That is the question? Do you know the answer? I bet you don’t and it is the most simple answer there is. The next question I will ask you is how to fit an elephant into a refrigerator? You may think this is a weird question but the answer is really simple. So simple it just boggles my mind. The answer that was given made sense and I it was my first answer but I thought to myself it might hav

Here's a cute way to display/store your string or twine . I'll admit it's not really practical but it's awfully cute! These two giraffes were purchased at Daiso for $1.50. All I did was make a small cut for the mouth with a craft saw. Then all you do is wind the string and have the giraffe's mouth hold it in place. Couldn't be easier.

Extra Roomy Giraffe Print Pockets Weekender I heard it said by one of Oprah's wardrobe makeover experts one day that animal prints go with everything. While I don't think you can mix a cheetah print with a spring floral fabric, I will say that the addition of an exotic animal print brings a hot, sexy jungle look to a woman's ensemble. In my opinion giraffe is one of the more unique wild animal prints and I wonder why it's not used more in teen girl's bedrooms. I was looking for some tween safari theme decorating ideas and came across the usual cheetah, zebra and leopard print bedding sets and BOOM I chanced upon some luxurious chocolate brown and gold giraffe bedding. My first thoughts were to wonder why on earth I had not designed a room covered in giraffe patterns before. The only answer that I could come up with is that I might have regarded the earth tones found in a giraffe skin to be a little too dark or downright sexy for a tween's or teen's bedroom. I still might not advise using these earthy tones for a preteen, but older girls are demanding more and more sophisticated bedding for their daybeds in their dorm rooms as well as their beds at home. If you don't want to drown the room in a sea of giraffe opt for a sumptuous golden or brown dupioni silk for bedspread. If you skip the busy pattern for yo

Giraffe Neck Hairs Close UpHere's an interesting shot I got at the Dubbo Zoo - a close-up photo of a giraffe's neck, with the hairs and markings clearly visible. You can see that a giraffe does actually have a "mane" so to speak - there is a ridge of longer hairs along the back of the animal's neck. It's evident from the composition of this shot that "more is not always best" as David McMahon says on his blog. Sometimes you just have to ignore the whole and crop in on a small part of the object to achieve a certain effect. This photo turned out extremely clear and sharp, and seems almost as if you could reach out and touch the rough fur of the giraffe. This photo taken with the Fujfilm S9600 digital camera.Shutter Speed 1/340, F7.2, ISO 100Other blogs:

I’m willing to bet that five out of five hardcore travelers list “African Safari” pretty high on their lifetime to-do list. But this is certainly something you wouldn’t expect to see:
Who knew giraffes were so violent?

