      Garden Fencing
I made my very first garden when I was six in a small corner at the end of my grandmother's garden. It was a small patch, not more than six rows by 10 plants long, but it was MINE, with the flowers I picked and the dirt that I dug. And I knew that it was mine when Nana helped me put up the sections of wire fencing that set it off from HER garden.Garden fencing can serve many purposes, but one of the best is to accent and define areas of your garden. Whether you choose a six or twelve inch high border edging, or stand a section of post and rail garden fencing in the center of a sweep of lawn, garden fencing can add a beautiful accent to your landscaping. Take a look at some novel, unusual ways to use garden fencing to make your garden a showplace that will be the envy of the neighborhood.Wo

      Maintaining Your Garden Tools
To keep them working garden tools require very little maintenance. If you keep them clean and sharpened and lubricate them well they can last a long time. Garden Bench Prices
Garden benches can be made of a number of materials ranging from natural to man made materials and so the price too varies on the materials being used. Apart from the materials used, the prices are also dependant on the size, shape, additional features and finish of the garden benches.Prices are usually high for garden benches that have a lot of handiwork involved. If they are relatively simple pieces, prices are not as high. Simple wood benches are the least expensive benches, however if the quality of wood used, is extremely good then prices may shoot up. Foto Friday: Our Little Garden
We got our new patio backyard landscaped this week. Following the rules of our homeowners association, working with limited space and with conservation in mind, below is what we came up with and had installed by professionals. It was a slight deviation from our original plan. It now includes Jasmine vines, an African Sumac tree and Texas Privet and Hawthorne shrubs. Not too bad. We may add more in the future. I hope you believe me when I say it's much more impressive in person. It's hard to get a good picture of such a small area. Before:After:Before:After:If you're worried about us having a good size yard for Zane to play. This is a picture of the park our house sits on taken from our front porch. As you can see, it's nice and large and with grass. This picture was taken in late February.

The Right Plants for Your Garden
Which are the right plants for the conditions in your garden? We often buy plants on impulse only to discover when we get them home that there is nowhere in the garden that really suits them. Before buying plants, carefully look at your garden to determine how much sun and shade it gets, whether the soil is well drained or waterlogged, and whether your planting area is sheltered or receives gusts of wind. You'll then be equipped to buy the best plants for your situation; shade-loving plants for the sheltered areas, sun-lovers for the warm spots, drought-resistant plants for the dry areas (which may be either sunny or shaded), and swamp plants for the poorly-drained parts. It is also important to test your soil first to check the pH level of your soil and what kind of nutrients you will ne
