The first time I saw this was on opening night a little over a year ago at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood. “Grindhouse” was a three hour-plus exploitation film double feature with movie one, “Planet Terror,” written and directed by Robert Rodriguez and movie two, “Death Proof,” written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. I just watched the two films, "Planet Terror" and "Death Proof." Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the fake trailers and whatever other extras were included in the theatrical viewing. Still, it was a decent experience. I say decent because that is what I consider the average of the two films to be. Really, "Death Proof" wasn't that great (in my opinion), while "Planet Terror" rocked! "Planet Terror" comes after "Death Proof," but I'd watched it first, which is why I was disappointed after...while watching "Death Proof.""Planet Terror" features zombies, action, violence, gore, intense situations, some drama, and some coolness. It was amazing. Over-the-top at some parts, but planned out so well that it works perfectly. Edge-of-your seat entertainment. It totally lives up to the Gri
Looking nice and for around £50 from YesAsia it's not too bad a deal for a 6 disc Japanese release.

PS: Perché io i trailer finti

Consigliato?

Tarantino a Death Proof-ot, Rodriguez pedig a Planet Terrort. A két filmet együtt tervezték vetíteni Grindhouse címmel, de úgy tűnik, mindenhol külön vetítik őket. Valószínűleg május végén nálunk is külön kerülnek a mozikba.Az album Rodriguez filmzenéjét tartalmazza.A film zenéje:1. Robert Rodriguez - Grindhouse (Main Titles)2. Robert Rodriguez - Doc Block3.
It’s official, Grindhouse is being released as two separate films in the UK and Ireland. What’s more, the planned launch date of June 1 has been pushed way back due to the feature’s dismal takings at the US Box Office.
Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof will now hit UK and Irish screens on September 21st and Robert Rodriguez’s Planet Terror hasn’t even been given a confirmed release date yet. (more…)
I know that Tarantino/Rodriguez double bill release has done complete justice to the genre in terms of the marketing it has done in the theatres. But has anyone seen the classy website for the film? The word "exploitation" itself is an old show business term for publicizing shows and motion pictures. "Exploitation films" are those whose success relied not on the quality of their content, but on the ability of audiences to be drawn in by the advertising of the film (for example, a common device used by the more notorious exploitation films is to advertise the banning of a film in a certain country). Ephraim Katz, author of The Film Encyclopedia, has defined exploitation as: Films made with little or no attention to quality or artistic merit but with an eye to a quick profit, usually via high-pressure sales and promotion techniques emphasizing some sensational aspect of the product Given the above definition, I wonder if I could classify the entire of Bollywood 80s as Indian
It was a decent weekend for two movie luminaries that audiences have grown to love. Nope, I’m not talking about directors Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino, but Will Ferrell and Jon Heder. The skating comedy Blades of Glory topped the box office again with a $23 million take. The much ballyhooed double-feature homage to 70’s exploitation, Grindhouse, took in a paltry $12 million to place fourth over the holiday weekend.I’ll admit that while perplexed, I really didn’t want to see Grindhouse. I like the idea of resurrecting the double-bill, and movie tributes from any era can be fun, if not very popular (remember The Good German?). In between the two features are a block of faux trailers for similar trashy fare. The most praised (and available on the web) of these is Thanksgiving from Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Hostel). Obviously “inspired” by early-80’s slasher flicks, this very graphic trailer is pretty sick and wrong. Seeing this thing alone made me glad that I chose to
Man..I can’t get enough of Rose McGowan. Just 5 mins after I wrote the post below, I’m just hooked on her new movie - The GrindHouse
Check out this Robert Rodriguez Quentin Tarantino Grind House Movie Trailer Pictures…It kicks ass….I never knew Rose McGowan had such potential. Cool
The new Grind House trailer has hit the net, and it is amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever had this much fun watching a trailer. Both Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s feature length films look incredible. And Kurt Russell… he looks and sounds like he was meant to be in a Tarantino film.

I really loved Rosario Dawson’s dress at the “Grindhouse” premiere on Monday. It’s very simple and elegant, not too frilly, the color looked beautiful on her.
Wanna know who the worst dressed was? Check that hideous thing ***here***.

Last night was the world premiere of Tarantino & Rodriguez collabo flick "GrindHouse" in Los Angeles. Check out some of the red carpet arrivals... Rosario Dawson wearing a boring & non-flattering dress...so not cute! Cutie Common stopped by... Eva Mendez looking like a damn hobo...looks like someone forgot to get her jeans tailored! Even Kobe & Vanessa Bryant made a red carpet appearance...Vanessa is making sure to hold on to her golden ticket, despite his cheating ways!
Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian").
How good does this trailer for Grindhouse look? Rodriguez and Tarantino have the coolest movie of the year! Danny Trejo rocks too!
