
It seems that guest blogging has taken over a few popular blogs in the last few months. I am not fully convinced that guest blogging is good for the bloggers who except the articles and I am concerned that the results may only one sided and in favor of the guest.

Photo by alcommArticle directory submission and guest blogging are some of the most effective ways to promote yourself outside your blog. But of course, you cannot do either of the two if you cannot make quality posts. For the record, I submit most of my articles to some of the top article directories which you can find in my sidebar, and I also posted three guest posts at bloggingtips.com. I can say that I am quite lucky; all of them have been approved with minimum hassle. But after I posted a comment on a post about guest blogging at Article Specialist’s Blognetwork, he asked me how the two differ from each other. This is quite a tough question so I decided to make this post to somehow provide more profound answers. Based on my experience, here is what I have observed.1.0 Although it is
I'm pulling double duty today. In addition to my regular posts here, I'm also guest blogging at the Connecticut Employment Law Blog to cover for Dan Schwartz while he's in trial. Click on over to Dan's outstanding blog (and I'm not just saying that because of my guest post) and take a look at my thoughts on the federal Healthy Families Act. While your there, be sure to subscribe and add Dan to your feed reader.Presented by Kohrman Jackson & Krantz
Just when you thought I was a guest blogger in one post, I come back around for round 2! Yoshi of haroyoshi.com informed me that he too was allowing people to post on his blog, so I marched myself over there, grabbed a pencil and went to work. I of course chose the topic that is currently on my mind right now; my shoulder. You can read that post here, and make sure you visit Yoshi's awesome site haroyoshi.com Now, back to nursing my shoulder injury.
My friend over at katscratchfever.com allowed me to guest blog today, and it was cool to get out there into the internet and share my thoughts at random. So you can check out my post via the link here.I've only been asked to guest blog twice before, so every time I get to write on someone elses blog, I feel very appreciative and overjoyed. You should check out her blog, she's former classmate of mine from the good ol days at the Art Insitute of California.
I would like to reserve this post to thank Kevin Muldoon of Blogging Tips who gave me this great experience to be a guest blogger to his very informative and clean blog. This was my first time for me to be a guest blogger, and I am very enthusiastic about it. For the record, I have been viewing his blog for a quite some time. In fact, I am also planning to submit this blog to his directory just like I did to my parenting tip and marriage tip blogs. But for now, I would like to share to all of you how I felt when I saw my post on his blog:1.0 I felt like a professional. If you are a new blogger, being a guest blogger in a huge site will make you feel like a professional. This will upgrade your status as a blogger and you will strive to write more good quality articles. It can also make you

Who doesn’t want an RSS counter showing more than 1000 subscribers? Many bloggers are looking for the miracle formula to get plenty of new subscribers each weeks, but in reality, unless you pay big money to advertise your blog on strategic sites, making it to major league will require time and perseverance.
Guest blogging expands your horizon because the very first time you start writing for other blogs, you expose yourself to readers who have never heard of you before. Of course you could continue blogging thinking you will expand your readership slowly by producing quality content (i.e. pillar posts). But this will take a while, and unless you come up with a brilliant idea that pro bloggers will all be linking to, you’ll need to find ways to get more exposure. Guest blogging gives you this instant visibility.
Go For The First Base
If your first gig is a home run on ProBlogger, John Chow or Zen Habits (you get the point), then congratulations! But starting your guest blogg
The Peabody Conservatory of Music has a new exchange program with the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, and Lee Philips, a 4th year double bassist at Peabody, just wrote a post on the Peabody Double Bass blog reflecting on his experiences in this overseas environment. Lee writes: I originally decided to come study here because I’d heard interesting things about the conservatory here a few times, and when this opportunity was suggested to me, I thought it’d be good for me. A semester in Singapore, a country known for its strict laws and firm work ethic, almost seemed like the ideal opportunity to prepare for a busy Spring semester that will include my senior recital, several auditions, and a performance of the 2nd Bottesini Concerto on the Karr/Koussevitzky bass. So, I got the go-ahead from my teacher and “the exchange committee” and I made arrangements to go. Click here to read Lee's complete essay on his experiences in this new environment.
Have you fed your new blog with many quality posts and yet find that your blog is not read by others? Content is surely king but it isn't enough to increase your blog subscribers. People need to know that your blog exists and for that you need to promote your blog. There are many ways to promote your blog and get new readers. Some include commenting regularly on other blogs having similar content to that of yours, advertising on popular blogs in your niche and submitting your posts to Digg, Stumble Upon and Del.icio.us.But one of the best way is to guest blog on popular blogs in your niche. By guest blogging you get visitors to your blog who are already interested in the topic you write and therefore are more likely to convert to regular readers whereas visitors from sites like Digg, Stumble Upon and Del.icio.us mostly will just read your post once and never return again.Every blog has their own set of readers, and guest blogging on it exposes your blog to them. Though not all of thos

