“Iron Man 2”, “The Avengers”, “Captain America”, and “Thor”. It’d be hard to pack more awesome in Marvel’s upcoming slate than is already there, especially now that they own their own properties and can cross mingle their franchises. But what of the titles that aren’t there? Films like “Magneto,” “Spider-Man 4,” and “Ghost Rider 2.” Are they still in the pipeline? The simple answer, of course, is that Marvel doesn’t own the rights to those films, and that they are going ahead as previously scheduled with other studios. Or not. Consider “Ghost Rider 2.” Although producer and former Marvel head honcho Avi Arad claimed last year that they were developing a sequel to the Nic Cage starrer about Johnny Blaze, a hero who is literally hell on wheels, tha

Finally, Daniel Way has left Ghost Rider. The Revolution has been waiting for this moment pretty much ever since Ghost Rider #1 came out. I just wasn’t impressed with Way’s writing at all. The new scribe on Ghost Rider is Jason Aaron. He is the writer over on Wolverine, and while Aaron has never blown me away, he certainly has never disappointed like Way has. So, this is at least a step in the right direction.Unfortunately, mi hermanos Mark Texeira and Javier Saltares are off Ghost Rider as well. That is unfortunate, since I like Saltares art and I have always found Texeira to be the definitive Ghost Rider artist. Roland Boschi takes over the art duties and brings a much different look to this title. Let’s go ahead and hit this review for Ghost Rider #20.Creative TeamWriter: Jason Aa
Blackheart: There’s an old saying: Raise no more devils than you can lay down. My father raised one too many.
The new CW show, "Reaper" has a few interesting places where it agrees and disagrees with the "my soul is in the Devil's pocket" storyline. I've enjoyed both, so an exploration will be fun.In "Ghost Rider," the guy sells his soul to save his ailing father, who is soon killed anyway. In "Reaper," the guy's parents had already sold his soul before he was even born.In "Ghost Rider," the guy has powers that are effectively static and cumulative, meaning that they don't change or go away, and he can learn how to use them better and better every time he does the Devil's work.In "Reaper," the guy's powers vary week to week, depending on what villain he's fighting. Every episode there's a new ability that he (so far) seems to have very little control over. It seems like he loses his old powers while gaining new ones, but that is unclear. My hope is that "Reaper" will end up revealing the guy can have every power imaginable, like Peter Petrelli, and only pulls out whichever one is nece

SHORT REVIEW: There are times when a film is released and it is so utterly vacuous it distinguishes itself in the cornucopia of crap known as Hollywood. It is so ugly and incapable that it warrants becoming a notable cult classic.
This isn’t one of those films. This is plain ol’ stupid.
REVIEW:
Nicholas Cage has bad taste in movies. His films tend to be blunt, flashy affairs with paper-thin plots and characters so stupid they have to a helmet every time they step outside. He may be the single greatest fattener of discount DVDs bins worldwide. This outing is bad even compared to the low bar set by Cage's reeking repertoire. Think of it, we're talking about a field that includes Guarding Tess, Captain Corelli's Mandolin and Windtalkers and this one sticks out as the bad one.
Cage stars as Johnny Blaze a dimwit stunt man that makes a deal with the devil. This deal makes Blaze Satan’s bounty hunter...or at least I think that is what happens. The whole thing isn't explained well.

I’m feeling so negative toward Marvel right now because of the Fantastic Four 2 debacle. As the opening credits of Ghost Rider were running, I was thinking, “I really don’t want to hate this. I want to like it, even just a little bit.” This time, that wasn’t too tall of an order: I liked Ghost Rider a little bit. I didn’t have those same thoughts during Hellboy: Blood and Iron, I guess because Hellboy has never disappointed me. (more…)

Once intended as a feature for Johnny Depp, the long-germinating feature film adaptation of Marvel Comics’ cult title Ghost Rider stars Nicolas Cage as motorcyclist Johnny Blaze, who transforms into a skull-faced angel of vengeance to battle the forces of evil. Though perhaps a bit too mature for the role, Cage brings a degree of humor to the outrageous proceedings; he’s well matched by the Easy Rider himself Peter Fonda, amusingly cast as Mephistopheles, the demon with whom Blaze strikes a bargain to save his father, and in turn, causes his transformation into Ghost Rider.

