I’ve been following NBC’s reality weight loss show Biggest Loser from a life insurance and health education view point. This had to be a tough week psychologically on the participant’s, as there was a lot of hard work going on and very few dropped any significant weight. Hopefully Dr Jen , the Biggest Loser doctor, will address the physiological reason for this plateau. Based on my limited knowledge of the dynamics of weight loss through diet and strength training, these kind of plateaus happen because loss of fat is offset at times by by the gain in muscle mass. Because of the small weight loss this week, from a life insurance perspective, there was not a lot of gains to be made. For this week I will post the new weights and leave the life insurance premiums alone. Here there are a large group of satyr that go down easy and respawn quickly. And best of all, they also drop Felcloth, so you stand to make quite a bit of extra gold grinding here. If you are a tailor this is a must-grind spot. You will be fighting Legashi Satyr, Legashi Hellcallers and Legashi Rogues. As I mentioned, they’re all pretty easy. This is not a good area for more than two players to grind simultaneously due to the (not large) number of mobs, but they have a fair respawn time so two players should have minimal downtime. I recommend soloing this area.

I came across something this weekend that I thought was pretty funny. Like most websites we use a couple of different tools to track the traffic that comes into Tasty Booze. One of those tools shows us where people have come from. For example Bored Dude has a link to Tasty Booze on their referral page. If someone clicks that link then our tool shows us they came from Bored Dude. If someone lands at Tasty Booze after doing a Google search the tool will tell us what phrase they used in their Google search. Sure it is a little big brother but it is pretty sweet. So Sunday morning I was out of bed early making some coffee for my lady friend and myself. I am slightly obsessed with checking our site traffic so I sat down to review the numbers while my pot of gloriousness brewed. I would have actually made a profit to level stakes but using the new staking plan I was down 2 points. It's just swings and roundabouts really, having 2 winners in the 3% bracket hurt and when the other 5 bets are outside the maximum 3% bracket its tough going. I don’t know many people that are fans of repeatedly killing the same thing over and over to increase a certain thing, in this case reputation with various factions in World of Warcraft. My main is a Skinner/Leatherworker and it seems that all the good leatherworking patterns are with the most annoying groups to get my reputation up with. Of course, I would probably be saying the opposite if I had to grind rep with others, but that’s a different matter. My main problem is the entire idea of grinding reputation for a group, but especially when these rewards are mildly, if at all, better than what I can use. Some of the rewards at Exalted reputation are nice, but none that I think are worth the time it would take to grind that out.
