By: Bnei Baruch Kabbalah explains that the whole of Creation, including us, constitutes a single desire – the will to enjoy. This desire was created by what the Kabbalists call “Light,” or “the Creator.” As the Light continued to influence the desire it created, the desire went through several stages of development, until it broke into tiny, particular desires called “souls.” And thi

According to reports from Singapore, most Singaporean workforce are now worried over the fast-growing foreign workforce population wherein a larger number of this foreign workforce population are coming from China. Some of the locals have even lamented that these foreign nationals have come to take away their jobs wherein a greater number of aged employees were being replaced by the younger ones coming from China.
Actually, the government saw it in different way. All of this can be attributed to the government initiative that took effect last year when Singapore relaxed its rules to allow more immigration of which a large percentage are coming from Chin

Indonesia has almost shockingly-low pay-TV penetration, at just two per cent of the country’s 40 million-plus TV homes, according to new research. But while still low, the report says that subscriptions have doubled over the last year, with growth “brisk” and up to 785,000. Major pay-TV operators include front-runner Indovision, a DTH operator, and rivals Kabelvision and Telkomvision.Released to coincide with its round-table on Indonesia’s pay-TV industry, the Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA) has updated its Indonesia in View report.Casbaa said: “A newly competitive environment has seen operators differentiate consumer offerings through premium content, while some have secured new channels and launched additional local-language programming such

It's hard to believe that two years ago Ty the Tank came barreling into this world. He was actually due at the end of May, but things were getting cramped in there (mama is petite) and he wanted out!And so, on May 7, 2006, Ty 'The Tank' Alexander was born.Ty had a hard time adjusting to the outside, so he had to stay in the NICU for a few days until he got things sorted out. This made me and Lori both nervous and sad. Every parent wants their child to be healthy, and it's hard seeing a bunch of newborns hooked up to machines and wires. The worst part was not being able to really snuggle with him, since he had to stay under a heat lamp most of the time. I guess he just needed to cook a little longer because after a few days he was fine.By the time he was 6-months-old, he went from a pe

Low-oxygen “underwater deserts” have expanded over the past 50 years, most likely because of global warming. Climate models predict that the trend will continue, potentially threatening marine ecosystems.
In the layer of the ocean called the “oxygen-minimum zone”, concentrations of dissolved oxygen are particularly low. This zone has been expanding both upwards and downwards.
Regions of the eastern Pacific Ocean and the northern reaches of the Indian Ocean are now classed as “suboxic”, meaning that the amount of oxygen has dropped sufficiently to harm the functioning of ecosystems.

Police Sound Alarm Over Growing Pornography:
BY VANESSA C. ROLLE -
Nassau, Bahamas:
Some 15,000 Bahamians have paid membership in adult Internet sex groups, according to Assistant Superintendent of Police Paul Rolle, who added that child pornography in the country has also become an issue for police.
In a conference call with the media from throughout the country on Friday, ASP Rolle reported that child and adult pornography appear to be growing in The Bahamas.
ASP Rolle, who is heads the Cyber Crimes Unit of the Central Detective Unit, said that in 2006, there were 11,400 Bahamians registered on pornographic or sex group websites such as sexsearch.com and adultfriendfinder.com.
"It is growing by leaps and bounds so you can expect to have the problem of Internet porn in The Bahamas,