My new 'employers'So, as and from today, I'm a guest blogger on CarDomain. Check out my first post here. It's not the end of wheelspin though, so keep coming back! If you've never heard of the CarDomain site, it's definitely worth a look around. Best way to describe it is 'Bebo for cars.'
Tonight, Karen writes about our most recent cooking experiment: paella.Growing up, I never celebrated Christmas or waited for Santa Claus to come down the chimney bearing gifts (instead I partied with Hanukkah Harry over eight glorious nights). Late December wouldn’t mean much for me if not for the unique New Year’s Eve celebration cooked up by my parents. It all started innocently enough. When my brothers and I were young, my parents went out and celebrated New Year’s Eve in the traditional manner. They hated it. Paying exorbitant prices for the same entertainment they could get on any normal night of the year, worrying about drunk drivers, and leaving the kids back home was not their style. So they decided to defy tradition and do up New Year’s Eve their way.And thus was born the New Year’s Eve family feast. Meals generally started around 7ish and the final course never finished before midnight. Dick Clark was often on in the background and the menu was always gut busting. H
Tonight, I'm going to put aside the keyboard to allow Karen to share some of her thoughts. Take it away, sweetie! How'd You Get Here?Did You Know: Food for Thought gets more hits from Google searches related to Fred Steak, Real Men of Genius, the Testicle Festival, and the nutritional value of food (generally sushi and Johnsonville Brats) than anything else? For almost a year now, Food for Thought has been a personal labor of love consistently read by a relatively small group of friends and family. But in recent weeks, traffic to the site has been inching its way upward and Loren has been getting pretty excited. Being a Web 2.0 guy, he’s happy to see his work shared with a broader community. People have been coming from all over the world and getting here in the most interesting ways. I know because Loren (on more than one occasion) has shared his sitemeter statistics with me. While the numbers are nothing compared to the big blogs out there, I think the findings are worthy of
While in not so sunny Seattle, I didn't want to tease with the hopes of the usual tasty topics, so I've left you a guest blogger to whet your palate until I return next week. While he may not have as many pent up "fantasies" as the last guest blogger, Steve Hall, be sure that he still has a thing or two to show.Gavin Heaton, based out of Australia, is a contributor to Marketing Profs Daily Fix and also writes at Servant of Chaos. He was one of the few bloggers that began linking to Shake Well Before Use when it first took flight. Leveraging the unlikely, I took Gavin up on his Twitter when my need of a guest blogger came up in conversation. As always, I give guest bloggers free reign and no censorship, so NSFW-softies be warned.P.S. If you're in Seattle as well, I recommend making paper airplanes and attending Ignite Seattle!. Unfortunately, I'll be on an airplane while you're taping yours together.
Sponsor This PostHarpzOn is a blog i have been visiting for about 2 weeks now, and I have to say, it is fantastic. The reason is that there are so many great ideas to gain traffic to your site. The site owner had 1000 readers a day, which was acheived two weeks after first post. What I wanted to post is a great set of notes on becoming a guest blogger which was written by Mitch of HarpzOn, which is a great way of boosting readership. Here they are:You must write high quality, useful posts on your own blog. Nothing will boost your credibility more than writing quality posts that a lot of people find interesting. You don't have to be an English major but you do have to write in a fluent, casual manner and you should write about topics you feel your readers will find interesting. In my case, I write a lot of posts about getting traffic to your blog. You need to network, even if it's just online. John Chow's in Canada and I'm in Australia but that didn't stop me sending him an email t

Why Did I Have Guest Bloggers?
You may be curious as to why I’ve included guest bloggers within my “regular programming”. There are actually several reasons.
I like to do experiments and this seemed like a fun direction to take the blog into. I also wanted you, my readers, to experience a different voice, incase you were getting tired of me (even though I know that woul
One of the great things about blogging is the cool people that you come in contact with and the great ideas that they have. Over the past few weeks I have come across two distincly different sites that are both getting into the world of blogging and I am honored to be a part of there growing blog communities.
About Curves - This is a lingerie site that has some sizzling hot lingerie for sizes 1X-6X. There blog though brand new is made up of several bloggers including Sarah from Plus Size Clothing Scoop that will offer different opinions on cool and exciting things.
Curvi Blog - This blog is the companion to the plus size ezine Curvilinear Magazine. What makes this blog unique is the fact that they are asking for readers of the ezine to submit blog posts with the possibility of becoming a paid staff writer.
With both blogs being new the direction that they will be taking is not yet defined. If you want to help shape two new players to the blog world check both out and submit your w
As mentioned earlier, I'm currently soaking up the sun in lovely San Diego for a few days. But fear not, disappointment should only be kept to your bedroom, not blogs. As such, I've invited Steve Hall of Adrants (you may remember him from such hits as 'Agency.com has Hipster Orgasm on YouTube' and 'Bouncing Thong-Clad Beauties Spank For Biker Insurance') to be a guest blogger for a couple days. Besides being the main power force behind one of the industry's largest publications, he's also the one who convinced me to start blogging. So, without further ado, I'll let him do what he does best. I've given him free reign and no censorship, so NSFW-softies be warned.
