The following essay, was sent by Bibi Himmat Kaur via the prodigal godson who recently returned home from the islands after having graduated and finished schooling while living it up under the the Caribbean sun.
The essay offers an interesting and alternative view point to that of the whole Kaurageous movement that has taken over [...]
What's on my mind tonight?Of course the assassination of formerPakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. Was she assassinated because she was a female? Was she assassinated because she pushedan agenda of democracy?Only time will tell.Sometimes in my nice and cozy (warm) Indiana home, I forget:that the world is a screwed up place.that being a chick in the year 2007 - well - it's still a dangerous thing.that there are mean and evil people out there who have no regard for life.I'll admit - I'm not an avid follower of Pakistani politics however, I am a follower of chicks who kick ass and take names. Benazir Bhutto was one of those chicks. As the first female prime minister of Pakistan (1988-90, 1993-96) and of any Islamic nation she was a well-educated woman who thumbed her nose at the male-domin
Excuse me, we’d like to chat but sometimes a girl just has to swing.
We will, however, stop for food. Food and giggling are very important in the Girl Power world.
The big girls just sit around looking beautiful, but the rest of us have things to do.
Pick those flowers faster, girls!!
We had friends over for dinner and games this evening. The little girls were busy and a bit difficult to capture on film without quite the blur of action. Rachel, Hannah and Bethany, however, were more than willing to step outside for a few pictures. We are very blessed to have good friends in our life.
Tomorrow we’ll have three extra boys over. Yikes! Don’t you know we’ll have some fun moments to capture on blog while they are here.

My brother is getting married in exactly eight days, and seeing as Kiyomi is the flower girl I figured it was about time I thought about getting her a dress. My future sister-in-law is a fairly calm person, but I could sense a little concern in her voice when she asked me a few weeks ago at her shower if I had thought about getting Kiyomi a dress yet. If it had even entered my mind. If I had
It’s over. There’s the Senior Bowl, the Hula Bowl, and the North-South Game, but for all intents and purposes, College Football is over.
Of course, we can look forward to the combine, recruits, the NFL Draft, Spring Ball, and well, months and months of nothing but baseball coverage, but this is the time where college football fans all across the country go on suicide watch.
Of course, the last game of the season turned out to be somewhat of a yawner with Florida dominating the game from start to finish. Of course, there were some fun games during the bowl season, but all in all, the postseason was again a huge ass disappointment. Can we just have a playoff please?
I don’t want to turn this into a playoff rant, so maybe I’ll turn it into a pro “more football” rant. Maybe there should be ladies’ football. It wouldn’t necessarily have to be “lingerie bowl” football, but you know, there’s lots of girls out there wh
I stumbled on this post on the Don'tStopThePop blog, where they've had the brilliant idea of compiling a list of the popular girl bands across the globe to come out during or since the teen pop explosion era. Part I/II. "Girl Power groups", as I feel like refering them right now, girl power being a term coined by the most famous of them all the Spice Girls. Remember them? At the height of their
