PGA Tour golfer Tripp Isenhour has been officially charged with killing a hawk while filming the TV show "Shoot Like A Pro". Isenhour allegedly killed the bird because it was making noise, disturbing filming.Isenhour claims the killing was an accident, saying he had just wanted to scare the hawk away when he shot golf balls at it from 300 yards. According to video footage, "About the sixth ball came very near the bird's head," which excited Isenhour.Charges of animal cruelty and killing a migratory bird carries a maximum of a 14 month jail sentence and US$1,500 in fines. I just wanted to let readers know that I will be back out of hibernation soon.  I had been focused on three papers for my MBA classes for the last few weeks.  I was quite interested in two of the papers and they took me quite a long time.  It is amazing how different it feels to do school that is relavant to my goals.  Both papers will pay dividends in the future.  I will be back full force in the next day or two. Saving money is about finding cheap ways to entertain yourself. Well, of course, after paying for life's necessities. I hold that golf can be one of those cheap forms of entertainment. And, what's more, the worse you are at golf, the greater its entertainment value. More on that in a minute.To begin with, if you go to a municipal course, golf is not tragically expensive. Near my home, 18 holes can be played for around $15-$20. Of course, golf also requires clubs. All you really need, though, is a starter set. Those come fairly cheap. Alternatively, you could probably pick up an old set VERY cheap at a garage sale. The problem for bad golfers comes in the form of golf balls. Even "experienced" golf balls can get expensive when a round might set you back eight balls or so. So, golf is not a "cheap" sport when all is said and done, but it is not too expensive if you play at the right places. Plus, golf is decent exercise - especially if you carry your clubs.Now to say a bit
