Mobile operator O2—Apple's iPhone partner in the UK—said the level of demand for the device caused its credit checking system to slow down across the country, forcing it to process some customers manually. The problem also meant Carphone Warehouse—the other retail outlet for the device in the UK, along with Apple and O2—had to switch to its own systems. Despite the countrywide slowdown, an

Microsoft Corp was criticized on Tuesday for being slow to resolve problems in the technical documentation it was required to provide to rival software makers as part of its 2001 antitrust settlement. The problems were a major part of discussions at a hearing held to review Microsoft's compliance with the pact that settled findings the company had abused its dominance in personal computer operat

Mac Audio Glitches: Serato Reports; Avoid 10.5.2, AirPort For Now - As more readers send in reports, the picture looks something like this: both Mac OS X 10.5.2 and an AirPort update for Tiger are suspect in problems causing audio dropouts and other issues on some (not all) recently-updated Macs. Serato is joining Native Instruments in saying 10.5.2 is "officially unsupported." At the same time, a [...] More: continued here Other Review: Psychotic Reactions and Carburetor Dung: The Work of a Legendary Critic: Rock'N'Roll as Literature and Literature as Rock 'N'Roll (Paperback)

if you switch weapons really fast and shoot at the same time (crazier if you have all weapons cheat on), some crazy things will happen. If you shoot the tazer as you quickly switch by it and shoot another gun, the laser wherever you shot it will stay their, if you walk into it you'll get stuck, but you can still switch weapons, and if you switch back to the tazer it will go away.Sometimes if you do this trick with the flamethrower the noise from it will stay, and the next time you switch to it you will automatically catch on fire.

After mounting complaints from justified gamers, Rockstar on Friday said it would fix all problems related to the Xbox 360 version of Bully."We are very aware of the problems some people have been experiencing with the Xbox 360 version of Bully: Scholarship Edition and have been doing everything within our powers to resolve these issues as quickly as possible," the company said in a statement."We will be releasing a title update through Xbox Live within the next week that we are confident will rectify the problem, and we apologize wholeheartedly for the inconvenience that this matter has caused some owners of the game."Immediately after release on Tuesday, disgruntled gamers found that Bully on Xbox 360 frequently froze, sounded poopsky, and suffered from an excruciatingly slow frame rate,
OK it is time for an update. We are having a fine old time in Bristol. Our legs have become strong, like Isambard Kingdome Brunelle's pistons, powering up and down the hills of the city. There is however, so much to sort out. The internet for example, at the moment it has to be mobile, so that we can take it with us, wherever we go. We are not staying in the garrett for long thats for sure. Along with a new internet system comes many glitches, for example I havnt sorted out my mailing for my painting blog, so everyone on my list, I hope, will be patient. The flat is minging, horrible, a stinky little hovel. It has some redeming features which are as follows...Number one, the view. The view is great, right out accross the city, it is possible to watch the different moods that different times o
I'm not sure but is glitches the same as bugs? I must say that I don't feel like glitches in this game is a problem at all. The creators have done a great job on this last halo game, there will always be some glitches here and there, but they aren't annoying in this case I think. This video also contains some cool tricks that looks incredible cool, watch this!
The long awaited and much anticipated launch of the latest version of the Mac OS X operating system, codenamed Leopard, has resulted in the usual round of craziness from Apple’s adoring fans. Early adopters camped outside stores to be first in the queue, and what a queue it was! Early estimates suggest that around 9 percent of OS X users upgraded to Leopard in the first couple of days of it going on sale, and at $129 a pop that’s a welcome boost to the Apple coffers.
There’s been a fair amount of excitement surrounding the launch but the claimed 300 ‘New’ features have been widely dismissed as hype, and one or two commentators have pointed out that a couple of them bear an uncanny resemblance to features in Windows Vista, which Leopard is clearly designed to challenge. Here is one of many glitches that we found. Some glitches we know can not be controlled, but a 3 year piece of work for a next-gen console we think should have a little less glitches. Don’t take this wrong. We rated Halo 3 9.5/10, we are just putting it out there that there are many glitches to the game. I guess what we are getting to is maybe Bungie should work on some patches. They are apparently working on new maps for Halo 3 and maybe, just maybe, they are working on patches too (Most likely Not).
But look on the bright side. Don’t think of those glithes that make you want to throw your Xbox out your window, think of the fun ones. Not all glitches are bad. In fact, most of them are quite amusing.
If you are looking for a fun glitch to do, then maybe try this.
Steps:
1. Invite a friend to a game of Forge and chose Sandtrap
2. Both of you get into 2 different Elephants (The Huge vehicle)
3. Both of you meet in the middle between the two pyramid-like structures fa