This week, I have seen:
Ghost Rider
Not a bad action movie but see it when rates a lower.
My suggestion: DVD or half-price ticket
Number 23
Intriguing but I was always expecting Carey to make a some kind of joke(mostly at the begining). Maybe after a few roles like this one, we will see him as an actor and not only as a comedian.
My suggestion: DVD
Music & Lyrics
Ha! The sacrifice I make for you. A real chick movie with Grant recycling the same lead role. Can he do serious stuffs? Thank god, it was also funny at times and not only romantic. What was more funny? Me with 90% of women in the theater from what I could see in the dark.
My suggestion: specialty channel(movies)
Ma fille, mon ange(French-Quebec movie)
A father discover while surfing porn sites that his daughter will be making a live sex webcast. It’s a drama with a twist in the end.
My suggestion: specialty channel(movies)
Four movies in the same day. It was a long day!
This is the new fantasy thriller movie and big US hit which hits UK cinemas today Friday 2nd March. Starring Nicholas Cage as the eponymous ‘Ghost Rider’ and his alter-ego Johnny Blaze, this is the latest comic book conversion to hit the big screen.
Cage’s Johnny Blaze is a daredevil stunt biker who, as a kid, sells his soul to Mephistopheles (played by the legendary Peter Fonda) to spare his dad from cancer. So the Devil kills his Dad in an accident instead and laughs his head off. In return, Blaze has been turned into the Ghost Rider – a mystical figure who collects on other contracts made by the devil with desperate souls who turn to Satan in a bid to avert disaster.
All good so far (sort of), but then Mephistopheles’ son Blackheart (Wes Bentley) decides he wants to outdo his evil dad by making his own hell on earth. It’s the Ghost Rider’s job to stop him and his henchmen at all costs. Also starring Eva Mendes and Sam Elliott, it’s a c
Ghost Rider is still riding high at the top of the Box Office charts for the second week in a row. This comic adventure starring Nicolas Cage took another £10 million ($19 million) and has joins a select few comic book heroes that have done this from Batman, Spider-Man and also the man of steel Superman.
Ghost Rider has now taken almost £40 million ($78.7 million) in only 10 days which comes as a big surprise for the movie company as they can clearly see that it is not only the comic book fans that are flocking to see the movie but also mainstream movie goers as well.
Second place at the Box Office this weekend was The Number 2, the new movie starring Jim Carrey which took about £7.6 million ($15.1 million)
Ghost Rider went down a storm at the Box Office as it took $44.5 million on its opening weekend. Nicolas Cage stars in this movie about a motorcycle stunt rider who has a second job in his spare time and that is as a collector of souls for the devil himself.
Norbit was the top box office hit this year until now which took 34.2 million on its opening weekend, this weekend Norbit only managed $16.8 million this weekend which has now managed to take $58.9 million to date.
Looks like Ghost Rider has marked the return to form of Nicolas Cage

If you do not know by now the typical movie website usually consists of wallpapers, aim icons, and sometimes screensavers. Some of the websites go beyond the box and try to entertain us, many think that "freezing" up our computers with their "high quality" site is enough entertainment, sometimes less graphic is better -of course some people don't agree.
Anyway, visit the site of the new movie Ghost Rider, get some free wallpapers, aim icons, and even a screensaver!
Also featured on the site (the reason why I am sending you there) are two games: "Hellfire" and "Demon Duel," check them out watch the trailer and hopefully this will help get your Friday started out right!

host of a "spirit of vengeance" in exchange for the safety of his true

Eva Mendes attends the world premiere of Ghost Rider with co-star Nicolas Cage (and his wife Alice Kim) at NYC's Regal E-Walk and after-party at Marquee on Thursday night. So far, Ghost Rider has mustered up a measly 23% on Rotten Tomatoes. Here are some of my fave quotes from the reviews:* "This Rider doesn't go down so easy" — Sci-Fi Weekly * "Ghost Rider is a comic fan's celluloid nightmare. Jokey to a fault and weighty as newsprint, it lives down to the negative attributes attached to the comic book film tag" — Reel Times * "A good way of describing the overly dull Ghost Rider would be to compare it to the excellent God of War. Take God of War, strip it of it's impressive visuals, remove all the weapons bar one and throw in a sub rate bike section and there you have it, Ghost Rider in all its lifeless glory. I don't know why he does it, but once or twice a year Ethan makes me go and do a movie review. And like clockwork, I come back yawning from the new Hollywood catalog of eye-popping special effects and budget surpluses, loosely wrapped around a $2 script.
But this year I was pleasantly surprised; this movie was a lot of fun.
The first thing that stands out about Ghost Rider is the all-star cast: it features a flaming skull, a tall skinny guy and a chick with fantastic cleavage, and a stellar myriad of various other supporting actors. For a documentary about a tall skinny guy selling his soul to the devil for a chick with fantastic cleavage and then becoming "Flaming Skull Guy", I think there's going to be huge buzz about the performances when the Oscars come around this year.
Still, while exhilarating, it was a rather disturbing piece for me --a former "Ghost Rider" myself—to watch.

