It is the ‘mail exchange’ record abbreviated as ‘MX record’. It is basically an entry in the DNS (domain name system) record which is responsible for handling emails for a domain name. This week, Google introduced a new version of their hosted Apps called Google Apps Premier Edition aimed at businesses for $50 per user, per year. What you get for the $50 is GMail, Google Talk, Google Calendar, Docs & Spreadsheets, Page Creator and Start Page. Also, you get 10GB per account of Email storage and an option on relevant text-based ads alongside email. They also claim 99.9% uptime and 24/7 user support. I also saw that they are partnering with Avaya to provide an integration of some of their services into the Google Apps.
