Have you ever heard of photojournalists or photographers that go by the names of Alfred Eisenstaedt, Gjon Mili, and Nina Leen?

I finally went ahead and moved my main photo web site from
www.ni-photos.jmcwd.com
to
www.irishviews.com
using a '301 redirect'.
This went well with regards to standard search results.
Unfortunately 'Google Image Search' has now (a few weeks later) dropped the search results for ni-photos.jmcwd.com but not yet got round to replacing them with the identical irishviews.com search results.

I was just doing an image search using Google Images and saw a sponsored image result. I don’t even think the everyday person has access to doing this kind of advertisement with Google AdWords:
Last May Google announced that it would begin experimenting with display ads on its popular Image Search, which it has largely been unable to monetize - in 2006 the company estimated that it was missing out on $200 million a year because it wasn’t including ads in search results, and that number has almost certainly gone up since then.

I thought I’d run a search for Wii Injuries and struck some interesting results. For some reason searching for “Wii Injuries” (which I’m now thinking could have resulted in some pretty disturbing stuff) yielded *almost* no Nintendo related results. In fact, the top two were actually animal injuries while the third and fourth were Marvel heroes The Black Widow and Corsair.
Random.

Many people hate the new design of Google Image Search and want the old one back. It's pretty easy to do that, as Google shows the classic design if you disable JavaScript. But here's a way to disable JavaScript only for Google Image Search.FirefoxGo to your Firefox profile. For Windows XP, go to Start/Run and type:%appdata%/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/Then click on your profile's folder and open user.js in Notepad (if you can't find it, create a blank text file named user.js). Add these lines at the end of the file:user_pref("capability.policy.policynames", "nojs");user_pref("capability.policy.nojs.sites", "http://images.google.com");user_pref("capability.policy.nojs.javascript.enabled", "noAccess");You should replace images.google.com with your localized version (for example: images.google.co.uk).Then restart Firefox.OperaIf you use Opera 9 and you want to return to the old design:* go to Google Images* right-click and select "Edit site preferences"* go to the Scripting tab* uncheck
