Google May Let Users Comment On, Rearrange Search Results
Google is considering allowing users of its search engine to tinker with query results by re-ranking them and commenting on them. The company has already run public tests on its search-results pages that contain up and down arrows next to listed links, as well as buttons that allow users to append comments to results. continue reading

Google May Need To Modify Keyword Policy To Attract More Brand Dollars
Google wants to attract more brand advertising dollars in search. However, it also allows marketers to bid on trademarked or branded terms they don't own or control so long as those keywords are not part of the ad copy. This practice so far passes legal muster in the US (although there's ongoing litigation). Google recently modified its keyword bidding policies in the UK and introduced this more l

      Google May Come to Malaysia
Google is recently considering Malaysia as one of the possible locations to house their so-called ‘world’s biggest server farm’, with news covered in major newspapers like Bernama and NST few months back. Apart from Malaysia, India and Vietnam were also taken into consideration. A server farm is a group or cluster of server computers (or super [...]

Google may be great at building stuff…
...but they're rubbish at offering a consistent user experience (IMHO). When using services from one organisation as a user I expect or at least anticipate some level of consistency with things like navigation and layout. However, Google seem intent on doing their own thing product by product.

Google may bid for 700 MHz wireless spectrum in January 08
WSJ have reported that Google are set to apply to bid for the 700MHz spectrum in the January Federal Communications Commission. There have been rumours that Google were interested in the wireless spectrum and this latest report confirms them. Apparently, Google are set to bid low on purpose so they won’t actually win the bid, but will place pressure on the FCC. Google obviously aren’t silly. They know if they build their own mobile network they’ll run into trouble with their current partners AT&T, Sprint Nextel and T-Mobile. Google May lose It’s Name!
We all know that Google is our friend. But, do we know that where that name ‘Google’ came from? Well read the story below to know the secret behind it –> A Chinese company is suing Google’s China subsidiary for copying its name, saying the U.S. search engine’s registered Chinese name is too similar to its own and has harmed its operations. A spokesman for Beijing Guge Science and Technology Ltd. Co. said Google’s commercial name had led to the company being constantly disturbed by people calling up its office trying to contact the search engine. “We just want Google to change their commercial name,” Tian Yunshan, a company official, told Reuters on Friday. “We have already passed our demands on to Google … We will see what happens in court.” The search engine’s Chinese name — a transliteration of the English word “Google” — was also used in Beijing Guge’s commercially registered name, Tian said. People searching for Google through a loc

Google May Bid in Wireless Spectrum Auction
Today Google announced it intends to participate in the federal government’s upcoming auction of wireless spectrum in the 700 megahertz (MHz) band should the Federal Communications Commission adopt a framework requiring greater competition and consumer choice. This is a threat to cell phone providers; Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.  There are many clues as to Google's future with wireless:Last November, Google's CEO Eric Schmidt stated that he sees a future where mobile phones will be free to users who accepts advertising on their handsets. Last March, we reported that it was rumored that Google is working on launching their own cell phone. Last April, we reported that Sina.com reported that Google will release its first cell phone by the end of this year or early next year.

Top 10 Reasons Why Google May Penalize You

Getting a Google ban is more like getting a life sentence in jail where you are alive but you life has no more meaning. Reasons Why Google May Penalize You Google Penalty is the practice of black listing a particular site or blog. It is considered as a very big punishment for webmasters and is done to keep the Internet clean and free of bad sites. To ensure your blog does not get penalized by Google make sure you read all of them and avoid perpetrating them. 1. Short-Term Domain Registration This is one of the most controversial reasons that supports the fact of Google Penalty. Buying/Selling Links? Google May ban you from their indexes
This is true, a wake up call for all those who are earning by selling or buying links. This all those participating in Advertising Programs like Text-Link-Ads. This is an effort to stop buying Google Pagerank which is mainly based on incoming external links. The paid links reporting form is directly available in the dashboard of Google SitemapsHow will Google punish?A complete exclusion from Google´s SERPs is only one possible consequence of a spam report. Google might also choose to give a site a "yellow card" so that the site can not be found in the index for a short time. However, if a webmaster ignores this signal, then a "red card" with a longer-lasting effect might follow. So it's possible that Google is already aware of an issue and communicating with the webmaster about that issue, or that they have taken action other than a removal on a spam report. Are you the first to be punished? You can still send your Application for reconsiderationBut you can still sell links by-Adding

Google may launch YouTube for Europe
Google Inc. is gathering some of its top executives in Paris next week for an international press conference and speculation is rife that announcements will include a local version of YouTube for European countries. France 24, a French public TV channel, confirmed Friday that it has been in talks with Google, suggesting the search giant may be lining up local content for its video-sharing service. Google’s YouTube events calendar pegs Tuesday — the day of the press conference — for an unspecified “Paris launch.” A Google spokeswoman in France declined to comment on the France 24 talks or speculation about local versions of YouTube. YouTube is already popular in Europe despite having only an English language interface. Offering local language versions, along with more local TV content, could help it compete more effectively with homegrown alternatives, said Bob Ivins, managing director of comScore Europe. France’s most popular video site is DailyMotio
