Remember that whole verse about Cadillacs in Ludacris‘ “Southern Hospitality“? How about when Pink mentions Mercedes-Benz in that one hit she had that sounded like every other song she’s ever performed? How about those moments in practically every movie/TV show you watch, when a brand somehow pops up in a situation that doesn’t really make that much sens

Ron Paul seems to be one of the few congressmen asking the right questions. This scene would almost be considered very comical, if so many lives haven't been lost due to as Paul put it "saving face".
I never wanted Ron Paul to be President, but there were many times I admired him for taking on certain issues that others have been afraid to tackle. The collusion of big business and government has been an issue that has been tearing this country down the last couple of decades.
On April Fool’s Day, it was the fools who ruled the court–or rather, the House.
Big Congress, home of Big Taxes and Big Earmarks, lectured Big Oil–a rank amateur compared to Big Government when it comes to extracting money from the American people from its product–about profits

"Why does Gid go to Hebrew school?" The Mayor asked as we drove to his hand therapy appointment. "Well... uh... to learn about his faith," I said. "Why don't I go to Hebrew school?" "Because Gid is Jewish and you are Catholic. When The Rooster turns three we'll start going to church so you can learn about being Catholic.""Are you Catholic, Mommy?" "Well... no, but your Dad is and so... you are too." [Because Dad said so.] "What will I do at Catholic school?"[Eat donuts!]"You'll learn about God, I guess.""Where does God live?""Up in the sky... and... all over the place, everywhere. From the highest part of the sky right down to the inside of your body.[Who do I think I am having this conversation at all?]"How can God be everywhere in the sky and in my body, Mommy?" FL told me his cousin's house ALMOST got broke in this morning at 4am. Har? What happened? His cousin lived in Cheras, a double storey landed house with his mother in law, wife and 2 daughters. This morning he was awake by some noise, he slowly walked down to peep and guess what? He saw SEVEN ppl trying to cut off his locks. Oh my god, SEVEN!!!!!Immediately he turn on the car alarm to scare them off. He said luckily he had 3 locks on his grill, else by the time he walked down, these ppl probably already broke into the house!!!I wasn't surprised he had 3 locks on his grill, my neighbor also got 3 locks!!! What i'm shocked is when i heard 7 guys break into the house! WOW, that was so scary!!How many locks you used to lock your grill? I think I need to have 3 locks as well lar. scary scary!!
I see my immediate family regularly. Like every three weeks regularly. However, I see our extended family way less often. Like once a year often. What brings us together are those typical family events like weddings, showers, funerals (the worst kind of events), you know, those events where your saving grace is having a full glass [...]
David Roberts is a little hard on a "one man mission" for the environment... Call me a moron but, I will be tuning in on Lee's campaign at savetheplanetprotest.com... I had a hard time reading David of the Grist's choice of words on "Lee's" protest of the "Discovery Channel". Using the words "stupid" and "idiot" to describe this environmental search for truth in science media (linked here). Even kindergarten children know enough not to blindly call individuals "stupid idiots" as it's hurtful and reflects ignorance. I remind my son that the world is filled with Billions of people and choosing which ones are "idiots" is just not that easy (see Idiot or Moron). Furthermore, ranking LEE's cause of on a scale of "smart" to "idiot" is impossible in world of imbeciles who contin
The BBQ season is coming to a close, and while most people own a grill and use it somewhat regularly, not everyone is a born chef, and grilling is particularly not everyone's forte. I am sure all of you must have had some good and bad experiences with barbecues; it serves to one of the best events for a pot luck, meeting with friends, chilling out and having fun. And grilling is very important if you are regular campers like us!! While this season ends, I'd like to share with you some common tips and techniques for grilling based on my own experiences. If nothing, these might come in handy for the next year!!BEST GRILLS: Though charcoal grills are still most widely used, I'd recommend Gas or an Electric Grill (especially for first-timers) as they are the easiest to use and produce nice results. They burn hot enough to make distinct "char" marks and add the smokey flavor to your food. If you have to use charcoal, for picnics or camping, try to avoid the self-igniting briquettes. Thou
Mix Cocktails anywhere with the portable drinks workstation from Alpina Grills.
Constructed from stainless steel, this mobile cocktail bar from Alpina Grills is aimed squarely at the more serious hosts amongst you.
Coming complete with bottle holders, fruit cups, cocktail tray and an inbuilt ice maker capable for producing an impressive 46 kilos of ice per hour (to put that into perspective, that’s the equivalent of 1470 ice cubes), the mobile cocktail bar, which itself weighs in at 100 kilos can be located with ease exactly where required thanks to being mounted on four castors.
And, for those that prefer wine to cocktails, the company also produces a mobile wine cellar which offers two independent refrigerated wine cellars with a capacity for up to 42 bottles in total.
Between them, the Mobile Cocktail Bar and the Mobile Wine Cellar - known as Refreshment Islands - are sure to add that extra pizzazz to any social function though we suspect that, on account of the fact that pricing
Every so often, Karen's employer holds a silent auction at work, with the proceeds benefiting local charities. This past Thursday marked another such occasion. Knowing that the money would be going to a good cause, Karen took a quick break from work and went downstairs to check out what was available. Among the items up for bid was a MasterBuilt 7 in 1 Smoker and Grill. Seeing that no one had yet bid on this, Karen put down an offer. She figured that if she won this, she would just give it to me. (Aww, that's very nice of you, sweetie!)Well, guess what? She won the smoker, along with every other item on which she bid. (And she bid on a lot of stuff!) We're going to be over in the neighborhood for a birthday party this weekend, so we'll probably drop by the office to pick up that 50 pound box. With the acquisition of the smoker, we now have four grilling/smoking/BBQ apparatuses between the two of us. In addition to the smoker, we have:A Black Weber 22 1/2-Inch One-Touch Sil
This week's Education Week will report:The inspector general of the U.S. Department of Education has referred some of the information gathered in a lengthy audit of the Reading First program to federal law-enforcement officials for further investigation, he said during a lengthy and contentious hearing today before the House Education and Labor Committee.Inspector General John P. Higgins Jr. told the committee, in response to a question on whether he had recommended any criminal review, that he has made “referrals to the Department of Justice.” He declined to elaborate to reporters at the end of the hearing. The former director of the Reading First program denied in the April 20 congressional hearing that there were conflicts of interest in the implementation of the $1 billion-a-year federal initiative. He also denied that he and other officials and consultants had overstepped their authority in directing states and school districts on the curriculum materials and assessments that
