Global Underground has a new compilation in the pipeline. Titled GUMixed, the massive 3xCD collection will be released in mid-May.
GUMixed acts as a follow up of sorts to the label's 10th anniversary retrospective compilation GU10. Mixed in-house, the first two discs include loads of fresh and upfront tracks, featuring material from Spirit Catcher, Aril Brikha, Slam, Trentemoller, Oliver Koletzki, Bent, Ex-Orbital's Paul Hartnoll, Francesco Farfa, and others.
Due to the well received reception of the last album, GUMixed also comes with a bonus 3rd mixed CD with some of the classic tunes from the late 80s and early 90s. Ali Shirazinia (aka Dubfire) is one-half of Grammy award winning and four-time nominated duo Deep Dish. He will release his first ever mix album via Global Underground titled “Dubfire GU031 - Taipei”.
According to a press release, the mix will feature songs and remixes by Depeche Mode, Carl Craig, Carl Craig and many others including exclusive Dubfire remixes and his new single “I Feel Speed”.
“This mix is more about who I am, as opposed to Deep Dish. This is an extension of all my influences from day one and where my head is at currently. I’ve always been about pushing the envelope musically and anytime there’s a new sound, I’m paying attention.” -Dubfire, February 2007

When one thinks of Afterhours, one thinks of music without boundaries. One thinks of diversity, and genre defiance: a time and place where stylistic limitations are lifted, and the DJ is given a blank canvas with which to paint his or her musical picture on. There is no prescription for mood or tempo. There is no requirement for the music to be contemporary, or inline with current trends or fads.
