I have had full expectations that the new Ghostbusters game was going to be terrible.
It seems like everytime we hear about a game that has to be good it ends up being terrible.
But the more I see of this game the better it looks, can we really hope that Ghostbusters is actually going to [...]

We were told from the get go that what we were looking at was a very early build and served more as a tech demo that anything. One of the first things we noticed was tha

The new Ghostbusters games will feature the Ghostbusters theme song (the original Ray Parker Ghostbusters soundtrack) and no remixes. About two and a half years ago Terminal Reality went to game developer Sierra to show them a game they had been working on, and although they liked the game as well as the technology used Sierra asked why not do a Ghostbusters game instead as they told them that the Ghostbusters icon is the [...]
Ghostbusters is one of those nerdy properties that when reissued, will never please all of its fans.Even in a brief demo with a few other writers, questions -- and follow-ups -- circled around "crossing the streams" and even geekier topics. I'm not at that level of spirit-stopping enthusiast, but I'm cautious about the new version, probably because it shows so much promise. I hate to get behind something, especially a beloved property, only to see it crumble. The Ghostbusters animation, graphics, settings, and physics look great. The original cast has reassembled to record for this game. It's even being written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. But the biggest thing I didn't see was that story, and that narrative is an important part of Ghostbusters. We'll find out how well the script and se
This is track 3 on Nonstop Energy Mix #58.Most of this song actually bears no resemblance to the original Ghostbusters soundtrack song from the 80s. I only used the recognizable portion of this track for the DJ mix.Download
I can't believe it!Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) goes up to Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) and says, "Hi Egon. How's school? I bet those science chicks really dig that large cranium of yours." And then Egon replies, "I think they're more interested in my epididymus."You can tell by looking at Venkman's face that he'd like to respond, but he's not quite sure what Egon meant, or was referencing. What is the epididymus?I thought maybe it was like epidermis... That old joke, "Hey, your epidermis is showing!" (Your skin is showing -- like skin on your arm or neck) But... I had to look it up.Eww, the epididymus is gross!
A local council in England used taxpayers' money to pay for a ghostbuster to exorcise a woman's home. Sabrina Fallon heard banging from her loft and called police. But when officers arrived and found no evidence of intruders, they joked her home was haunted. Psychic Suzanne Hadwin, 35, was paid by Easington District Council in County Durham to exorcise a poltergeist. She cut her usual fee of £300 to £120 and the council put up £60 towards the sum. Hadwin believes she has now rid the property of its malign spirit. A council spokesman said: 'This is the first time we have had to take such action.' source: Metro UK
Stupendous news has reached my ability to comprehend awesomeness; Ghostbusters 3 is happening at last, with Dan Ackroyd and Harold Ramis producing and featuring the voices of all the original Ghostbusters. But rather than coming to a screen near you, the jump-suited New Yorkers will be arriving at a living room near you… Or, indeed, in your living room. Or wherever you keep your Xbox 360/Playstation 3, for the next Ghostbuster outing will be a videogame.
Ghostbusters 3 is being produced by Vivendi Games and the story is being written by Dan Ackroyd and Harold Ramis. The game will follow on from Ghostbusters 2 and will be set in Manhattan in the early 90s. Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson will all supply voices aswell as William Atherton, Brian Doyle Murray and Annie Potts. No word on Rick Moranis’ voice yet, but he is featured in the demo footage below.
Variety are reporting that developer Terminal Reality is making a “Ghostbusters” game