Ghost Rider 2007 Starring: Nicholas Cage, Peter Fonda, Eva Mendes, Sam Elliott Directed by: Mark Steven Johnson Rated: PG-13 for horror violence and disturbing images. 114 min Suspend all reality. Remind yourself every five point three minutes that this is a comic book. Don't despise Nicholas Cage's overacting. Like fire, and lots of it. Enjoy melodramatic statements booming from theater speakers so loudly that they actually echo faintly. Be a twelve year old boy. There. That should ensure that you will enjoy Ghost Rider. I like Nicholas Cage, and I even enjoy his overacting when it is a in a seriously moody and/or quirky movie script. I like him in things like well… Raising Arizona, for instance. But I honestly could not (and I tried) watch him mutter things like, "he may have my soul…. but he doesn't have my spirit" (Him being the devil) or "I will use this curse to fight against you!"…while pointing one long, bony finger (There was a lot of finger-p
My whole life I have lived in a fantasy life so it's only natural that I have an unstoppable affintiy for comic books and superheroes. I own almost every Marvel and superhero movie they have come out with. I've passed this obsession on to my son, I think. It's so much fun sharing the excitement with him when a new superhero movie comes out. Truly, I get as excited as he does. And this weekend, I'm going to take him to see Ghost Rider. I've visited the website, watched the clips and tried to determine if it is suitable for a five year old. From everything I've seen, it doesn't look much worse than anything he can easily see on ABC these days. I'm amazed at what they show on regular tv, which is why we don't usually watch the tube unless it's a movie about something super or magical. I feel like jumping up and down at the thought of seeing it, seriously.....I am a big kid. And what a great way to celebrate my offer of representation from The Children's Literary Agency! Celebra
Ghost Rider Starring Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendespart 1part 2part 3part 4part 5part 6Watch The Preview First:My Review:Another Marvel Comic based movie has sprung up! In "Ghost Rider" Nicholas Cage plays daredevil Johnny Blaze, who makes a bargain with the devil(Peter Fonda) to spare his father's life. Of course I read about that part, instead of that terminal cancer, he lost his life in a stunt accident. Then there's his love Roxanne(Eva Mendes) who meets Johnny Blazes years later. After that pact he made, Johnny Blaze becomes a flaming-skulled avenger, The Ghost Rider. The effect of Cage becoming the Rider was amazing. And that chopper, who knew having your own custom design would made a difference. Or better yet, make other owners jealous. At the jail scene, Ghost Rider made the character more extreme when he got the prisoner's jacket and gloves, and it was very funny when that innocent prisoner fainted after The Rider escaped. Sam Elliot was awesome playing the first Ghost Rider,
Saw it tonight with my son! It was awesome! Although, I do have to say that I wouldn't recommend it for young children. Initially I had spoke to some family friends who had seen it and taken their young children and they assured me that not only was it a great movie but that it was suitable for a five year old.Wrong....in my opinion. The villain is pretty darn scary and a few times I almost wanted to look away and that's saying something, lol. All in all it was a great movie but I regret bringing my son. He absolutely loved it and is sleeping like a baby as we speak so it couldn't have frightened him too much! Just a nervous mom, I guess.Seriously folks, if you like superhero or fantasy movies, you have got to see this one! It's up there with my top ten now!
Ghost Rider is sure to be action packed. We haven't had it here in New Zealand yet... they are so so so slow. I've seen the trailer a few times now. This makes me laugh, it's on the website and also at the start of the movie. It would be a good thing then if your head is on fire to make sure you wear a helmet? You wouldn't want to hurt yourself. It would be a good thought to keep your head (if it's on fire) away from the fuel tank of the motorbike...lol Maybe just lighting your head on fire is not a good thing... lol. So funny. Eh you would think that no one would do that sort of thing... but not everyone has common sense.A young looking Nicolas Cage above. Movie Trailer // Site