Space Giraffe was released on the Xbox Live Arcade today for 400 Marketplace points. Though some people have criticized its over the top use of psychedelic effects, I personally have found the game highly engaging and incredibly unique. It's not Tempest 2007, but even so it was well worth the download cost.I will issue this warning however - the game is definitely an acquired taste. For those wanting to hop aboard the latest misadventure of the Jeff Minter experience, it is probably everything that you could expect from the rogue game developer. For everyone else, just open your mind a bit and then you'll probably "get it".For more information about Jeff Minter and his Llamasoft brand, head over to the official site http://www.llamasoft.co.uk/blog/.
A quick background on Space Giraffe, this is an Xbox Live Arcade game that is only going to run you 400 points ($5) and from the information I had of it, it seemed good. The game runs on an engine that will remind you of the old Atari game Tempest, shooting down enemies, however having that Geometry Wars type crazy colorful graphics flare. A basic game, but at the right cost, it is coming out Wednesday (22nd) and so we all can just try it for ourselves.
Now that you know what it is, here is the amusing news coming from a review of the game put out by the Official Xbox Magazine (#75). Senior Editor Dan Amrich can be quoted from the review as saying something as bad as “Actually made us angry when we played it.” He sites problems of the visibility of enemies vs the backgrounds and ends the review with “Just really bad. Lacks a single redeeming quality, and or it’s busted to varying degrees in its own design, quality or basic functionality. No gamer of any strip
Alternative title: Don't learn this one from the animals.I saw this entry on the Maggid of Bergenfield and I had to post it here. What a fantastic story!Re'eh: Just Like ChickenThe Society for Exotic Kosher Cuisine met once a year at a local restaurant in Teaneck, usually a steak emporium. Its goal was obvious: the members ate the kosher but unusual. If the Torah allowed it, they wanted to taste it. Many in the community found their objective abhorrent, or at least decadent, but at one thousand dollars a plate, and a large membership, the SEKC raised a lot of money for local charities (appropriately, most of the proceeds went to feed the hungry). In past years, bison, gazelle, and venison (a polite word for deer, or as my son once exclaimed, "Hey! They're eating Bambi!") were popular, if noncontroversial choices. Last year, the theme of their annual banquet was game birds. The SEKC dined on pheasant, goose, partridge, and quail, all considered kosher according to Jewish law. The shec
Oooooo, how I love to find new and wonderful artists! Last week Kathy Jeffords the artist behind The Dreamy Giraffe was kind enough to leave a comment about some food she saw on this blog. And of course because I love to get comments I had to see who she was and where she was from and was pleasantly surprised that she is a very talented artist. Yeah! Allow me to introduce Kathy and her wonderful art. Whimsical is probably not the word I personally would use to describe her art because I think there is a feeling of depth and maybe just a little darkness to some of her pieces. Of course there are some pieces that make me smile and really deserve to be in my little collection. One in particular is shown here called, "Original Acrylic Painting - Peanut Butter Girl and Her Faithful Sidekick Jellybean". I love this piece because it is funny and makes me smile. She has a huge portfolio and lots of wonderful things for sale and if you are really looking to brighten your day you've got to add
I don't know about you, but I never look this chic while frolicing in the surf. Come to think about it, I do less "frolicing" and more "gingerly wading." Maybe if I looked as good as Cameron Diaz (see photo left), I'd be more of a frolic in the surf kind of gal!Ok, so I'll never have Cameron's body or her adorable smile, but I can steal her look. Not a bad consolation prize. What's the secret to Cameron Diaz's chic beach look? It's none other than the fabulous beachwear label Vitamin A. Designed by Amahlia Stevens, this Laguna Beach-based label is known for perfectly blending ultra-sexy silhouettes with the ultimate fit. A prime example is this fully lined giraffe print dress worn by Cameron. When else have you seen a cover-up look so darn hot? Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, Space Giraffe is finished. Space Giraffe, the super hippy trippy shooter experience from Jeff Minter, is now complete. Not only that, but on his personal blog he reveals one of the last features to be implemented into the game. The feature is fairly simple actually: a graph to chart your progress throughout the levels. The green line represents your recorded high scores for a given level, the yellow line represents what the game considers a "good" score, and the orange bit at the bottom represents the score you just accrued. So, according to this graph of Level 8, the overall score is below a "good" score, and well below the highest recorded score. The graph can also be manipulated to show multiple levels. Overall, it's a handy feature for those looking to improve themselves. So there you have it, Space Giraffe is done. Now all we need is a release date.
If you like The Magic Numbers and all their harmonizing but wished they rocked just a bit harder, then I have the band for you - The Parson Red Heads. Apparently everybody in Parsons Redheads is related or grew up with each other. If you check their MySpace page, they all have the Parson stage name and for all I know they wear black Nikes and purple shrouds, and you know what? I could care less. This is a phenomenal album that really showcases the California folk scene.
Evan Way is the lead Parson and has a wonderful voice that would fit in well on any 60’s compilation. Surrounded by the 4 piece harmonies and fantastic backing band, it will have you thinking of Crosby, Stills and Nash, The Byrds and other 60’s psychedelic folk acts. With each spin I find little nuances that make me enjoy it more than the previous listen.
For me, the best song on the disc is hands down, “Forever.” Other stand-out tracks include “Full Moon,” “Mossback” &

You have no idea how hard it was to find the proper shorthand for proportions through Google. My Math was always garbage anyway…
I’ve seen Space Giraffe dubbed “an unnoficial sequel to Tempest 2000” a few times. Looking at the video for the game it’s easy to see why, Space Giraffe looks like Tempest in the same way that you can see Asteroids in Geometry Wars.
If you were to ask me what my favorite Arcade game of all time was I’d easily nominate Tempest and am really looking forward to seeing this title hit the XBox Live Arcade. For more on Space Giraffe check out 1up.com’s exclusive look at Jeff Minter’s Xbox Live Arcade game.

Our emotions are a gift from God. When emotions are allowed to work as they are intended to work they can bless us and others in many ways. But in order to receive the blessing we must first realize that our emotions are always connected to a need being met or unmet. By listening to our emotions and asking ourselves why we are feeling a particular emotion we can discover an unmet need or a need that has been satisfied. For instance, if I feel sad because I have not seen my family in a long time my need for connection has not been met. On the otherhand, if I feel happy because I have spent time with my family then my need for connection has been met.Yet, many times we do not listen to our emotions and completely ignore them and/or act violently towards others as a result of not looking at the need we have. How many times have we felt angry and as a result insulted, judged, criticized, blamed or physically hurt someone? Probably too many to count. Many of us don't know what to do when we
