Afterward the grappling competitions were still going on and I watched some hard-fought matches in the gi and no-gi rings. Some things I noticed...It was well-attended. So, labors there are wishing, I hope there will be no Labor's day at all, since seem its useless. Here in Michigan, particularly, the Labor Day is in the month of September, but my husband could take a weeks off though with pay, and it is more better than in the Philippines. Some people are very helpful while there are others wouldn't help their grandmas.Good for me I had someone from the first group to save me. Today I had my regular appointment to see my endocrinologist. It was time to check my glucose levels and thyroid hormone levels. My computer died a virus took it out, ooops but I had another as a backup. That's how much of a geek I am, I'd just purchased a used one off of someone. Well, that backup is giving me a bit of grief (USB issues, software issues, etc.), nothing I can't figure out, but grief is grief. I left the apartment at 8:30, with plenty of time to spare even with having to park far away. Then I got stopped by freight trains - twice! I pass two train tracks on my way to work and there was a train at both of them this morning! The second time I was the first car in line, so it was an extra long delay. I could have pushed through and risked crossing when the lights were flashing but the posts hadn't come down, but I thought it better not to push my luck like that. And I am glad I didn't. A bad day fishing beats a good day at work
I managed to get the week off work and made plans with my old man to fish our local harbor today. Even though everything seemed right we just couldn't take a trick and the day ended with a quick run back to the boat ramp to beat one of the tropical storms we get. The fishing was slow and even though we caught a few fish they were all very small. Sometimes fishing is like that though and the uncertainty and challenge is what makes it fun. Most anglers have heard the saying a bad day fishing beats a good day at work, but what I want to know is if you stand by this saying or not? Well, it started out good. Ended crappily. I posted about it on Tip Tail, my dog blog, since it’s dog related more than anything. I am getting ready for bed but what an awful emotional stressful thing it was, watching a dog get hit by a car. I have to say that I thank the gods for Zoloft. If it wasn’t for the meds I would be a complete, utter wreck. I still am very shaken and miserable, been crying off and on for the better part of the day. The Zoloft keeps my brain in check. I love the stuff. I don’t know how I functioned with out it. And tonight I’ll take my sleeping meds so I won’t lay in bed and run over the images again and again and again. I can’t believe I didn’t look away. I remember thinking to myself, look away, look away, but my head didn’t turn. I was stunned and aghast. I think sleep will help me tonight. I hope so, anyway. Needless to say I didn’t get the Christmas shopping done that I wanted to.

The coqui ranges length ranges between 15mm-80mm in length and be green, brown and yellowish. The frog gets its name from the distinct evening call ‘koo-kee’ of the male coqui. The sound resonates all around the island, as early evening sets. If you have ever been to Puerto Rico, you will have heard the coqui… The coqui has been a threatened species since 1977 and continuing deforestation and industrial development have destroyed the fogs habitat. The good news for the coqui is that this week the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Tuesday designated rocky stream banks and privately owned land in southeastern Puerto Rico as critical habitat for a threatened species of the coqui. September 24. 2007 The Moon starts off in a Grand Trine with the planet of action, Mars and the planet of communication, Mercury, indicating a window of opportunity this morning to communicate your plan of action. The kink in this would be the New Libra sun making its entrance today. Libra wants to think things over, talk it over, and well, put things off as long as it can. This will cause some friction with the powers that be, who just want to get “right down to it”, so if you find yourself under the calming influence of the Libra Sun, shake it off and get moving! Fortunately for us, the Pisces moon is in harmonious relationship to the planet of work and responsibility, so we will all do just fine, as long as we keep our nose to the grindstone! astrology, horoscopes, zodiac, Moon

That being said, I think it is coming upon it's biggest hurdle yet, the 2625 area. I think if it gets by that area, it will have officially broken the downtrend line that began in mid July. That area also represents major resistance, as the NASDAQ has failed to breach it twice since mid July.So next week will be very interesting, and possibly very profitable. We'll see.

It’s Good Day for a Hike
I dated this great guy in college. Without sounding cliché, he really was a nice and considerate guy. Things were never that serious, but I remember hoping that it would be. That summer when we dated, he went on a family trip to Las Vegas. (Red light, red light. Who takes a family trip to Vegas? In the summer no less.) I saw him off that day with a casual lunch and and we planned to speak when he returned in a few days. Like clockwork, he called the afternoon he got back and asked me to go on a hike. Of course I said yes and even told a few of my roommates how nice it was to finally be dating someone who was eager to go out and do things at random times for no reason at all. It was a fairly short hike, maybe an hour total, but about 20 minutes into the hike he said, “So have I ever told you about my last girlfriend?” He began to tell the story of their off and on relationship and how throughout their relationship she had also grown close to his family, which is why she went to Las

