Brad Guzan: MLS Goalkeeper of the Year
Brad Guzan of Chivas USA won the MLS Goalkeeper of the Year award. The award was determined by votes of the media, MLS players and MLS coaches and general managers. He led the voting ahead of the Houston Dynamo’s Pat Onstad and the New England Revolution’s Matt Reis. “It’s an honor to have been chosen Panasonic Goalkeeper of the Year,” said Guzan. “I want to thank my parents, my coaches and Chivas USA’s passionate fans for their support. I especially want to thank my Chivas USA teammates, with whom I share this award, because it is our work together as a group that has allowed us to succeed this season.”

This one contradicts what Soccer Source readers were saying via the polls. Over 80% of you voted for Cobi Jones, perhaps wishing to send him into retirement with this well-deserved