Expanding (or is that expounding) on a recent Silicon.com article. IT is constantly evolving and the userbase evolves with it. Most people are mini IT managers in their own homes now, managing infrastructure and services for the kids or spouses (or friends) - don't we all know a 'computer expert' in the family? Our industry (the IT one) has to recognise this evolution which is why I'm all for the DIY approach to the majority of user problems. The caveat is where to draw the line as there is always a grey area - because a little knowledge can be dangerous too.Often I'll get phoned up with a problem and the result is a simple reboot, either of a broadband router, a laptop, PC, Printer or some other device. Problems that need reboots occur and will likely always occur as it's very difficult to diagnose or fix some problems until they arise. I frequently tell users that the first things they must check is a) That everything is plugged in that is supposed to be plugged in b) That eve
Sorry for not posting yesterday. But, it wasn't for lack of trying. I've been having some problems logging into my account to post updates. Hopefully, there will be consistent access soon! Anyway, a new post is included below!
I've not been writing here this week as I've been rushed off my feet with a new term starting with endless paperwork, computer hiccups and glitches and an exhibition to get ready for next week.I designed us a lovely contemporary poster in Publisher and now the computer with that on won't talk to the printer - this elderly computer doesn't have publisher and copying and pasting resulted in lots of zzz's and asterisks and gobbledygook :( so the poster is very boring and ordinary - and wasted lots of hours of painting time attempting to sort it out :(We all paint very differently - Sue M's work is very abstract and often based on her visits to Florida. Sue G paints solely at the coast. Mary does fascinating work from old photographs, doing a lot of research into the backgrounds of the people she paints - maids, children in a spartan Victorian 'blind school' - she had a studio for a time in the building that had been the school - her work always has an interesting story behind it.
Microsoft has tweaked its MS07-17 update—which was issued to fix an animated cursor flaw that left the door open to attacks starting in March that continue to be picked up by security firms even now—to fix some glitches. The MSRC’s Christopher Budd wrote in the security center’s blog early Thursday morning that Microsoft [...]
Due to a problem (probably old age) with my modem, I have only fleeting moments of internet access at the moment. Someone from the cable company is coming out on Friday to give me a new modem. Until then, blog updates may be sporadic or non-existent, and I may be unable to respond to email. Apologies - back to normal by the weekend, I hope.
Hosting-Q and QiSoftware are experiencing minor problems with Java server side support.
Quite frankly after the migration to another server and everything appeared to be working– I was a bit surprised. These problems were expected and are being worked.
Recently i've been on xBox live playing Rainbow 6. However i've been playing it alot more since i found out that there is a points glitch that allows you to gain crazy points at the end of each xBox Live game. Some people have been saying you can only do the glitch for two games but i've actually playyed with someone where we did the glitch like 7 time and then someone pressed a button at the end. Here are a few resources on how to do the glitch... GameSpot, Experience Glitch, and GameFAQ's. I don't advice this however it does work and you get crrrrazy rankings in a little bit of time.
Who'd a thunk that USA Today would plant an IED under the juggernaut that's the new Chevrolet Malibu? Reviewer James R. Healey sets 'em up. He praises the sedan's styling, hushitude, roomy interior (huh?), price, "mildly satisfying" driving dynamics and acceleration. Healey knocks 'em down. "Impressions were colored, however, by some glitches... The V-6 model was tainted by a light howl from under the hood, a vibration in the steering wheel at idle and low speed, and violent shifts by the automatic transmission in some low-gear situations... The hybrid delivered a scare. Its powertrain kept racing and trying to fling the car forward after hard acceleration followed by firm braking. It finally required a full-on panic stop — anti-lock brakes kicking in, car nose-diving — to overcome the wildly revving engine and obey a red light." Healey also slates Chevy's supposed Camry killer for its reluctant and clunky six-speed autobox
