Hopefully you were able to watch this game on Sunday. What a game it was. The game went into overtime with the Titans winning the coin toss and they won the game with a field goal. The Titans are the real deal.

First off...I love football. I am not a big pro sports guy, but I enjoy all levels of football. From little kids playing Pop Warner, to High School, College and the Pro's, for me there is no better drama in sports.Even though I am no Green Bay Packer fan (Go Cowboys!) I can't help trying seeing parallels in our own career path that we need to understand. For those not following the story; basically

The Brett Favre soap opera took another turn yesterday as FoxSports.com reported that the Packers have filed tampering charges against the Vikings for allegedly contacting Favre during the off-season. The Packers claim that Darrell Bevell, who was an assistant coach with the Packers and is a friend of Favre’s, has been in contact with him during the off-season. Some reports even claim Favre had

Sunday in Soldier Field the Packers and Bears meet in what always is a great rivalry game in the NFL. While last year we all thought that the game between these two in Chicago may have been Brett Favre’s last ever game, this year it’s just the opposite, as Favre is looking to lead the Packers back to the Super Bowl. Green Bay is 12-2, hoping to win their last two and have the Cowboys drop one of their last two in order to have home field for the playoffs. The Bears want to spoil the party, and have already beaten the Pack once, back in week five in Green Bay.
Things have made a big change since then for both teams, as the Pack’s loss was one of just two so far this year, while the Bears since that game have gone 3-6, stopping any thoughts of a defense of their NFC title from a season ago. The Bears problem has really been both sides of the ball, as they are ranked 25th in offense, 29th in defense, and have gone through three QB’s this difficult season.
Romo threw for 309 yards and 4 touchdowns as the Cowboys defeated the Packers 37-27 yesterday night to become the 2nd team to clinch an NFL playoff berth. Crayton caught 2 scoring passes and Folk kicked 3 field goals in Irving, as Dallas won the 2nd meeting between the National Football League teams with 10-1 records in thirty-seven years. Cowboys’ 6th straight win lifted the team ahead of Green Bay atop the NFC with 4 regular- season games left. Dallas can still clinch the NFC East Division title if the NY Giants (7-4) lose at Chicago (5-6) on December 2.
After a very tough NFL football game Thursday night, results were more impressive than we thought. Not only the Cowboys dominated the whole game, but also the Packers lost one of their key players and starting QB: Brett Favre. Favre is injured after this game and it will be hard for him to get back the “starter” position.
With an elbow injury and a separated shoulder, caused by Nate Jones’ hit, Brett Favre had to leave the game on the 2nd quarter and be one more spectator, as Tony Romo took that chance and led the Cowboys to a solid victory 27-37. This proves that there is no way a team like the Green Bay Packers can face Tony Romo without his own star. The bad part is that everyone could see where the Packs’ success is based, and once that is out of the way, they seem more weak and vulnerable.
However, we can’t deny Aaron Rodgers’ performance as the replacement was good enough. He’s not Favre, but did a good try to balance things out for the Packers. But it’
Thursday night’s National Football League showdown between the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys is expected to be one of the best of the season. It will be a treat for the few pigskin fans who will be able to view it. For most everyone else, it will serve as a window into the power struggles within the media business.
The highly anticipated contest marks the first time in 17 years and only the second time in nearly four decades that two teams, each with 10-1 records, have faced off. But instead of a ratings bonanza, the game has become hostage in the ongoing battle between the NFL and some of the nation’s biggest cable operators.
The reason is the league’s own channel, the NFL Network, has exclusive broadcast rights for the game but is not available in roughly two-thirds of the households in the country. Other than satellite subscribers, some cable subscribers or those who purchased premium sports packages, most fans won’t be seeing this matchup from home.
The beat went on for the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving. As in the beatings they have been giving as of late continued, while the Detroit Lions continued their recent trend of getting beat. With Brett Favre making pinpoint passes and finding his recievers all afternoon, and a defense that put the smack down on Lions QB Jon Kitna, the Packers easily moved to 10-1 with a 37-26 over the Lions at Ford Field. Favre threw for 381 yards on 31-of-41 passing with three touchdowns. He fumbled on his first play, but never looked back after that.