Prepare to meet a real blast from the past next year when the Ghostbusters and Slimer invade consoles.I know most movie tie-in games have a bad rap, but this game looks like it is shaping up pretty nicely. For more information and screenshots check out EL33TONLINE's Ghostbuster's scaring consoles in 2008.
While not an actual trailer but merely game play footage, this game is most definitely living up to it’s hype. Sierra Entertainment, the division of Vivendi Games, developing Ghostbusters™ The Video Game annouced this press release today.
“To deliver a special gaming experience to the tremendous Ghostbusters’ fan base around the world, the game will feature the original film cast from the classic Ghostbusters films, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson, back again for the first time in more than 20 years. Supporting the ghost busting crew are the talents of Annie Potts, Brian Doyle Murray and William Atherton. Equipped with a variety of unique weapons and gadgets, players will hunt, fight and capture a wide range of supernatural villains in a funny and frightening battle to save New York City from its latest paranormal plague.”
Yes even Slimer gets a shout out. Check out the Gameplay and the rest of the Press Release after the jump. (more&he
Well with the collapse of widespread muni-wifi and the questionable future of WiMax maybe the best we can hope for is the signficantly less ambitious free but sponsored wifi of the days of yore. CBS, por ejemplo, says it’s going to bring wifi to the midtown area between 42nd and the park - you know the drill you’ll first go to some CBS splash page with ads and some local content and then you get the wifi. The interesting thing is they’re working with the MTA to put hotspots up on MTA displays - maybe they’ll wire up some of the stations there - their coverage map hits a pretty dense area for train stations…
In other interesting news it turns out there’s a new Ghostbusters game in the works - it’s planning on being a sequel type of deal. What makes it interesting is that Murray, Ackroyd and Ramis are on board not just for voice acting but for script writing! Now that’s something to be interested in… Man, remember the old Ghostbuste
Ok I will admit that was a pretty lame and corniferous, but story behind the headline is actually pretty interesting. It appears that the next Ghostbusters project is not a movie but an actual videogame!
Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray, and Harold Ramis, who starred in the two Ghostbusters films in 1984 and 1989 respectively, will give their voice and likeness rights for the game. Aykroyd and Ramis will also write a story for the game which will take place in the early 1990s, post-Ghostbusters II, in what will be a new ghoul invasion of New York City.
Yea, it is that serious, game developer Terminal Reality will make the Ghostbusters game for PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360, while Red Fly Studios will make a Playstation 2, Wii, and DS version. Just think your an eccentric New York City parapsychologists murking demonic ghost’s, with particle accelerators, this game better live up to the hype.

I'ts for real this time,Ghostbusters the game is indeed in development. The game is being developed on the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, and PC. A release window has not yet been revealed, nor has a publisher or developer yet been attached to the project.Dan Aykroyd will have a hand in the project, penning the script with fellow supernatural scientist Egon, aka Harold Ramis and are going far beyond just the typical licensed add-your-voice-to-the-game-you-had-nothing-to-do-with formula. This going to be the big blockbuster sequel we never got. Forgoing a theatrical release, the game will serve as a direct sequel to the first two Ghostbusters films, with Ramis, Aykroyd, and Bill Murray all signed on to reprise their roles.American games magazine Game Informer will have exclusive coverage in their December issue about the upcoming Ghostbusters videogame. The Zootfly game was cancelled and now we know why.
American games magazine Game Informer will have exclusive coverage in their December issue about an upcoming Ghostbusters 3 videogame. We’re tentatively calling it the Ghostbusters 3 game, here’s the quote that explains why…
“Harold Ramis, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd are getting back together and revisiting their roles to make a sequel to Ghostbusters 1 and 2 – in video-game form. Both Aykroyd and Ramis are teaming up for scriptwriting duties and are going far beyond just the typical licensed add-your-voice-to-the-game-you-had-nothing-to-do-with formula. And no, this has nothing to do with the Ghostbusters Zootfly video demonstration that floated around the internet in January.”
The Zootfly game was cancelled anyway and now we know why, the real cast is reuniting to write for a CGI movie and do voice for both the movie and game! No word yet on who the developers behind the game will be or what platforms it will be for.