A Good Day (and the merits of Baseball)
Sometimes I like a little lo-fi, out of focus/poorly exposed photography. It's art.Looks like shit on this computer, though. I'm in a coffeeshop via the miracle of the borrowed laptop. Eating a bagel, drinking water because I can no longer handle coffee. But I still like to hang out at coffee places. I should've brought some headphones, though, because I don't really like what this guy is playing. It's like adult-contemporary indie or something.Anyway, so today I had a very good day working. No anxiety. Brought some money in directly. Brought in some clients. It was just very good all the way around, and most of it is due to that database I've been talking about so much. Should've done that much, much earlier. So tonight's plan is to work, work, work, and more work. I smell blood now and will be going in for the kill during the next two weeks. No more aimlessness. I start every morning with a plan and will execute it to a fault. So, uh, and I'll watch some beisbol

22 Years Alive, It's Gonna Be A Good Day
Today is my birthday, and so far I couldn’t have asked for a better one.Within 10 minutes of waking up I already had 2 birthday cards and 1 text message wishing me a grand ol’ time today. If that’s not cause for a smiling frenzy, I don’t know what is. And it hasn’t stopped there, I’ve also had co-workers stop by my cubbyhole, text messages, a few emails and even a couple of IMs – all within the last 2 hours.Seriously, if I didn’t know any better I’d say there’s a neon light above me flashing “BIRTHDAY BIRTHDAY!”(I looked up, only dust and fluorescent lighting)I’m thankful to have made it another year, and it’s gone by so fast. It’s hard to believe I waited that long to be 21 and now, BAM, I’m 22. As odd as it sounds, it feels different. I mean, when someone says – “Hey, I’m 21.” You think, “Damn kid is going to get wasted like a mofo.” But 22, oh 22 is so much more mature, well at least 365 days more mature. I’m like a fine wine, aging w

      Good Day
Good morning guys! This morning, we have a very good weather so I brought dear daughter outside and let her play for a while. We just came back and here we are waiting for our food to be done. I decided to warm up some leftovers from last night. As always, I'm too lazy to cook...Anyway, hope all of you have a great day!

      Today was a good day
Why? Well first, I woke up to find that this blog had been indexed by Google. Second, we converted on our first affiliate offer. Making bank for the first time is a great feeling. Also, now that I’ve fixed or figured out some of the wordpress bugs that we had, I can get to posting some of the real meat. Don’t get me wrong, there’s still a lot more I can set up with this blog, and a lot more I can learn about the wordpress software, but I think we’re OK for now. Now it’s time to register some more domains and put our ideas to work.

      Good day, bad day.
Good day: Spending the day kitty shopping/kitty adopting with Ross.Bad day: Spending the day sleeping when I should be at Warped Tour because I am so incredibly exhausted and sick-feeling.Yesterday was pretty much amazing. Ross and I went to the St. Paul humane society to look at the kitties. I had a feeling that once we got there, he wouldn't be able to resist the adorableness that would surround us. After viewing the kittens, we made a round or two with the adult cats. I figured he'd want to take a few out and play with them in the cat visiting rooms, but rather than do that he decided he wanted a kitten. He seemed to have already picked out the very first kitten we saw.Her name at the shelter was Lil' Homie. The sign said she was short-hair, but judging by how fluffy she was the shelter volunteer said there was no way she would be a short-hair when she grew up. Ross and I held her and pet her for awhile before he finally had made up his mind. This was the one. This eight week old

      Good Day and Grrrrrrrr.... 7/27/2007
I am blogging this just as I get out of bed on a Saturday morning. I hope it makes sense. I really get frustrated with myself when I get to focused on one thing and miss a bunch of other things. As I have written before, I love trading the steel stocks - mainly AKS, NUE and MT. Even thou the market was a mess, it seems like people buy AKS most Friday morning thinking it will be the next steel to be taken over. As you can see in the above chart, it had a perfect buy setup. I like to trade them when I can get a risk of 10 cents or so, thinking I could make 30 to 50 cents. On Friday, this sucker ran two full points. A plus 20r trade. Grrrr...Above is the YM futures again. It is crazy, but I had really not traded the stock index futures much since 1987. When I started day trading last year, from time to time, I would try pulling a few inter day ticks not of the QQQQ's. That was one big PITA. Once I became Blogger friends with MT, he convinced me that trading the Mini's were muc

      Not a Good Day
The market got crushed, which in turn really hammered AATI. Additionally, ACTS fell into the close, and reversed it's MACD bullish crossover. If the stock does not rise up tomorrow, it will no longer look good technically. It is borderline at the moment. AATI will need to hold $9.55 tomorrow, or it will be in the same boat. Here's to a market rally tomorrow!