ARTICLE FROM PETER ABRAHAM:NEW YORK - Double-A outfielder Jose Tabata, considered one of the organization's top prospects, was suspended for three games last week and considered asking the Yankees for his release.A 19-year-old from Venezuela, Tabata left last Saturday's game without permission, fleeing the ballpark after striking out in the seventh inning. That led to the three-game suspension.Tabata is hitting .186 with no home runs and 12 RBI over 26 games for Trenton."The expectations of who I am supposed to be and what I am supposed to do finally got to me," Tabata told The (Trenton) Times through a translator. "I made an irrational decision. Maybe it was immaturity, inexperience or just that I didn't know how to handle what was happening. I just kept thinking I am not producing the wa
With a strong economy comes great expansion and an improved life style. This concept has remained true throughout history, countries with strong financials are able to remain a float and offer its citizens a good life style compared to countries where the economy is weak and under-developed. Countries such as China are highly developed and have strong financials mostly due to the massive production of goods which are exported to several countries across the globe. From candles all the way to cars, China manufactures every single part needed to make things work and to ensure jobs within its domain which is why this country has experienced an increase in the amount of foreigners who travel there in order to get a better job compared to the ones they got at their home country. In using fertilizer for your growing bonsai, you need to exercise proper balance and lots of attention to detail. Your determination to make your bonsai grow lies in many factors but it ultimately boils down to your determination and consistency. It’s not just humans that need tender loving care. Bonsai plants need that extra care too especially when it is during their growing period. It is very important to note that bonsai will not grow on its own with mere fertilizer alone. It mainly grows from carbon dioxide and water. But this does not mean that fertilizers are no longer important. Just like vitamins are to the human body, fertilizers give vitality to bonsai plants that cannot be attained by mere infusion of carbon dioxide and water. The elements of fertilizer must include phosphoru

As the number of people that have cell phones is rapidly growing, so is the number of people that are becoming addicted to their phones. When these phones were invented, they were intended to make life easier. Today there are some people that do not have a life because they do not know when to turn them off. You probably know a person who is a cell phone addict. It could be the person who leaves his phone on in the hospital even if it is against the rules because he is afraid he will miss a call. Or the phone user who sends text messages all day from work when he should be doing his job. These same people will have an anxiety attack if they forgot their phones at home and cannot enjoy what they are doing until that phone is back in their hand. Unfortunately, cell phone addiction may become

Last spring I posted about how I kept a notebook of children's activities for my kids to do during the summer then each Wednesday I wrote about one of the activities. Based on the popularity of the posts I must not be the only mom out there who panics when she finds herself staring summer right in the eyes so I'm doing it again this year. The first activity? Growing crystals. Now this isn't rocket science--I'd guess you'd call it rock science--and it's easy and safe for children with minimum supervision. You'll need:Two glass jarsA pencilNylon threadWaterAlum** Now alum sounds odd but it's actually a chemical used in pickling and can be found in most grocery stores in the spice section. Schilling carries little jars of it for a couple dollars. It's completely safe (though I wouldn't reco
I'm looking for advice here. I have a leek sprout in my compost bin. It's from the end of a leek I put in there 3-4 weeks ago (not thinking it would start growing again, although that's always a possibility). It's already a few inches long. I'd like to maybe put it outside in some soil, but I suspect if I want good leeks (if that's even possible) I need to trim it back somehow... Any green thumbs passing through, I'd be grateful for your input. I'll probably be planting my (tiny) vegetable garden in a couple of weeks, and that's easy enough (I hope), but is it possible to get more leeks out of the end of a leek?

Over many decades, the old SA Guineas threw up one great horse after another. Indeed, as an event, it has the highest average merit rating among its placed horses of any race for three-year-olds on the South African racing calendar. How’s that for an event which our programmers believe to be worthy of only Grade Two status these days? And Saturday’s outcome more than vindicated the race’s traditional billing, pitting with very few exceptions, the best three-year-old milers in the country against each other. From a Summerhill perspective, we’ve provided the heroes for the event two years in a row, but in each case we’ve been cast in the role of “giant killers” rather than as the giant himself.
Understanding the vicious circle is the first step out of itChronic overdraft and debt is a widely spread illness. Chances are many of the household who suffer from it are caught in a vicious circle of negative cash flow and debt. Even more likely is the fact that they are unaware of their situation and of the behavioral pattern responsible for it.The vicious circle A vicious circle is comprised of an interlinked series of events or behaviors which constantly reinforce themselves through feedback towards greater instability. In household finances the classic vicious circle would like this:The total negative cash flow of the household keeps getting bigger and bigger. The end is obviously and painfully clear.Getting caught in such a vicious circle is terribly easy. Express loans, credit and
Scarification, a new word I learnt from an episode I caught on National Discovery channel. I actually can't tolerate scenes of surgeries in progress or scene involving flesh and blood. In this instance, the subject caught my attention. This ritual took place in Africa, if I'm not mistaken. A teenage boy was preparing anxiously to a bloody ritual which was supposed to mark the beginning of manhood for him. Not prepared of what's going to be shown on the screen, my undisturbed attention was focused on the narration. Apparently, boys must undergo this traditional scarring of the body before he can be accepted as an adult. Shockingly, the tool used to cut or scar the body (what I saw was on the chest until below the navel) is not a proper knife. It was some kind of broken piece of metal, steril

