Due to a declaration issued by Paris Hilton’s psychiatrist, the heiress’ trial date has been postponed to August 22.
This trial date is related to a $10 Million slander and libel case filed against the heiress by a certain Zeta Graff, reportedly a professional model, actress and film producer. The suit claimed that Paris and others spread “vicious lies” about her that were eventually published in the New York Post.
According to the statement filed by Dr. Charles Sophy, Paris is “not capable of any meaningful participation” in a civil trial. Dr. Sophy also added that Paris is still “emotionally distraught and traumatized” from the May 4 hearing (where she was sentenced to 45 days in the slammers) and that she “cannot effectively respond to examination as a witness or provide any significant input into her defense.”