A Good Day to Own Oil Stocks (and My Monday Trades)
With COP up $3 today on the announcement of $15 Billion in stock buy-backs between now and the end of 2008, it feels like a good time to share my incredibly simple reasoning for owning oil stocks:It's because oil companies can best maximize shareholder value by doing as little as possible. And what's easier to do than nothing? The price of oil and the resulting profits of oil companies increase the more scarce the resource is. And how can major oil companies ensure scarcity of the product that ultimately determines their profits and share price and eventually the size of the bonuses received by senior management? Do nothing (or at least as little as possible). Don't drill for more oil and don't push for more refineries to be built and don't start new exploration in politically risky parts of the world. In short, don't spend money on risky capital projects that, if successful, will simply increase the supply of oil and thereby contribute to a decrease in the price of oil. And, given

      a good day in H&M
I have a love-hate relationship with H&M. Sometimes I find very cute, simple dresses and tops. Other times it all seems a bit grungy, a bit studenty. But today was good: a very chic black shift/smock minidress - very flattering, very 60s. Great with chunky bracelets and big sunnies, and it's just crying out to be worn with mary-janes and black opaques in Autumn. Another good purchase was a very cute A-line natural-waist white denim skirt, knee-length, to go with a zebra-print halter top (note to self - must not wear with pink bra underneath a la Ms Beckham this week). Another interesting piece I found was an off-white knee-length semi-pencil skirt - with a very high waist, metal buttons up the front, and two pleated strands up the pockets. I tried it on, liked it, but then wondered what to wear it with? I tried a pink gingham halter top. A bit too country. Then I tried a cream satin short-sleeved collared shirt from the Madonna range. I think that worked pretty well, actually. In

      Good Day, Bad Day
The first part of yesterday was pretty fabulous. At around 11am I met up with Rob, and we headed out to the Bullo Dong tombs (which are essentially located behind the Daegu airport, if you're interested). The Bullo Dong tombs are giant earthen mounds which house the remains of the royalty who ruled this area in the 5th and 6th centuries. While I'd been to the Bullo Dong tombs back in 2004, I

A Good End to a Good Day
I almost went to bed, but then, something very odd caught my attention – something so unusual, so rare, and so precious: SILENCE Besides the cool air blowing quietly through the vents, and the soft tapping of my fingertips on the keyboard, I hear nothing. My husband and two of the little crew are gone for the night. The one left home is sleeping. Even the area dogs are quiet. I didn’t want to

      Good day of Poker
Well this sunday I had the 5th Street forum game in the morning and our family game in the evening.I started out well in the 5th Street game by winning it and getting my 3rd star on the forum. However I have to say luck was with me on that game. I can think of two occasions when my all-in was saved on the turn or river and I doubled up when I really should have been busted. And then in the heads-up with skinski I got to the flop with Q9 and put out a hefty continuation bet. If I remember right, Earl came back over the top of me and had me I was pot commited by then and had to call the all-in. Earl showed Ax with the x being paried on the flop. I was drawing to a Queen or nine and managed to catch one on the turn to take the tournament. Then in the family game we only had a field of five but I was running good. The cards were falling incredibly nicely for me and I had a large chip advantage when we were down to three. My younger brother then felted my dad with a very nicely slowplayed nu

      Good day
The day was pretty cool. Enjoyed the holiday by spending time with family, lauging, joking and all that good stuff. One of my aunts try to push a button by asking me when am I getting married. She damn well know we dont get along and she was just trying to embarrass me. Its always that one bad apple who wants to ruin the party. I just laughed it off and went out to the porch. Back then she used to erk my nerves but now I just go in another room because I know I am young and capable of smaking the black off her ass leaving skin and bone. How freaky would that look huh? Im not going to prision because of some old loney heffa. So anyways, I ate like a pig "oink" ...No spoil stories to tell this time. Im quite sure my puppets were spending money on their moms. A Good Day
Yesterday one of the mare's that I'm foaling out had a very handsome stud colt. He is one of Spider Oak' s colts so of course I'm going to think so. One problem, the mare had a "dummy foal" the first time she foales and it turns out this one was too. Tonight he latched on to his mama and nursed on his own. It is truly a good day! My wonderful boyfriend did most of the mare milking and feeding of this colt while I slept to go to my full time job. As if raising horses isn't! So after dealing with this I had to do a little research and found out he had a very mild form of neonatal maladjustment syndrome, that is the most common of the scientific names. All and all it still scares a person. I cannot stress enough about the importance of making sure the foal is truly nursing. We had someone check the mare thru the day because I was fairly certain she was going to foal. They heard him suck and his head was in the right spot, only it was the bag he was sucking on not the nipple. She h
