I always like putting good news into this blog and this news is very good.Brenda Martin was held for two years in a Mexican jail without a trial. Many Canadian protested her treatment including myself and demanded her release. After much political wheeling and dealing which included getting Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, involved, she was released to a Canadian prison a couple of weeks ago.Yesterday, she was released on parole.The Mexican political and judical system saved face by declaring Martin guilty despite evidence to the contrary.You're never alone in this world as long as you have friends and Brenda has many of them. Even though it is not a far walk to the doctor, I was sure glad when Pedro and Charlie stopped to give me a ride. Pedro said there was a change in plans for tomorrow night the pasta cook off is going to be held off until next week and that British High Commissioner John Yapp is supposed to be there instead.When I got to the doctor the waiting room was empty and I got seen right away. When we visited my MIL today, her drain was out and so far everything is good. The Physical Therapists helped Mom to the bathroom because she no longer had the catheter in her. She also walked a little bit and finally sat in a chair. She could not believe how exhausted she was afterwards. The PT's will be doing this with her twice a day until she gets the ok to go home. She will need some home care just to make sure all her vitals are ok, otherwise she should be just fine. Her sister is flying in from Washington State to help her for a while. I can get my car fixed which desperately needs it, I can get it inspected so I'll finally be 100% legal, and also, the money will more than cover my overdue bills. I haven't been online for almost 4 days, since my mom has been out of town with our friend Jim for his surgery. I'm behind on all our work, but I'm taking a break to tell you about Jim and to say "YAY!! Churchill is home from the vet and he's going to be fine!!"It's good news all around ... because Jim's surgery went well and he didn't have a bone tumor in his foot after all! It was gout, and there was a big mass of uric acid crystals that only looked like a tumor on his x-rays and MRI. The surgeon removed the mass and some of the bone that had been eroded by the crystals, but it was a much simpler surgery than we expected, and Jim is going to be fine after a short time on crutches with a throbbing foot. But I'm still trying to figure out why he didn't bring those crystals home to me so I

Today is a day of some really good news that will help the people that find themselves faced with foreclosure and cannot find a solution to save their home by using one the plans that have been created for those that meet a certain criteria and they were not able to do a workout with the lender(s).If the homeowners find that there are no workout plans that fit them and they have to seek a short sale approval and if they are lucky enough to get an approval for the short sale, they now do not have to worry about the difference between what the actually owe the lender and what they were able to sell the home for. This is called debt forgiveness.  With this law, they are truly forgiven. This law will ease the after shock of losing your home and then finding yourself owing the IRS that difference ~~~ the debt will be fully forgiven ~~ if that homeowner is in hardship.                &nb
