Google Ads Collaborate With The Gay Community
I was confused and amused by Google's way of accepting advertisers into their system for publishers to advertise relevant advertisements for relevant contents and keywords. The reason why i am making this post is to urge Google Adsense Team to stop having ads like this on blogs that are totally irrelevant to what my Celebrity blog is talking about.Firstly, I don't talk about gay knowledge on my celebrity blog and i do not have expertise on that. I am sure those keywords that these advertisers have are somehow related to what i was talking about on my blog which is why it appeared and it's insulting.Secondly, I am not sure why ads like these are being promoted on blogs and my initial thought was such ads are offensive and should not be accepted by Google. Correct me if i am wrong because th

On the Inside AdSense Blog, Katie Mandel explained, "While the ads the user initially sees may be relevant to a publisher's content, they may not be precisely what the user is seeking - for example, a user may see ads about cheddar and brie cheese but would prefer more information about Swiss cheese. With the 'next' and 'previous' buttons, users can view more cheese ads until a Swiss cheese ad appears."Of course, with or without the buttons, users can also just leave the site, but since the buttons make this outcome less likely, publishers are likely to embrace their appearance. Maybe not too much - Mandel adds, "You won't generate earnings for clicks on the 'next' and 'previous' buttons" - but at least a little.

Removal of Google Ads from my Sites and the Twists!
You will have noticed a number of the "Google Ads" have been removed from my site. Apparently they "Google Adsense" found fraudulent ad click activity on my site which meant that they have shut down my Adsense account (this is their context based advertising program). I don't know exactly who/what caused this to happen as I have only been generating about $8 of Adsense revenue a month from the site and not some inordinate, large fraudulent amount. Anyway, I have put in an appeal, though from what I have read - Google rarely reinstates accounts once disabled. I will still be moving forward with my blog as monetizing it wasn't my primary reason for starting it. However I do have costs with running this blog and to cover my basic costs I will try and find other sources of revenue, which means you may very occasionally see some sponsored posts. I will keep this to a minimum and on site related topics. The Google Adsense program is the largest out there, but I have bee

INFO : About the Google ads..
We like to keep things transparent to our visitors and to the blogs we're publishing here, so here's some explanation as to why we decided to put Google ads on the Totally Fuzzy blog.As was mentioned before, we'd like to open up our blog, so that independant artists and labels as well as PR agencies working for them can use our platform to reach our visitors.. see here if you missed that first announcement. While talking with several major indie promotors it turned out that the best way for all parties involved might be to use the Google Adwords/Adsense platform. Promotors, as well as indie artists or labels can now simply start a campaign within the Google Advertising system and it will be published on Totally Fuzzy through that system, all very official and transparent, even to the tax office. This solves a lot of issues that were pretty complicated to work out otherwise. The Google system ends up cutting out pretty much all the paperwork that would go along with this kind of stuf

      Google Ads with Rounded Corners
I was over at ProBlogger and came across a post that informed me of a new option Google has given its publishers: your Adsense ads can now have square edges, slightly rounded, or very rounded. Click here to see previews of the three different ad border styles. I think it’s great that Google is giving Adsense publishers more choices in the look and feel of the ads they run. A selection of different border types is not huge a difference, but it never hurts. However, when I use Adsense, I blend the ads into my site and you cannot see the borders at all, so these differently shaped edges would not matter for me. But I can see how this will be very nice for some people whose ads are not completely blended. More options never hurt anybody, and it’s not something to complain about, even if I won’t be using it! What do YOU think about the new slightly rounded and very rounded edge options? Will you be using them, or do you not have borders visible on your Adsense ads you run?

      Google Ads Are Stylin'!
There are a few new options being offered to those of who apply Google Adsense to our web sites and blogs. We can now change the shape of the borders in our ads. You have your choice of square, slightly rounded or very rounded ad borders. Although, they lend a pleasing look to the ad, I'm still against using borders at all. I like to blend my ads into the content and using a border makes them stand out more. Still, some people have success with bordered ads, so you may want to give it a shot. Set up a channel to test your results.Nonetheless, those option are now there for the taking if you choose. Click here for more info. Here's to your success!Tony

      Do Google ads make sense?
I have been thinking about adding Google Adsense to my websites for a while. My first problem was I wasn’t able to do it myself. Google claims it is easy to install but I didn’t find this to be the case for me. I’d to wait until my son, my IT expert, had free time during his Easter Holidays to do it for me. My other concern was the ads would affect the look and quality of my site. My son installed Adsense to European Cultural & Activity Tours first. The ads that came up were spot on, completely in context. However when he moved on the Europe a la Carte blog it was a different story. The first two ads which appeared were for make-up and for taps and sinks, totally unrelated to the blog. However during the day the ads seem to have become more contextual. I’m hoping this will continue to be the case. When you visit a website or a blog, do you find the ads annoying? Or are they sometimes useful to you? Are you a webmaster who uses Google Adsense, how have

The Best Placement Of Google Ads in Your Blog or Web Site
You have to know the best placement of Google Ads or Adsense codes in your blog. You have to place your Google Ads in the areas where the visitors normally click the links in your web site or blog page. Based on my experience and on the recommendation of Google, here are the areas where you should place your Google Ads or Adsense codes:The boxes above are numbered 1 to 4. 1 is for the strongest performance while 4 is the weakest. They are also colored by Google from dark orange to light yellow in the same order (strongest to weakest).Type of Google Ads To Place In The BoxesVisitors action is also affected by the size and type of Google Ads you place in your page. Normally, text ads perform better than images. But, let's talk about the sizes of Google Ad you could put in the boxes. In Box 1, you better place the large rectangular Google Ads with the width ranges from 300px to 336px. In long horizontal boxes, you better place horizontal Ads with width of 728px. If not fit, you may use th

You Can Now Click On Your Own Google Ads!
Google's AdSense is currently a popular service on the Internet because it helps users earn money by placing ads on their websites. Every time a user visits the site and clicks on a Google ad, a certain amount of money is transferred into your account so, more users, more money. Because the service works with financial data, it imposes several terms of service to registered clients that must avoid infringing them or they can get their account banned. One of the most known rules is that users are not allowed to click on their own Google ads because the search giant records the user's IP and, if it's similar with the owner's, it represents a click fraud. Some time ago, the company released another type of adverts meant to increase their appearance but also display more products and an attractive commercial for a specific solution. Google Video Ads is not being implemented to a limited number of users but some of them are now encountering some simple issues with the adverts. In a d

      Bye bye Google ads
I received one of the dreaded "Your Google AdSense account has been disabled" emails today. I received a warning email many months ago, but today they finally disabled it. The email I received looks like the standard email they send when disabling an account - I've seen these emails posted on blogs in the past. They are claiming invalid clicks were detected. This would either be me clicking on my own ads (which I didn't do), or someone visiting this site may have been clicking ads too much (possible I guess). Either way, from what I understand, they will not show me the data proving the invalid clicks were taking place. I can appeal if I want to, but I probably won't. As you can see, I have Yahoo ads up now. I started with their ad program several months back, but I didn't keep the ads on the site for long back then. I just put them back up, so it may take awhile for the ads to target properly and settle in. I'm going to give them another try and see how it goes. Rich
