This week could be the most busy weekend for England soccer players after four England soccerstar married their girlfriends over the weekend.
Chelsea soccerstar John Terry kicked off the busy weekend on Friday when he married Toni Poole at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. They were followed by Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard and Alex Curran at Cliveden House Hotel in Berkshire around 2pm on Saturday afternoon. Manchester United star Gary Neville went next, marrying Emma Hadfield at Manchester Cathedral around 3pm, followed shortly afterwards by his club teammate Michael Carrick and Lisa Roughead at St Peter’s Church in Wymondham, Leicestershire.

Liverpool soccerstar Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher announced that they will stay at Anfield until 2011 after signing their renewal contracts. Gerrard and Carragher put pen for the new deal just before fly to Estonia for England duty. “We are both local lads and I’ve always said I wanted to stay here for the rest of my career,” said Jamie Carragher.
“I think these are exciting times at the football club with the takeover and the new stadium. I don’t see why we can’t go from strength to strength and win a load more trophies, not just the Premiership but more cups as well, having said that, the title is the one we want”, said Gerrard.
According to the new contract Steven Gerrard will earn up £6million over the next four years, while Jamie Carragher will earn £4million until 2011.

Steven Gerrard has sprung to the defence of Liverpool supporters after Uefa spokesman William Gaillard labelled them the worst in Europe after problems marred the Champions League final. The Reds captain, speaking while on duty with England, claimed he couldn't understand how the Liverpool fans – his friends and family included - could be blamed for the chaos in Athens. "What Uefa have said really upsets me," revealed the midfielder. "We've travelled everywhere together for the six or seven years I've been in the first team and from what I've seen, their behaviour has been fantastic. "I had friends and family at the final. Their opinion was that the organisation wasn't good enough. I'm sure when it all gets broken down, they will conclude the organisation wasn't good enough and maybe a minority of Liverpool fans let themselves down but as far as I'm concerned the European Cup Final has to be in a bigger stadium with better organisation."