Environmental Health News is always full of interesting stories, and a quiet Sunday like today is no exception.Although climate change is the big, bad issue that's getting ever more attention, it's definitely not the only problem we're facing. Soil scientists and geologists have been trying to get more attention for the fact that we're using up the lifeblood of civilization, at a rate 10 to 20 times faster than it's replenished, our soil. Scientists working on how to boost fertility and even make soil from scratch are doing important work without most of us even realizing we've got a problem.Another increasingly worrying problem is the amount of chemicals we've poured into our environment. Suspecting there's a problem, getting funding for research are only the easiest part of the battle in

CURRENCY TRADING SUMMARYU.S. Dollar Trading (USD) surged against the Euro on Thursday, the most it has risen against the Euro since December, as traders add to bets the Fed will cease their rate cutting stance to stimulate economic growth and ease the liquidity problems as affects from their previous rate cuts are now starting to be seen. Orders for U.S Durable Goods excluding transportation equipment increased more than forecast in March, indicating parts of the economy are weathering the housing slump. Jobless Claims came in ahead of the forecasted 375k, with 342k reported this week an improvement on last week’s 375k. New Homes for March came in at 526k, slightly down on the predicted 580k and down on the 575k for the month of February, indicating the housing sector in the U.S is still
My trip to London for a conference is rapidly approaching. I leave on May 13th for 5 days. My goal was to save up $600 US, so that I would have approximately 300 GPB. This should be enough for transportation around the city, food, and any little touristy things I want to do. I should mention that my touristy things are free. All the ones you have to pay for, well I did those last time I was in London. This time I am hitting up museums, etc. Anyhow, last night I transferred my allowance from the week into the fund ($25) and now my grand total is $595!!!!!! I still have 2 more allowances ($50) to put into the fund, and my brother-in-law is planning on giving me $100 for doing his taxes earlier in the year. So what does this all mean? Two things: 1) I hit my goal! And making goals, no matter

Mint is the first herb I ever saw growing in the ground. I was about ten and brushed up against it at the nursery where my mother was shopping for edging plants. That chance encounter started my life long interest in herbs. I've kept many of

Friends of Choice in Urban Schools recently announced that charter schools now education 31% of all public school students in the nation's capital. But if we add the 2,600 kids that are in failing public high schools that are about to be turned over to charter school operators then the percentage swells to 42%. This means that the number of students educated by DCPS and D.C.'s charter school movement are just about even.Quite impressive considering that each charter school is in essence its own company.

Now, there are many things that are required for being successful in the business world, but the one thing that is utmost necessary is to have an edge over competitors. This is exactly what business process outsourcing ultimately aims to provide to SMEs that desire to achieve even greater milestones. SMEs that intend to grow fast and achieve economies of scale should look no further than bu

There are over 30 types of lymphoma that have so far been detected and they can be grouped according to a variety of criteria. One such criterion is how fast the cancer is growing and so lymphomas are generally classed as either slow growing or fast growing. Slow growing lymphomas can be very difficult to detect because they rarely exhibit symptoms while they are still in an early stage. As their name suggests, slow growing lymphomas take a relatively long time to grow to a size that starts to affect the body. Initially slow growing lymphomas will confine themselves to one specific area of the body.
