The Blue Peter presenter said: “People keep writing asking for my socks — and they insist they are used.” He also admitted members of the public often mistake him for T4 presenter and fellow Welshman Steve Jones. And Gethin said supermarket staff regularly advise him how to win the BBC dancing show with his partner, Danish beauty Camilla Dallerup, 33. He said: “I get random things like some guy stopping me in Sainsbury’s and saying ‘I thought your hips were great, but you need to follow the movement of your body’.”

Everyone seems to be going mad for Gethin after last weeks fabulous Viennese Waltz, not to mention the group dance where he dazzled the ladies in a sexy uniform! He must be loving it! Now if you have ready many of my previous posts then you’ll know that I haven’t been a huge fan of Gethin because I thought he needed to put a lot more personality and heart into his dances. So, he has obviously taken my advice, hence the great dance last week! Let’s hope he can keep it up with the dreaded Rumba.

There was no rest for Gethin after Saturday – he was straight back in the training room learning this week’s dance. Gethin was noticeably quiet during the lesson with Camilla commenting, ‘You’re very serious when you learn something new aren’t you.
