Since the Chicago White Sox are no longer an option for outfielder Ken Griffey, Jr., the big question out there right now is not if but which team signs Griffey to a contract. As of right now, according to SI.com, Griffey is getting some interest - especially from the Seattle Mariners and Tampa Bay Rays; another American League team and two National League teams are showing interest, as well. It's about that time when people argue which presidential candidate is better. They may feel strongly one way or the other, and if passionate (crazy) enough, volunteer their time or money to the cause.Take my parents, for example. My mom is on the Obama train and my dad is on the Geezer train. She wants the government to dig everyone out of trouble and he wants to blow shit up. It's a classic Demo
Ken Griffey Jr gets traded to the Chicago White Sox to end Major League Baseball's annual trade deadline. Griffey's post-Seattle career has closely followed another athlete, but not in MLB. The NBA's Grant Hill has similar issues, except worse. Hill...
Is Ken Griffey Jr. heading to the White Sox? If he approves the deal he is. Not sure how he fits. Jim Thome, another future Hall-of-Famer, is the DH. Carlos Quentin and Jermaine Dye hold down the corner outfield spots. In center there’s a hole, but when was the last time Junior played there on [...]

Only Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, Willie Mays and Sammy
Today the amazing Ken Griffey Jr. hit career home run number 600. I’ve always been a huge Griffey fan even through all of the injuries and despite the fact that he’s never played on a team that I like.
Ken Griffey Jr in my eyes has always been a very good player and as far [...]
Ken Griffey Jr. finally got his 600th home run tonight but unfortunate for him, it was an away game down in Florida at the empty orange seat ghost town known as Dolphins Stadium. A mere 16K fans turned out in Miami to see the legendary slugger accomplish the feat of a lifetime, that only five [...]

Ken Griffey Jr. became only the 84th player in MLB history to reach 2500 hits as he struck a first inning single against the Braves.
He was up against Atlanta’s John Smoltz with two outs in a scoreless game but Griffey got a defensive shift playing for him to pull. However, he went to the opposite field and hit a easy base shot on the ground into the left field which extended his hitting streak for four games.
Ken Griffey has been an All Star 13 times and he got a career home run No. 587 on Monday night to move past Frank Robinson for sixth place on the all-time list.
Who do you think will be the next MLB player to hit 2500?

Ken Griffey and his sweet swing are now 6th all- time on the Home Run list. Yesterday, Jr. smashed another one into right field in the Red’s 10- 3 victory. It was a classic Griffey swing, with Jr. dropping his bat as soon as he hit it.
Ken Griffey Jr. is inarguably one of the best sluggers of all time. It is scary to think how many more homeruns he could have hit if he was not so injury prone. Griffey is one of the most celebrated baseball players of our time, as he is one of the few sluggers not associated with steroids. He has one of the best swings in the game. Any time he hits a home run, you know it even before it leaves the bat. It is an honor he deserves. Check out the article below for more.

There has been constant Ken Griffey Jr press. There is major hype around Ken Griffey and of course for a reason. He is on fire, and several people even voted on the site poll that they think Griffey would be the all-time HR king if he had stayed healthy throughout his career.
Why so much “hype”?
The other day I had noticed how well Griffey was doing. Multi-hit and multi-homer games. In the newspaper Griffey had become a main focus point everyday.
I figured the Cincinnati Reds must be doing well. Right? Wrong. The Reds are just 30-48, thats only a win percentage of .385, 16 games out of first.
Who really cares how well Griffey is doing if his team is in the cellar? The Reds haven’t had a real contending team in years. The Cincinatti Red haven’t won the division in 10 years (1995)
Who else is hoping Ken Griffey JR will be traded?

I was six years old and already knew what I would do when I grew-up: I was going to be a professional baseball player. In fact, I couldn’t fathom why anybody wouldn’t want to play baseball for a living. During the summer, my dad, brother and I would play catch in the backyard each afternoon. But we didn’t just throw the ball around – my dad would simulate plays from the field to give us practice for our future profession. Ground balls were always my specialty.Around that same time I began collecting baseball cards with my brother, JD. Our allowance was $1 a week, which we took straight to the baseball card shop. If I was smart then I would have kept the cards in their packages, where they would’ve stayed in mint condition and increased in value over the years. But I couldn’t do that – I had to look at them, play with them, memorize them, categorize them. I don’t have an exact count, but I probably own several thousand baseball cards.I knew I was supposed to root for the

So you go to see your beloved Dodgers play against the Cincinnati Reds and you get these kick-ass seats that are pretty close to the action. You then take advantage of said situation by heckling Ken Griffey Jr. to the point where he feels compelled to give you his soiled jock strap. Now there's something to tell the grandkids...Sounds far fetched, but it's exactly what happened to this guy.Well, by the 2nd inning [Griffey] was looking right at me giving me the looks. When he walks in from the 6th inning he decided he had enough and came over to talk some smack. He called me some fat references which was hilarious and then he told me I couldnt touch the threads on his jock...I then told him to show me what he's got, that he talks a big game and then I told him to limp back to the dugout where he belongs and I even said some things about his Mom. I told him I might be fat, but I could still play center field:) It was an incredible exchange to say the least. After the 6th inning he wal
A Dodgers fan involved himself in a battle of banter with Cincinnati Reds star Ken Griffey, Jr. at a recent game from near the Reds dugout at Dodger Stadium. The fun-loving fan was within earshot of Griffey all game long, and posted a blog on his MySpace page detailing the events that took place between the fan and the oft-injured Griffey. So I started with the basics: YOU SUCK..SHOULDN'T YOU BE ON THE D.L...TOO OLD FOR CENTER....that kind of stuff. Well, by the 2nd inninghe was looking right at me giving me the looks. When he walks in from the 6th inning he decided he had enough and came over to talk some smack. He called me some fat references which was hilarious and then he told me I couldnt touch the threads on his jock...This is the point at which this 'conversation' takes a turn for the weird. The fan started heckling for Griffey to "show him what he's got," that Griffey is all talk. After the 6th inning he walks out and stops to talk to me holding a brown paper bag in his ha
If Ken Griffey Jr. is ready to play on opening day, he will be in right field. Cincinnati Reds manager Jerry Narron said Monday he expects to start Ryan Freel in center because Griffey is still working his way back from a broken left hand. The longtime center fielder was injured in the offseason while wrestling with his kids. "Right now, that's what our plan is. We would have loved for him to be available opening day to play center field - it just didn't work out," Narron said. Griffey, a 10-time Gold Glove winner in center, has taken fly balls and made throws from right field in practice. Narron said he was very cautious about deciding to move the 37-year-old slugger from his customary spot. "We had to make a decision. This late in the spring we need to get our club out on the field," he said.Griffey's agent, Brian Goldberg, said his client had known the Reds' plans. "Junior understands the team tells us where he should play, and that's the way it should be," Goldberg said. While
"The Kid" just hit his 600th career home run off Marlins starting pitcher Mark Hendrickson. It's funny cause there was a story on how he wasn't going to give up the 600th. Oh well.
It looks like the Marlins will lose tonight but if there's anything good about this game it's ...