It was Favre’s 7th 300+ yard game passing of the season, a team mark he set back in 1995. The win cements the Pack as the best team in the NFC North, as Detroit fell to 6-5 with the loss, four full games back of the Packers with five to play. The win matches the best 11-game mark for the team since 1929. While the Packers know that they are going to be hoisting NFC North Champs t-shirts and hats possibly as early as next week, they still have
The Detroit Lions have lost 3 straight games on Thanksgiving Day; they have been outscored in those contests by a composite of 95-26, and to crown it all, they have lost 5 of the last 6 in their traditional holiday timeslot. The losses, though, were notched in the midst of 6 consecutive losing campaigns for the storied franchise, and this season has been so far a different story for the Lions. Detroit enters Week Twelve as a 6-4 NFL team with a corner on 1 of 2 Wild Card slots in the NFC.
Thanksgiving will be full of excitement, not only for the Holiday itself, but for the great football games that come along with it. Be ready to take the best piece of turkey and watch some NFL action! There will be very interesting matches to watch and bet on, but one that’s creating expectation everywhere is the Packers-Lions game at Detroit.
In 1962, Green Bay faced Detroit on Thanksgiving, just like it’s about to happen. Then, the Packers broke their great winning streak and were defeated by the fierce Lions. Now, history seems to be repeating itself, since the Green Bay Packers had a great start this NFL Season…. the best one since 1962!. However, the results this time could change a bit.
Let’s face it: The Lions’ offense this year is a wreck. They’re just going through a 2-loss phase that doesn’t seem to be fixed quick enough. Even with a solid figure like QB Jon Kitna, there’s not an offensive strategy that appears to be solid as well. Right now there is
Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre has beaten every team in the National Football League except one - you guessed it - the Kansas City Chiefs. Favre will attempt to keep the Packers atop the NFC North when they face the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium this Sunday. I don’t want to assume that Chiefs head coach Herm Edwards is conceding anything but the following statement from him is interesting: “You are not going to stop Brett Favre. He’s going to complete his passes.”
The Packers’ fortunes rest on the arm of Brett Favre (181-of-274, 2,046 yards, 11 TD’s, 6 INT’s), naturally. After all, when your running game is only averaging 71 yards/game, you have no other choice. But there is a glimmer of hope; running back Ryan Grant, who will be the starter this weekend, ran for 104 yards against Denver so perhaps he can continue that effort vs. the Chiefs. What once was a weakness for the Packers has all of a sudden turned into a strength - wide receiv
Max McGee, a Green Bay Packers legendary wide receiver of the 1950's-1960’s, died Saturday, falling from the roof of his home in Deephaven, Minnesota. McGee was clearing leaves from the roof of his home when he fell from the roof to his death. He was 75 years old.
As a wide receiver for 12 seasons with the Packers, McGee caught a pass from Bart Starr and ran for the first touchdown in Super Bowl
The known long-time rivalry between Bears and Packers took place again on Sunday, where Green Bay was defeated at home 27-20 by their arch-enemies. It was a very interesting game to watch and, for the first time in quite a while, the Chicago Bears had the chance of actually feeling satisfied with their offensive strategy. Brian Griese did an amazing job replacing Rex Grossman. Some might say it was too simple, but it worked and in the end that’s what this is about.
For those who didn’t want to take the underdog, yesterday was probably a surprise and a waste of money. Looking at the NFL Standings, particularly in NFC North, you would’ve thought the leaders would crush Chicago since they’re 3rd. But the truth is that Green Bay lost their winning streak and, even if they’re not moving out of 1st place, it doesn’t mean they don’t have to work a lot more.
Still, we understand that many people just couldn’t see that coming. By halftime the Packers were leading the game wi

Green Bay, WI -The Green Bay Bullfrogs, a 2007 expansion team of the premier collegiate Northwoods League, are very pleased to announce the addition of a new Fan Deck to be built at historic Joannes Stadium. 2006 season: 8-8Head Coach: Mike McCathyOffensive Coordinator: Joe PhilbinDefensive Coordinator: Bob SandersPro-Bowl: Donald Driver (WR) and Aaron Kampman (DE).OffenseThe Green Bay packers were one of those up and coming teams due in part to their offense. Brett Favre snapped back from a miserable season last year when he threw a career high 29 interceptions. This year Favre threw for 3,885 yards, 18 touchdowns and just 18 interceptions. Although they aren't stellar numbers they were significantly better than last year. The Packers only real problem on offense was their mediocre running game. Ahman Green bounced back from an injury plagued 2005 season and started 14 games. He rushed for 1,059 yards and 5 touchdowns. Donald Driver had another great season, making 92 receptions for 1,295 yards and 8 touchdowns and capped it off by being selected to the Pro-Bowl. Another key target emerged this season in the form of rookie wide receiver, Greg Jennings. Jennings caught 45 balls for 632 ya