Ray Parker Jr. is an American guitarist, songwriter, producer, and recording artist, who was known primarily for writing the theme song of the gold-selling soundtrack of the hit motion picture, Ghostbusters.
The single was at #1 for three weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and at #1 for two weeks on its Black Singles chart. The song was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1984 but lost to Stevie Wonder’s “I Just Called to Say I Love You.”
The movie Ghostbusters spawned movie sequels and major cartoons features while the song “Ghostbusters” seemed to spawn major trouble for Parker.
He was accused of plagiarizing the melody from Huey Lewis & the News song, “I Want A New Drug” for his 1984 #1 hit theme to “Ghostbusters”. “Ghostbusters” was released only six months after Lewis’ hit reached #6 in the Billboard Hot 100.
The producers of Ghostbusters had approached Lewis to use his song in the film, but their

A spectre is haunting Eurasia - the spectre of Gerontocracy. All the Powers of new Europe are deserting a divided Union to shy away from this spectre: Bruxelles and Rome, Merkel and Blair, French anti-globalists and German Federalists. The new Great Game over Central Asia between Russia and the West is becoming a struggle to either raise or exorcise the ghosts of gerontocratic systems. Russia's sphere of vital interests in the near abroad can only be preserved by control over infrastructure, and above all the flows of energy from the region. This is achieved by catering to the needs of a gerontocratic and corrupt system, originating from the soviet heritage, which Moscow has left the states of Central Asia with. The West, to the contrary, has a vested interest in exploiting regional resources of oil and gas, and produce safe passages for receiving them. For long, the West was pragmatic in its approach to authoritarian regimes in the region, in order to reach the overarching goal of acce
Ghostbusters (1984) is a very funny film, a sci-fi/horror/comedy hybrid that represented the comedic apex of collaborators Ivan Reitman, Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd and Harold Ramis. Big budget laughers tend to be duds, but this movie defied all expectations and genres and has become the favorite of many. It is full of genuine laughs, not only from the famous big moments (like the Stay Puft Marshmallow man attacking), but also the small ones. This scene is a great example of the latter. In it, Peter Venkman (Murray) is administering a simple "test" for psychic ability. Okay, so he's really just trolling for college girls, but check out the way the scene is constructed. You've got the guy getting shocked, who's perfect as the paranoid "victim" who's leery of Murray's "negative reinforcement" (I love it when the gum flies out of his mouth). There's the girl who is obviously impressed by Dr. Venkman's attention to her. And there's Bill Murray (who's delightfully cruel to the guy), do
Today marks the tax return filing deadline, so in honor of this occasion, here’s a look at the most dedicated accountant ever to grace the silver screen.
- Who are you guys?
- We’re the Ghostbusters.
- Who does your taxes?
Louis Tully (Rick Moranis) is the nerdy accountant in Ghostbusters who’s in love with his neighbor Dana Barret (Sigourney Weaver). The bespectacled Louis is notorious for locking himself out of his apartment after lingering in the hallway to catch a few words with Dana, who barely gives him the time of day. But while Louis might not be lucky in love — or with locks — he’s a wiz at tax write offs.
And Louis knows how to pinch a penny. Instead of buying name-brand aspirin, he gets twice as many generic acetacylasilic acid pills for 35% less from Walgreens. Now that’s some savings!
For his four-year anniversary as an accountant, Louis celebrates by throwing a party complete with Nova Scotia lox and Brie cheese kept at room tem
GHOSTBUSTERS --------VS ---------DRACULA--------------------------------------------------------------------It was just another day in the New york headquarters of Ghostbusters inc. "Hey guys the phone is ringing, do you think I should answer it?" Venkman chuckled to himself ."Just get the dam phone, you know our secretary is ill today." Ray said as he glared at Venkman."Ok, keep ya knickers on, geez..." Venkman lifted the receiver. If you’re a fan of the Ghostbusters this could go one of two ways. With certainty you’ll be excited to hear that everyone’s favorite Ghost busting crew is getting back together. According to a recent interview with CISNFM Dan Aykroyd himself confirmed that a script for Ghostbusters III has been penned!
What’s the bad news? Apparently it’s going to be a CGI flick out sometime in the not too distant future.
What’s the good news? There’s a good chance that the whole Ghostbusters cast will be back for this.
While the jury is still out on potential the idea of another Ghostbusters flick is certainly exciting.
