'Misconceptions' is the latest release from Untitled, and it shows an awareness and maturity that provides an alternative voice within the scene. While not perfect, this CD is a good, well-constructed achievement and, within the genre, a highly original release. The mixtape is definitely a grower, which is down to the breadth of topics scrutinised under Untitled's microscope. The content is not som
Who doesn't listen to DJ Cameo?I shamefully raise my hand, like I used to way back when I had to admit I didn't have the cash for own clothes day. Maybe I should listen to Cameo, but there's just not enough hours in the day. Especially when you get up at 12.Anyway, on the last show Ghetts tells his 'UKG' story. I was expecting narratives of a young Justin rising from the gutter to heady heights bu
They hyped it up on Logan's grime show, now they are making me tap my toes with anoyance aswell as excitement. I want my ticket as much as the rest of you so get in the queue. I recon we'll even have to show we've pre-ordered the 140 Grime Street Album or do something silly like do 140 steps on one foot in the middle of Oxford Street while singing the chorus to Hustler.Either way stay tuned in the

Cleaning wood decking isn’t always the most fun thing to do, but let’s face it - every couple of years, it just has to be done. Plus, by cleaning wood decks really thoroughly once every year or two, it will be so much easier to keep the surfaces sparkling clean and looking great the rest [...]
A great grime/electro related article by Rajveer Kathwadia (big boy skanker). I love the way he just murks Lethal Bizzle's life off:"Of course, it doesn't always go to plan as Lethal Bizzle's Keys to the Bentley proved. Largely ignored by, well, everyone, it was more a case of jumping on the bandwagon than creative contribution."Legendary
The self-prescribed 'King of Radio 1' is moving in a new direction. In the wake of his smash-hit, Wearing My Rolex, Wiley's latest release, 'Grime Wave', is a fine exposition of what Wiley himself has described as 'commercial grime'. The appeal to a wider market is evidence of an artist trying to claw back missed opportunities, of a Wiley engaged in his own 'Race Against Time', and in the process
Kano, Wiley, Chipmunk and Skepta at BBC Weekender [Download]If the Microphone Champion set wasn't enough to digest I just got the audio for a mini sidewinder stageshow set that happened at the BBC Weekender. Imagine Wiley, Kano, Skepta and young pioneer Chipmunk infront of a screaming packed out crowd. Disapointed is not the word that I feel for not bothering to go. Wow. Hear all mcs freestyle ove
Vans tapped the well known San Francisco’ tattoo artist, Grime, for a pack of sneakers covered in his artwork. One Half Cab and two Slip-Ons are done in black and colors, depecting claws or skulls. This is probably the fastest way to get a piece of Grime’s tattoo art on your body since his waitlist [...]
Skepta - King Of GrimeLast quarter he released his debut album Greatest Hits which was critised for not being dark enough. However Skepta Microphone Champion is looking to be released in the next couple of months and from tracks like Cricket Bat and King Of Grime it is clear that Junior is on the right path. Although it wouldn't be controversial to say that Skepta has put the work in, especially in perfecting his live stage shows, but some may argue that the crown of king shouldn't/should be on his head. It's received much debate on forums, late night discussion phone calls and Pro & Con lists but do you think that Skepta is the King of Grime? and if he is then where does that leave talent like Ghetto and Wiley? Do you think that all this debating is pointless and there can be several

My friend Ben "Roulette King" Rayner snapped this recently when he was out in Sweden. I guess UK slang doesn't translate so well over there.I'm playing at Dirty Canvas this Friday. Come.---Dizzee is on Rinse FM as I type. I'm still waiting to see if Wiley will show.
It's Halloween, the day that spoilt little brats go out and ask for more sweets and treats packed full of enough sugar and E numbers to confuse their mind state into thinking its fireworks night. They throw around fireworks like its peanuts, just as I'm typing this 5 boys are standing outside my flat throwing fireworks into my local shop. E numbers! Now as it is Halloween, where people seem to dress up in fancy dress I thought why not use that is a stupid excuse to mess about with my long over due photoshop skills. So if you're popping out tonight and haven't got a clue of what to dress up as, eyy become an emcee. Now many who don't know better would chuck on a New Era hat, a baggy tracksuit and a fake chain and think the look would be complete. However here at HYPERFRANK (not that this is a place/brand, but hey just go with me in this) we understand that being/acting like an emcee takes more than the obvious especially if you want to dress up like a specific artist. Now I could be
Thanks to Hij, a dedicated supporter of the scene, who has produced a wikipedia type website which will source everything and anything you need to know about GRIME. So if you're thinking how many mixtapes has Tinchy released? What colour car did Wiley sell all his white labels from the car boot? and just where can I find out where and how to get the latest releases, profiles and information about artists... then bloody press the link already. Please note it is tightly monitored so don't try it, plus it is still under construction and needs people who know what they are talking about to add information. The final site should be hot and ready in a month or two.GRIME WIKIPEDIA
Possibly one of the best interviews I've ever seen was when Peaches Geldof & Fred and Ghetto linked up in Old street a couple of weeks back and took it on themselves (Ghetto didn't take kindly to us trying to force him in a policeman's costume, any idea why?) to dress up in Star wars and Super hero costumes. Look out for the coverage of this in the newest RWD Magazine - Head to Head, thanks to Mr Raj 'Skanking' Kapone. Peaches and Fred certainly knew their stuff when it came to grime, Yes I know even I was shocked.
Hello. This week we have a picture of Bigz. I should have put it up last week, but I was busy. Here is what Queenie had to say about the picture: "Bigz was an hour and a half late for the shoot because apparently his car broke down, and when he arrived he said he had to go and get some soft drinks. 15 minutes later, he came out of Greggs with a bag containing one foot long sub, two pasties, two doughnuts, and a bag of crisps. He finished off this little snack with a Benson & Hedges fag."

I’m still licking my wounds after missing out on Lil’ Kim but not for long, seriously, the big bookings just raining in and the reason I’m in my town of hate no. 1 (Stockholm) is this: "The biggest and badest Grime event ever in Scandinavia!" called Partners in Grime. Silliest name ever but it doesn’t matter, big up LDN Promotions, the peeps behind this, the lineup is sick, or how about...
