As he fielded questions about his gold lamé boots on the campaign trail in Iowa, Texas governor Rick Perry told voters in the Hawkeye State all about how Rudy Giuliani will overturn Roe vs. Wade if he’s elected president:
But his message is that all that matters is who a president would put on the Supreme Court, the place where any ruling eliminating the right to an abortion would be made. Perry said Giuliani gave his word that he would appoint “strict constructionist judges,” the kind that abortion foes think would strike down Roe v. One day after endorsing former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani for president, televangelist Pat Robertson explained his decision, saying that a Giuliani presidency features prominently in the Book of Revelation.
In his endorsement announcement the day before, Rev. Robertson had made reference to Mr. Giuliani’s tenure as “America’s Mayor,” but did not indicate that the Republican frontrunner was a key player in the Bible’s most apocalyptic book.
In his statement today, however, the televangelist made it clear that “in order for the Second Coming to occur, the world needs to end, and Rudy Giuliani is just the man for that job.”

I must admit I'm shocked by the recent news of the well-known evangelist and conservative Pat Roberson endorsing Rudy Giuliani for President of the United States.You can read about the story here but as unbelievable as it sounds, he actually did it. I honestly can't follow his logic. Giuliani supports abortion being a "right" and, at least at one time, was a cross dresser. In addition to that, he supports homosexual "marriage." Our friend, distributorcap, over at the Daily Kos recently posted a "diary" entry about Giuliani. He rips him pretty good. Due to time restraints, I will address one point he tries to make. Distributorcap says:"Rudy has flip flopped his positions SO many times on SO many issues that it is tough to keep track. If he hasn't flip flopped he has promised to appoint judges that are non-activist ---- which is just wingnut code for changing positions."
