Oke, kali ini saya akan bahas tentang Gravatar di wordpress. Pasti sampeyan sudah merasakan perubahan di lingkungan wordpress belakangan ini. Dalam kondisi tidak log-in, kita tetap bisa berkomentar dengan menampilkan avatar milik kita. Syaratnya, asal email yang kita gunakan sudah didaftarnya di gravatar (Globally Recognized Avatar). Dahulu saya sudah pernah menulis Setting Identitas di Wordpress di blog Panduan Tidak Resmi Wordpress, yang saya maksudkan untuk menangkal adanya pemalsuan ID. Fasilitas gravatar di wordpress ini tentunya akan semakin memudahkan kita untuk berkomentar dengan menampilkan avatar/gravatar tanpa harus log-in. Automatic es una empresa de del creador de Wordpress el señor Matt Mullenweg que a comprado a Gravatar que es otra empresa que se dedicaba a dar el servicio de avatares,(imagen que esta al lado de los comentarios y foros en cada usuario)lo mas seguro que en poco tiempo mas pase a ser de Wordpress,aprovechando así esta función miles de usuarios,además se promete poder subir imagenes de 128x128 pixeles entre muchas otras funciones. He agregado a los comentarios (gracias a la buena idea de Octavio) la posibilidad de aadir su gravatar en cada comentario que dejen. Les explico rapidn de qu se trata: un Gravatar es una forma de relacionar el e-mail de cada usuario con un avatar que ellos escojan. Un avatar es una imagen que identifica al usuario (en las ventanas del MSN Messenger, exista una imagen para mostrar: eso es un avatar). Estos avatares, aparecern en todos los sitios que lo soporten. Grazie allo script proposto dal grande NowhereMan su SPBItalia ho aggiunto il supporto per l'avatar nei commenti, sfruttando il servizio web Gravatar. Registrandosi viene assegnata una immagine in funzione dell'indirizzo email, utilizzando un formato supportato per la maggior parte dei motori blog esistenti.

Ya son varias las personas que me han preguntado como hacer para que aparezcan íconos al lado de sus comentarios en el blog. En realidad es bastante sencillo, se llaman Gravatars y básicamente asocian una de tus direcciones de correo electrónico a un ícono determinado, de tal manera que cuando dejas tus comentarios en blogs con soporte para Gravatars, automáticamente aparecerá la imagen que selecciones si dejas tu dirección de correo. El servicio estuvo de baja aproximadamente un mes, pero ahora han regresado renovados con la versión 2.0, por lo que ya pueden inscribirse los que aún no tengan un Gravatar, y los que ya lo tienen pueden cambiarlo si es que ya se aburrieron de su ícono actual. El servicio es totalmente gratuito y, como ya indiqué, el único requisito es tener una cuenta de correo electrónico. Si se fijan en cualquier articulo de este blog que tenga comentarios (como este), verán que al lado de cada uno de los comentarios, hay un pequeño cuadrado con fotos, o un cuadrado azul. Pues bien, gravatar es un servicio que permite asociar una foto, con nuestro email. Asi, si usualmente comentan en blogs, y este blog en cuestión tiene soporte para Gravatar, con solo ingresar nuestro mail, veremos la foto que asociamos al servicio en todos los blogs en los que comentemos. El servicio estuvo sin funcionar por un buen tiempo (cerca de 3-4 meses). Pero ahora, nos presentan la versión 2.0 del mismo producto. Ahora, podemos alojar diferentes imágenes por cuenta, además de que también nos deja usar una herramienta de edición (para hacer el corte de la foto).
