I have been collecting some silk dupionni, charmeuse, etc for small mini wardrobe I am working on. Can I get away with lining the dupionni pants and jacket with cotton batiste? Must it be china silk? I am thinking cost in part and the other part is I am plus sized and thought that the batiste (100% cotton) might give a more body "look" to my items. Since we don't have a Review Gallery for embroidery, I figured this would be a nice way to share what we've done. I don't have an embroidery machine (yet!) but when I get one, I'll be interested in embellishing garments with embroidery. I have seen quite a few inspirational pictures for children's clothes, but would really love to see more for adults.
