The air around the Appalachian mountains seem to be infested with forest spirits that tell you how to cook up the most simple and amazing melodies that the best producers in the world can't come up with try as they might. Larkin Grimm, a native of Memphis, Tennessee who lived in a hippie commune till she was 7 is a real life example that comes straight from Shyamalan's "The Village"
[Usually, I try to be humorous, but I’m so irritated that the American Congress is giving away $700 billion to Wall Street, I thought I’d write about that. Humor to resume next Wednesday.]

In doing research for this challenge, I read quite a few of the tales collected by The Brothers Grimm. I really enjoyed some of the more obscure and abstract stories, specifically “The Mouse, The Bird and The Sausage.”

The challenge this week on Monday Artday is illustrate a story from “The Brothers Grimm”.

I like to cheat. In particular, I like to drop titles of books I haven't read. It's not like I'm not going to read them, mind you. I just haven't yet. And I still haven't managed to get all the way through A Landscape With Dragons. But now I can at least say I've gotten all the way through The Complete Brothers Grimm. All the enchanted princesses and princes have been rescued and married off, all t

Alex van Warmerdam's Grimm is not the great film it could have been. Having this surrealistic flair, it has a nice starting point with its two main characters left in the woods like Hensel and Gretel, though, this seems to be the only really clear refercence to its title which insiuates a reference to the two famous fairytale storieteller brothers. Grimm however seems nothing like a fairytale at all, even though it has a somewhat happy ending structure and is quite unusual, if not weird. But after this nice start Grimm becomes a bit too long after the two main characters come to live with a guy the sister gets to know. From this moment on the film seems to be settling down, as if taking a break from the little adventure the sister and brother came to be on in an attempt to get to Spain as
Once upon a time there was a wee lad. The Papa Bear gave the wee lad a bath, dried him off and sent him to find The Mama Bear. Technically, The Mama Bear SHOULD have been standing at the ready with pajamas and parental support, but nooooo. She was too busy screwing around on her computer. [Shocker!] The wee lad ran forteen consecutive nudie laps around and around the house before The Mama Bear heard him say, "Mommy, I'm a BOOBIE Man!" So The Mama Bear got her camera. The wee lad had wandered into Mama and Papa Bear's bedroom..."This way is TOO BIG," he said."This way is TOO SMALL. " But THIS way is JUST RIGHT!"

What most folks don't know is that Ben had recently finished selling tickets to the William Bendix Film Festival and was planning on asking Yvonne De Carlo to be his date before Alicia walked in.And considering William Bendix hadn't made a movie in about 8 years prior to that issue of FF being printed, this was one of the worst attempts at being hip I've ever seen. It's as if Ben was making a reference to Rick Moranis.
Out of all the characters in the Marvel Universe, the Thing is the last person I would expect to dot my i's and cross my t's. That was a very surreal moment in FF history.

Ben, I understand you don't want to smack a woman, but seriously.... it's a freakin' robot! Yeesh! That made my eyes roll so far into my head I can see my own brain.
Kids.... think twice if someone hands you something and orders you to drink it. Especially if it comes in a test tube. Avoid date-rape drugs... the Marvel Way!
I hope these candy-wandies give you heartburn, ya bum! You know, no matter how angry he was when he said it, I couldn't help but laugh if I was on the receiving end. Then, I'd probably get my face smashed into pudding, but that's a dang funny line.
In 1816, fratii Grimm au publicat, in volumul “Legende germane”, povestea fluierasului fermecat din Hameln, basm inspirat de o intamplare reala. Un fluierar imbracat in haine colorate le-a promis localnicilor ca-i scapa de pacoste in schimbul unei sume de bani.
