Currency Trading Is Not The Monopoly Of The Nerds And The Geeks
The general perception is that any and every person who is involved in the business of trading of currency or foreign exchange is a person who has a super high IQ. To hear words and phrases like liquidity ratio, central bank intervention and inflationary demand makes us feel as if we are back in the boring and inherently avoidable lecture on economics that we were forced to attend in our college. However, all these preconceived notions apart, forex or currency trading is not the domain for the super intelligent alone. There is no doubt that you need brains to get involved in forex trading. Then, I bet you cannot name a single sphere of human activity that does not need the application of one's mind. A bit of brains and lot of research can help you make a tidy sum in currency trading.

      In defence of geeks
There's an ad for BT on the telly currently in which a mother talks to her partner about her worries for her daughter who's spending lots of time on the internet. She pauses for dramatic effect, as we are left to think of the terrible things that could be happening to the kid. So what is she concerned about? Some sexual predator grooming her child? Oh no, it's much much worse than that... She's worried that her daughter is turning into a geek. Yeah OK, it's all light-hearted enough, but it misses an important point. If it weren't for geeks, there'd be no internet, no eBay, Amazon, Facebook and all the other crap that we can pass the time with. There'd be no computers for that matter, or iPods or mobile phones or CDs or any other electrical gadgets. I'm sure it was geeks (before they were c

Half part satire, half part pointing the finger at the ludicrous nature of the outcast, the geek, us...those of us that love comics so much that we transcend understanding at times. It's a little scarce, but I'm sure you can find it at a real comic book store, or at least on ebay and some online retailers, I also didn't try hard to find it, considering that It's about 6 am here in Seattle, and I'm a little tired from a hard nights sleep.Sponsored links (help me out please)Monsters HD Store - The Chopping Maul!Everything StartrekMST3K is Back!   - RiffTraxSee what's new at fye.com My Comic Book Store Powered by Amazon!

Link via gizmodo ShareThis

Biggest Freaks: Ron Paul Supporters or Apple Geeks?
Wired gets the unusual opportunity to test the fervor of the internet’s two most mobilized camps. The political supporters or Mac Users. Hint: Ron Paul in Leopardskin? Wired Article: Wonder Wine Gadgets for Geeks
A quick link to a pretty fantastic article by Wired contributor Lore Sjöberg who engages in some creative wine gadget imagineering. Some of his proposed creations sound pretty freakin’ cool. Automatic Wine Twirler The first thing you do with a glass of wine is swirl it. I’m led to understand that there are sound gastronomic reasons for this, but mostly it just gives you a chance to lift your glass and wordlessly say, “I AM GOING TO DRINK SOME WINE NOW.” Each variety (or, in wine jargon, “varietal”) of wine has an optimal rate of rotation, or it will as soon as I make up a little chart. This glass, then, is set on a rotating stem, and buttons on the base allow you to swirl your wine appropriately with but a touch. Also, the whirring is soothing. No, Lore, you had it right the first time. Variety is the correct term. Varietal is mainly used as an adjective (”This wine has outstanding varietal character”), and only in one specific case as a
